Ok, so I thought I could follow crochet patterns now, but clearly I can't...

What do they mean? I'm making the Baby Cowboy Booties and can't for the life of me get past this one sentence! Has anyone else made them or understands what they mean??

This is what it says:
Round 5: Working on heel of sole, center 13 sts. Working in front loops of rnd 3, join with sl st in first of 13 centered sts....

Please someone enlighten me before I go crazy  Huh

It sounds to me that this section of the pattern is going to make a heel on the boot.

On the piece you've made locate round 3 - should be 13 stitches. Then attach your yarn to one of these stitches with a slip stitch in the front loop.

Working in the front loops will mean that you will begin working down from the piece you already have to form a little heel.
