I recently made this dress from a Simplicity pattern (5246) for my sister's wedding.  I was her maid of honor and I was certainly happy to step up to the challenge.  It was nerve racking to cut out that satin, though!  It terrified me to think that I could totally mess it up and have to buy more . . .

Here's the one pic I have (excuse the towel, I took a shower to be clean for my "fitting," but didn't want my hair to drip on the dress!):

Beautiful dress! I'm sure your sister was proud! I wish I could sew like that - and have the nerve to cut that satin! I cringe thinking about it! Congratulations on an amazing dress - in all ways - fit, color, fabric
