Julie...I cannot decide on a color either.  My instincts say black, but a pretty blue or purple or maybe even green like in the photo might be nice too.

Love, love, love the avacado, but I do NOT need yet another green sweat.  Husband is gunning for a "robin egg blue".  I also like the new firecracker color...

I figured I should actually post a progress pic!!!

I've been whizzing through this. Back and fronts done, hood half done... I'm SO loving this pattern. Nice and easy for TV watching/lazing around. I just hope I can block it to be as wide as I want it to be (since my yarn is a little thinner than the recommended yarn)!!!!

Green and yummy.

Looks great! Here's my sleeve that I finished today. I ran out of yarn the other day  Sad, but I got some more to finish! I started the other sleeve today but I needed a break!

westcoastchica I LOOOOVE that color! It looks fantastic.

I'm still only on my second cable repeat, on the back, which is the first piece I started... I got past the ribbing and then, doing the next row and placing markers, noticed that my stitch count was off. By 12. Yeah. So casting on during Project Runway--not such a great idea after all. I frogged it and only just got the courage to start again.

Hood's done! WHEEEEEEE! I did a 3-needle bind-off instead of binding off the whole top edge and then seaming; I'm all about reducing the amount of work I actually need to do. Some may call it laziness, I call it efficiency! Plus I find that I get a smaller ridge on the wrong side with a 3-needle BO than with a seam. I guess I'll have to pick up the stitches for the front/hood border all at the same time on one very long circ instead of doing the two sides separately like it says in the instructions.

I also did 4 inches of the ribbing on the sleeves this morning (both at the same time...)  Grin I can't wait to have 'er done!

I'm now trying to decide what to do for a closure. No zippers because I can never get them to lie quite right. And I hate sewing them in.  I don't really want buttons, so I'm thinking perhaps some toggles down the front. Any other suggestions? I suppose I could just leave it open as the pattern says, but I rather like being able to *close* cardis in the front when I get chilly!

I was thinking about this too--I had planned on i-cord ties, either at the neck or more likely the waist, with pom-poms on the ends. But toggles are a good idea too. More labor intensive, but more secure and warmer.
