Well, I decided I want to make something for him to save my moo-lah, and I need a little bit of advice. He's into baseball, and basketball. He likes the Tigers and the Pistons because we live in MI. Any suggestions as to what to make for him using the logos, colors, and players pictures would be so helpful. I have a little over a month to complete this, fyi. Thanks in advance for all your ideas!

what kind of crafty skills do you have?...id say that if you can sew you could find some material with the logos on it and sew up a blinket or pillows or something...and as for the pictures, maybe you could declopage (<--?sp?) a them onto a keepsake box or something....what does he spend most of his time doing?...does he play sports and go to games and stuff?

For Christmas I made my brother a decorated shadow box. He is REALLY into Nebraska football, so I made it a place where he can display pictures and tickets. I painted the frame and outside of the box in the team colors. Inside is black, except I painted the bottom to look like a footbally field.

Good luck,

Do you knit?  Maybe you could design a winter hat or scarf with the pistons logo on it - that way he could wear it all (cold, snowy, Michigan) winter during basketball season.

If the logo part is too hard, you could knit a basic plain scarf in one of the team colors and sew on a patch with the logo - they have a pennant for sale here you could cut the logo out of that and sew it on to something.

Thanks for the ideas guys! Smiley I think I'll either make him a pillow with the logo or decoupage something. My sewing machine broke, but I think (hopefully) it will be fixed soon. Now I need to find some pictures...Modge Podge is good for decoupaging stuff right?

you could always stencil something.  for xmas, i got my boyfriend a vintage Pittsburgh Pirates baseball tee off  ebay and he LOOOOOVES it.  you could look for vintage jerseys and just copy it, so then it's a little bit more unique than what everyone else has.
and yay for michigan!
