Yay, my first beanie! I have been planning this a LONG time, along with my line-up of other fruit insides like apples and oranges. Oranges would be difficult though...

Anyway, I started this last night, and only got like half of the white part done (it is actually a very, very light pink since I don't have white yarn *cries*) because I was dead tired, so I sat down to watch two episodes of Project Runway today (They are so MEAN this season!) and I finished it!

The seeds are felt pieces, hot glued on. My sister bought me this cheap-but-gorgeous lime green yarn from Wal-Mart awhile ago and I line the edge with brown.

I didn't use a pattern or anything, just wondered what a kiwi looked like and went to town, hoping that it wouldn't be too wonky.

I am actually very happy with this, I can't believe it!

I want to sell it because I am a poor carless, jobless, lifeless 15-year-old (almost 16, woohoo). What do you think I should take it for? I don't have an Etsy or anything, I just use LiveJournal, I wonder if this makes me unprofessional...

Anyway, here are the pics, sorry about the babble, this is actually my first craft post.

this is so awesome! I've been wanting to make some kind of fruit as a hat, but my list of incomplete projects is way too long  already.:/

That hat is really cute! I think the light pink is better than white would be, nice funky contrast with the green...I have no idea what you could GET for the hat I bet a lot depends on what the site/ store is you are selling it on, but honestly craftspeople should get at LEAST what they think is fair for the time they put in plus cost of materials.

Congratulations and good luck...

I've been inspired by the Kiwi Beanie.....and made 2 beanies!!!!! Lol one is purple and one is pink....but theyre very plain arent they  Wink
maybe if I transform the purple one into a fruit...say a plum...or a grape...maybe some nice dangles for the pink beanie...some beads...is there any PINK fruit?Huh Lol oh the possibilities...if only I thought of what FRUIT I'd make before using a colour that can't really look like anything edible.  Cry

LOL any suggestions of what to add or what to do with these? Its gonna be a present for a friend of mine.

i love the colors of them both! you can maybe make the pink one into a strawberry? lol possibly. but i think they are great the way they are! maybe if you add like a flower or something or maybe even a button it will give them a nice touch!
