Craft_t_chic recieved my package!  YAY!! She said she liked what I sent. She's really busy getting ready to move etc. and I'm just so excited about what I sent that I want to show someone who'll appreciate it. Not that craft_t_chic doesn't!!  Roll Eyes  way to go kiwimonkey, now they think that she's a horrible person who doesn't appreciate what you sent her!  *hand to head*

so, would you guys forgive me if I toot my own horn a little and post pictures of what I sent craft_t_chic?

Post them! We would like to see, and craft_t_chic will probably appreciate having one less thing to do during her move!

okay, you twisted my arm!

TOOT TOOT! (<-- that's my horn tooting  Roll Eyes)

Alright, craft_t_chic and I did a random swap. I knew what I wanted to make her. I asked her to prom, but she already had a date. So, we had a summer fling! YAY!
Anyway, I made her a passel of hair pins.

Don't ya just love the paper they're own? Perfect for the theme of this swap Wink
close ups:

and my fav....

I also made some beaded hair clips with seed beads, but I stupidly didn't take any good pictures of those. What was I thinkin? Huh
But, luckily for us, they were on the edge of another picture.  so here they are in their blurry jumbled state. Smiley

There's a large multicolored flower on a snappy clip, a smaller aqua flower on a snappy clip, and an even smaller red flower on a snappy clip.  And a heart on a bobby-pin.

then, the main event....

A wonder woman purse!! YAY! I received one from Jasfitz in one of the ongoing wish swaps, and craft_t_chic was green envy.  So I volunteered to make one for her.  This one is inspired from the one Jas sent me and from a purse on craft_t_chic's wist in the same shape as this one. I'm actually really proud of this one.  It's one of my best I think.  The red is a heavy canvas that was easy to work with. The blue stripe is a piece of ribbon. And I embroidered the wonderwoman logo with metallic gold DMC floss. Because of various reasons the logo didn't turn-out exactly like I wanted, but I actually really like the way it did come out.The cut-out handles were a little difficult, but I think they came out good. It's got a large lined zip pocket on the inside. The purse it self is fully lined with this fabric that I love but was a pain to get.

And just because I like it, I leave you with this picture...

That's a fantastic purse, and the lining is just so perfect! Awesome!

As you sew, so shall you rip. Don't fear the ripper.

thanks stifflersmom! That means a lot coming from you!  Yeah I had the lining fabric in mind from the beginning.  I remembered seeing it(or something like it) somewhere. So when I went to get my supplies I didn't think it's be a problem.  Boy was I wrong!! I went to every fabric store in town, including both wal*marts looking for it, but I couldn't find ANYTHING!  So I went on-line looking.  The only thing I found was $12.79 a yard!! Shocked and that wasn't even really what I'd had in mind.  So then, ebay was my next stop.  And I found it... YAY!  Only the auction wasn't ending for another week.  I contacted to seller to see if she'd just sell me the fabric straight out, and she turned me down.   Roll Eyes  so I had to wait a week for the auction to end.  Then it took FOREVER for her to ship it and it get here.   Seriously, I probably spent 2 1/2 to 3 weeks trying to get that fabric!!  But I think it was worth it!  Cheesy

With all my excitement for showing yesterday the pics of the amazing things that Bobolink sent me, I did not even have a look to the other pictures but now I did and wow, again so many great things!

jane feebles -- The bad monkey you made is just amazing!  Shocked I love, love, love it! so many details! WOW
alwaysinmyroom - all the things you sent koi are great. I love that skirt!! and the box and bag are so beautiful too!
simplyfussfree -- I love the stenciled shirts and necklace you made, especially the octopus shirt is awesome!
redpopsicles -- The shirts you made are great too, specially the reading is sexy one, I love it!
A-Patchwork Orange - Those placemats are to die for! and the apron!!! and all the beautiful buttons! wow
kiwimonkey - all the hairpins! how beautiful is that? and the wonder woman purse is perfect with that fabric! it was well worth the wait for it!

So after giving all my comments in one post, I will save space and une the same post for showing the pics of the things I sent Bobollink. A few pics are very bad because the batteries of the digicam were almost dead, but here they are:

She wanted a journal, so I made this one in A4 size (almost letter size) with a painted wooden cover. We all know Bobolink's love for birds, so this was my main theme. The pages were printed with birds and nature images too  Smiley

A needlefelted bird

Notecards set, with bird design  Smiley

3 necklaces: a birds necklace, a gnome necklace and a toy tree necklace

and a lanyard that I could not photograph anymore because the digicam battery died

and just a quick update about the great things I got from Bobolink: my daughter is like crazy in LOVE with her mouse!  She is playing all the time and does not go anywhere without the mouse  Cheesy yesterday the mouse visited already many places. And she wanted to have the bookmark too!  Cheesy  I told her that it was mine but she wanted it. I needed to play a mouse voice and using her new mouse I needed to tell her that the bookmark  belongs to mami, only then when the mouse told her, she stoped asking for it  Cheesy
