so, my second shirt! my best friend's birthday was last week and for MY birthday 2 mons ago, she bought me a CD by a band (the receiving end of sirens) that she thought i would like. i LOVE them now and so does she. i thought i'd get her a band t-shirt, but the band's site had lame merchandise. having been recently enthralled with craftster, i thought "why not make my own shirt?!!!" **now with embedded pictures!**

this is the front of the shirt. i scanned some album art images and put them together. then i used the super cheap michael's iron on transfer paper to put it on the shirt.

and the back. this was stencilled with some glittery gold fabric paint and the freezer paper stencil method. it worked great! a *little* bleeding, but nothing really noticable to anyone by obsessive compulsive me.

and some details of both front and back.

close up of the text on the back. i really like how the detail on the font came out. i didn't think it would!

close up of the album art i pieced together and put in the middle of the shirt.

close up of the artwork on the lower left corner complete with a line from her favorite song.

last but not least, i made my own tag for the shirt with care instructions and the date. yay! (the digital camera doesn't understand how to focus sometimes...)

i'm so pleased with this. too bad it's so small or i might have kept it for myself... Cheesy

you can buy transfers for "light colored" and "dark colored" shirts. it states which is which on the packaging. i'm not sure the exact difference, but obviously i bought a for-dark-shirts-only one when i set out to make this shirt.
