I am quite addicted to stitching pillowcases now... this is um... my 4th.  Grin  The birdies are from needlecrafter.com, the banner and lettering is from the Stitch-It Kit.  The good news?  This is a gift, so I wont have 5 billion embroidered pillowcases in my linen closet...  Wink

This is very sweet!  I love the little flowers.

What kind of pillowcases have you been using?  I just bought a pair of 100% cotton ones (400 threadcount) and was dismayed by how much they wrinkled in the wash.

You do have a point, Katxena - they do wrinkle a great deal.  I always iron before and after stitching...  This stripey case is a bit less wrinkly than the others I've used, but also less soft, so I guess that's a trade-off.  Roll Eyes  My boyfriend claims that if you "shake the wrinkles out" of wet stuff before drying, it wrinkles less in the dryer... I've yet to try that, though! Smiley

Thank you graciasdonny! (Eh, did I just say thank you twice?)  Grin

Beautiful projects like that are what made me want to learn embroidery.

Yay!  You have excellent taste in choices for objects to embroider Wink

I've embroidered enough pillow cases so I'm never without one that I've hand embroidered.  I try to keep them all to a sleepy-time theme too, just to keep with the bed-time vibe Smiley

I was going to say that, in addition to loving your work on this pillowcase, I love the case that you chose. What a beautiful gift. I always look forward to seeing your posts and what you have made.

I made a bunch of pillowcases recently too--they do make great gifts, but I'm sad to not have one for myself yet. Smiley

Sooo beautiful!  I love that you used multiple types of embroidery stitches to get that crazy textured effect..  I'm really starting to fear posting my completed stuff, you Craftster types have skills!!!

This is so nice and I'm envious that I didn't make it.  And your pictures are lovely too.

Adorable!  I like how chunky your stitches are.  Do you use all 6 threads of the floss?

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.
