This is my new favorite knitted item!

I used this pattern: http://www.chezplum.com/?page_id=30

...and some leftover Kool-Aid Dyed Wool of the Andes.

Everything I need to carry with me fits in it as evidenced by this:

I know you can't see it, but there's a checkbook, wallet, cellphone, compact, lipbalm, a few lipsticks and a fold up brush.  Imagine what I'd carry if I had a bigger bag!!

Here's a close up of the lining and the cool magnetic snap I bought at WAL-MART!

Thanks for looking!

Oooh, so pretty!  Everyone's version of this looks great, but I love the colors on yours the most!
The lining looks really nice as well.

What flavors of Kool-Aid did you use to get that great purple color?  I've read that it can be difficult to achieve.

THANKS!!  I used grape Kool-Aid, but a LOT of it...and I think I may have supplemented it with some blue and red food coloring, I can't remember b/c I dyed it last Christmas Smiley  The other color is from black cherry, so that may have helped the purple!

wow, just went in to check what's new in Crafster, and here you are with a new purse !! Love the colors as well, and interesting how you made the handle longer (or not ..?). Did you make it in garter stitch ?  So glad you like the pattern btw..   Cheesy

Oh... and as always, how about sending me pics for my Gallery..?   Wink

Yes, I did the handle in garter stitch - I got a little lazy!  And the handle is a little longer, but again, lazy - I just started knitting while watching Lord of The Rings and stopped when I ran out of yarn!  I don't think I was paying much attention...

I'll send you some pictures today.  Thanks for a great pattern.  I look forward to getting the bigger versions of it for some Holiday gifts!!  And your shrug is awesome, too.  I guess I'll have to get that one...
