I usually never finish any of my bags but i finally finished this one and i am super happy with it.
I used McCall's pattern P302 view D that i have had for a long time. I made the bag out of canvas and painted one green and white strips with acrylic paint and fabric medium. i altered the pattern a bit because the canvas was so thick i couldn't get the zipper to sew in properly so i took out the zipper and did some adjusting to put the lining in.
i am super happy with and i am going to use this bag for school in the fall.

with out further ado here is my bag:

I simple adore the liner! The photo of you wearing the bag put the bag's size into proportion, and I must say, its the perfect size! Its beg enough for school , but small enough for it to look cute. If I was anywhere near as skilled as you, then I would DEFINATLEY give a shot at making that bag, but unfortunately, I'm not. (I had a bad experience with sewing in circles.))

thank you. i am not all that skilled with sewing i just make up "techinques" and fixes to my problems as i go to make it work. i managed to get lining circle done okay but i had to fudge a few places because i put the strap in wrong.
