I have an extra knit stitch dictionary I'll send you. I'll also send you jewelry with one of your themes, do you wear earrings?
This is my first claim

I'm in somewhat chilly, northern California
- Anything from my wists- apparently I love bandwagons  http://www.wists.com/Bobolink
(a pleated clutch and the squid journal and the bird shirt are already being made for me- aren't I lucky!)
- Something you crafted with the theme of one of these two animals which are in my life making me super happy right now. Sea otters, which I keep seeing now that I live in Santa Cruz or California quail, a pair just started coming to my feeder which makes me SO HAPPY.
- Something to help me feed the birds, squirrels. I already have feeders, so I probably don't really need anything, but this is giving me so much pleasure right now so something to add to it would be fab.
- So I got a swap journal from Dontlookback which I ADORE, but I would also love a swap organizer journal. I can let you know what categories I'd like in it.
- T-shirt with a stencil, screen-print or embroidery with a knitting, squid/jellyfish/octopus, bird or forest animal theme.
- how to screen print kit (serious long shot I know)/ or detailed stenciling kit
- a resin bracelet- or a how to resin kit
-shopping cats embroidery.. see my wist
- needle felting kit
- a forest friends themed painting or drawing- that you made
- a mini shrine
-something with a crow stencil.. I like one where the crow is singing a heart (this is sort of targeted at knottiedotty  )
- A hoody (fitted with zipper) with any of my likes
- This is also a hard one, but I love me those meat soaps!
- Something needle felted. I love that technique! I ADORE the two by radal16 i hvae in my wists
-Any Jean Greenhowe pattern books- other than Bazaar knits.

About me: 28  year old grad student who spends way too much time on craftster at my desk, instead of where I should be- at my bench doing experiments. I love all animals and animal motifs. Owls and all birds, forest animals, cats etc.. Nature stuff and city artsy stuff too. I love all colors, but probably bright ones over pastels, but earthy ones are great too especially for a nature theme. I also prefer off colors to primaries- ie turquiose over navy blue. I love any old, vintage, retro and mod looking stuff and patterns- but I really like modern stuff too. I love old vintagy stuff like adds ie- fruit crate labels and pin ups. I love when prissy crafts are mixes with racy stuff ie an embroidered pin up- I think that really represents what us awesome craftsters are up to. I also love food stuff, sushi, meat, sweet stuff etc.. probably cause I love food! And I love japanese and mexicana stuff.

Sorry I've been absent! Can't wait to chill with you all again Smiley

I'm claiming Bobolink for Forest Friends Artwork. (forgot to put: This is my first claim XD )

1. anything glow in the dark: paint, beads, lace, ric-rac, crayons, buttons you name it
2. Lace. I love lace, and have an unhealthy obsession with it.
3. Buttons.. any type.. just so long as they're neat and not run of the mill.
Thanks craftydeb!
4. Mohair or hand spun wool in solid colours for doll hair
5. Any soda labels you may happen to have (Jones Soda preferred)
6. Old playing cards (the more worn the better)
7. Circular knitting needles.

Crafted Stuff:
1. I would love a round necked sweater. PM for measurements ;]. I like almost any colour.
2. a T-shirt or badge or pinback button or hoodie (in white on black, or black on red) with any of the following on it:
"I'm taking my skeleton for a walk."
"My cult is recruiting too."
"I draw a lot."
"Feel through the form."
"I'm pushing jello up a hill."
The Venus de Willendorf  http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/5263/venusofw9eu.jpg
"No" Symbol http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/9210/no0fg.jpg
Hexadecimal Icon (from Reboot) http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5716/hex4wr.jpg
Cutesy Skull (like here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34774662/ )
a Skull
the crafty pirate with sewing needles (hint hint Leah you should offer this in the store ;] )
a Heart (or hearts)
a Sun
a Rose (or roses)
sock puppet(s)

3. I have a ton of sketchbooks that all look exactly the same. If anyone's brave and wants to try sewing (or knitting or crocheting) a cover or two that would be awesome. I like almost any pattern, especially plaid, paisley, bold stripes (tim burton-esque), polka-dots and checkers. PM me for dimensions ;]

4. I would love an altoid tin modification to carry around my loose drawing pastels in. (would have to be dark coloured on the inside ;] )

5. Any girlscout, or girlscout like embroidered badges. I enjoy having odd things to sew onto my backpack.

6. Pillow cases. I have an unhealthy thing for pillows. Alternately stuffies that are cuddle sized would be grand.

7. A useful type of surprise derived from post-stalking or other such means.

1. Any books, cue cards, playing cards, flash cards, charts, magazines, etc.. on anatomy you may have an not be using. I've been told that my course on it for next year is gonna be really heavy and want to get a bit of a head start.

I'm 20 living in Toronto. I'm a fine art student turned animation student currently very excited about moving to a new place (across the hallway XD) in september, and the second year of my program in college. I spend a lot of my time drawing and crafting, (and watching cartoons and playing video games) and reading wierd sci-fi novels I picked up for a buck at the used book store. I hope to one day work in character design at Dreamworks, disney, pixar, or even Blue Sky. I'm in love with Dreamworks character design, and Pixar storytelling. (but Bud Lucky is one of my favourite character designers) I also really love jim henson stuff (Brats of the Lost Nebula, the Dark Crystal), and anything directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Star Wars Clone Wars, Powerpuff Girls), or Tim Burton. I really like German Expressionism Films too. I really like Ursula LeGuin. My favourite artists are Susan Boulet, Cicely Mary Barker, Tim Burton, Tom Cross, Brian Fraud, Josephine Wall, Roman Dirge, Edgar Degas, Christopher Shy, Weegee, and Amy Brown.  Favourite colours are Black, White and Red (my clothing colour scheme), or Bubblegum Pink, Violet and Dark Green (my hair colour scheme), or rainbows (my artwork colour scheme) however, I'm not limoited to those colours. I like the way colours interact with each other.. how they make things move in space and change depending on what's next to them. I also feel really bad if people spend a lot of money on me.

« Reply #13 on: July 01, 2006 03:17:02 PM »

I am going to claim Teddybearbones for some crafty supplies - rickrack, cards and whatnot.
This is my first claim for the swap..

Hi!  Im Deb.  I am a crochet designer and stay at home mom of 2 little boys my oldest starts Kindergarten in August.  He is getting soooo big!  I live in Huntsville, AL we moved here last September.  It is really really hot here.  That is all I can say right now.  I fear the day our ac ever kicks it!  I thought it would be difficult for me to come up with a list of at least 6 things.. but now that I got going I am finding out that there is more out there that I would love to have!

Here is my wish list

Anything off of my wists..
    1.  www.wists.com/craftydeb

    2.   a pair of overnight duffles/bags, whatever for my boys for when they go to grandmas. One loves dinosaurs and the other loves trains and spaceships.  They have to be really machine washable my inlaws house is very musty so I wash everything before I let it into the house!  They like realistic things, not cartoony.

     3.   Dog stuff I have a few things on my wists list.. I just got a little poodle!   But we are starting out completely fresh so I would love beds, toys.. a dental hygene kit for him... all sorts of things.  His name is Buster registered name Nothin but Buster (long story) and he is a  large toy poodle - or he will be that is. He will be 10 pounds about when he is fully grown (a far shrink from my last greyhounds!)  Please no rawhides - they are undigestable!

4.   handmade wood crochet hooks.  I have oodles of hooks but none handmade.  I think it would be cool to have some wooden ones.  I dont have anything but the regular stuff. I  have a friend that swears by bamboo. Dont ask me though. I got the cheap stuff!

5   Fabric Dinosaur and spaceship or train pillows machine washable please!

6.   a wood burning kit.  I would like to learn to do wood burning.  I loved it as a kid and I would love to do it again!  I would love you forever if this was sent.. okay I admit I have absolutely no idea how much one of these cost so if it is expensive, tell me I am on crack and I will put it on my Christmas list - got a dog for my birthday so I don't think there will be much in wrapping paper this month.

7..   a toy box for my new puppy he is small - will only be 11 tall at best.. so it has to be a bit low to the ground.  But I would like for him to keep his loot in one place!  Hey, training starts right away or else you might as well just give up, right?

8.     2 oversized washable placemats for my kids to put on the table when they are coloring/using markers.  Something I can wipe down with a wet cloth. Maybe like 3x the size of a regular placemat?  I dont know.  They are messy.

9.   a removabale cover for a notebook for when I design.  I would love to have one that has pockets for a small pair of scissors or maybe have one of those yarn pendants attached to it?  I am always loosing my scissors and also a pocket for a tape measure and a pen and a few spots for hooks like 3 hook spots?  I work mostly work with regular sized hooks but sometimes need to use the bigguns like the ns and ps and whatnot.  I use the half sheet sized spiral notebooks for doing all my design work.  It would be cool to have something that held everything I needed.  A small hook case would be great too one that holds a few hooks and a tape measure, a pen and scissors.  Doesnt need to be zipped.  Surprise me.

10.   Surprise me.  Lucky #13.  Just surprise me.  Stalk me.  I am a pretty  easy person.  I crochet .. I machine knit .. so those things I can do myself.  I love to be amazed!

I promise I will add some more loot as soon as I have time to scour the net.  I hope I don't hold up the swap with my short list..

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!
