this is a princess type skirt i made for my 6 year old cousin. its fun to make skirts for her because even though she is 6 and im 25 we some how manage to have almost the same size waist , so i just make the clothes to fit me only a little shorter and they usually fit her perfect..the idea for this was just a way to use up some pink and white lace and tule that i got for free and would have never used for myself..

Now try and bear with me as i am modeling it because my cuz is at G-mas  for the week and i couldnt wait for her to get back to post it ... i hope she likes it

edited new pics
here is my cousin wearing it

i used some t shirt scrapes for the waist band and the under layer is a simple square skirt made from some type of fabric that seems to be a cross between felt and fleece ( im not sure what its called}
and the top layer is just several strips of white and pink tule and different eyelet laces

the best part is since it was 100 % totally free she can where it for fun as an everday play skirt withoput having to worry about damaging it and upsetting her mothers wallet he he

so let me know what you think and if you think a six year old will like it

thanx for looking

 That's cute! I would like to make something sort of like that for someone i know, and i was wondering how you made the waistband? Is it a knit material?

A 6-year old would love it...and so do I! It looks like so much fun; I wish I was 6 and could get away with wearing it everywhere.

I would find somewhere to where that until cousin returned...even if I am almost 39.

thankx everyone , ill totally get some pics of my little cuz wearing it, posted as soon as she get back . and in regards to the waist band yes its like a t shirt knit material i just doubled it twice to give it some durability and added a draw string just in case , because all the material dose make it a litle heavy and i didnt want it falling down if she was running around alot , have a great day everyone ans again thanx for all the good comments
