Hooray I finished! I feel like a real hooker now. I think I can finally quit saying I'm a knitter who is trying to learn to crochet. Now I feel I can proudly say I go both ways. This was a challenge, but once I got going it was no problem. And for anyone bi-yarn crafty and interested the tank pattern is a free knitting pattern that can be found here.

We've got a knit a long going too.

Oh yeah, I used brown sheep's cotton fleece in plum patina.

That looks awesome with the matching tank!  It's a great little set.  I'd love to make both, but I'm not sure my newly acquired knitting skills are up to it yet...

There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality.  There is the one that lives only to lay waste to the woodwinds and strings, leaving them lying blue and lifeless along the swath of destruction that is the trumpeter's fury.  And then there's the dark side.

Thank you both.  Grin

TurtleGrrrl- As soon as your ready for a slightly more challenging pattern I say have at the tank. An advanced beginner should be able to tackle it. It's pretty straight forward. If you decide to try it, join the knit a long- lots of helpful folks over there. Or feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to help.

Beautiful, and with the tank it makes a fantastic set!  I may have to put this pair on my list of projects (which is way too long to even fathom at the moment  Tongue)

ROFL! That's a great way of saying it.
I ordered both Happy Hooker and Stitch 'n Bitch because I can crochet a tiny bit and want to learn to do it a lot, and I also want to learn to knit a little bit. So I'm totally going for the bi-yarn craftiness too LOL

Oh man - great job!  That looks awesome on you!  I'm thinking about hooking this one too, as soon as I can find some spare time.  (Hmmm...get off the computer?)  I have BSCF in yellow, mellon, and pink - 2 skeins each color.  How many skeins did it take you?

I swing both ways too Wink since that's how I watched my grannies do it.  One of them did tatting & quilting as well.  Knitting & crochet really enhance each other - I especially like the looks of frilly crochet edging on plain knitted pieces.
