Done in black, with silver wire edging.  And screws.  I made it for my boyfriend's 20th birthday.  He's a big fan of black and had been asking me to make him a black duct tape rose...but plain black is so boring  Cheesy

I made the rose, then used a needle to thread wire through it. (I know what youre thinking- poor needle! All the gunk did come off though, and i only use it for journal-making)  The...i dont know why flower anatomy very well...stamens? in the middle of the rose are also made of wire, with a black bead at the top.  That wire actually goes though the thickest part of the rose, to help hold it all together. (Now that was a pain to do!)

The screw in the middle just screwed right into the duct tape, i was pretty impressed with how easy it was.  The ones on the stem were just taped on.

(Click on the pictures if youd like to see them bigger)

Hope you like it, my boyfriend did!

the rose is cool, the wire's okay - but oh my god, the 'thorns' are just absolutely AWESOME! I love them to an absurd level. Great work!

Those are very cool. My boyfriend thinks duct tape is the material of the future. I will have to try the roses out on him for his birthday!
