I've had this fabric for so long and I had no idea what to do with it. the big flowers were over-whelming, so i thought I would do only half a shirt. this is what I got, a crop wrap. hope you like it..despite the big ugly pattern

ahh, lovely pictures of my self..headless, of course.

tell me what you think Grin

I like this a lot, especially with the grey cotton-y fabric. Nice contrast of fabrics.
The wrap is very elegant!

Cheesy I think you did an excellent job!! Actually, I quite like the flowers! I think you could have got away with a longer top or wrap dress

I think the flowers are just the right size for this top. It's lovely. A way I test for pattern size is compare it to the smallest piece of pattern that I will be using. If the print or flower is so large that the smallest pattern piece can't show the actual flower or print then it's too big for what I want to make. In other words if you can't see the whole flower or design then it's not suitable. Does this make any sense at all? I think I just confused myself here!  Cheesy
One time a lady wanted me to make some flower girl dresses out of this incredibly beatuiful hibiscus flowers. It was goreous but the pattern pieces were so small that you could never see the whole flower on the dresses. So she found another smaller print that worked for the little dresses and kept the big flowers for the adults in the wedding. On thier dresses you could see the whole flower and they were beautiful dresses.
Your top is lovely though!

thanks so much. The flowers aren't that big I guess, I'm just not use to making a statement with my clothing. I'm usually very conservative, but I'm getting better lately.
