I was kind of excited to findout about a new craft book from one of my teen magazines. I thought it would be cool, so I kept looking in book stores to see it they had it. But when I discovered it, I was disappointed. Nothing all that new to someone that looks on craftster daily. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen Alterna Crafts or even has it. I must admit it's cute and all, but I can just as easily get similar/the same crafts here!!

I haven't heard of this book - what store did you see it at?

I finally saw it in Chapters, but I think it's been out for a while so any store with a crafts section may have it.

I glanced at it, and it seemed like a decent book.  What didn't you like about it?

It's not that I didn't like it, it's just I was hoping that it would have some new ideas I hadn't seen before.

I just bought the book today. And you're correct, there's not too, too much different in the book than you'd find on Craftster. But Craftster is an awesome group project.  Smiley Could anything out cool this site? I doubt it. This website covers so much it'd be difficult to find a book that covered crafts not already posted here (in one way or another).

I love Alterna Crafts. I already made the Pirate T shirt. Which I phreakin' adore!!!

Now I can wear my hideous powder blue (it was a gift) T shirt!

I have looked through the book inside Barns and Nobles a few times. I want it only for two of the Ideas. The sweater into hat and the little cardholder thing towards the end of the book, the one with the Japanese candy wrappers.
