Here is my latest bag.  It is an Amy Butler Swing Bag inspired bag.  I've been admiring Amy Butler's bags and fabrics, but I a cannot find a Canadian source for them, so I decided to see if I could create something similar.  I think I did a pretty good job.

For some reason, the bottom corners look much pointier in the pictures than they are in real life.  I think it's because I had the bag resting on the step and it wasn't hanging properly.

I hope you enjoy!

You don't have to get it right the first time, just the last time.

Great bag!  I love the long handles.  Gorgeous fabric too - did you get that fabric in Canada?  We used to have so many textile factory outlet sources in south-western Ontario but now I only know of Fabricland and Len's Mill Stores.  I'm not one to buy fabric on-line because I really have to touch it and see it in person.  Too bad we can't get Amy Butler fabric here.

I'm live in St. Catharines Margarita Miss, home of one crappy Fabricland.  I frequently pop "over the river" to the Niagara falls area.  I picked up this fabric at Joann's.

Leesah...I got the fabric at Joann's in Niagara Falls.  It was something like $6.99/yard.  The bag was made of half a yard of outer and half a yard of inner fabric with not a scrap to spare!

I like it.  I made one of these too, but used the same fabric, just in different colors for the exterior and the lining.
