i'm jumping on the "you are a goddess" bandwagon!!!

one question: did you pixel the painting to know where the beads should go, or are you just that talented to free hand it?

Thank you so much... you are guys are realllly stroking the good old ego!! Smiley  LOL, I wouldn't say I'm just that talented - not at all!  But, yeah, I just freehanded it.  It took just over an hour to set the beads.

I love it, its gorgous. You are a melting bead addict now aren't you. May i ask why/how you have SOOOOOOO many pony beads? Wink

Please post the coasters, I would love to see them. I don't own pony beads but I think I'm going to take a trip to the craft store.

How will you mount it?

Yes, but at least I admit that I have a problem... Smiley  Melting one only spawns others.  It's such an easy project, it can't be helped!

I have a TON of beads from when my gramma passed away a few years ago.  I went through a period when I didn't want to use them because they were hers & part of a craft room I used to romp around in when I was wee little.  Then I went through a period I used them A LOT, finally they got narrowed down to the fugly pony beads & not so exciting stuff.  But alas - I've found new uses for them!  Smiley

I went to the store the other night & got some faceted & glow in the dark ones to add to the collection.  Smiley

Not sure how I'm going to mount it... gotta ask the boy where he wants it - window or wall.. Smiley  I had left quarter-sized gaps in the upper corners, but they all but totally melted closed.  So, gonna drill 'em out a bit...if it's window, the classic suction cup concept...if it's wall, depending on the room (wall color) I'll use one or two...chains or ribbons.

This kills me!  It's great!  It's like a perler bead creation, but more resourceful (way to use old beads that'd sit in a drawer otherwise!) and less "geometric."  I love how the faceted beads give a stained-glass effect.  Hooray for you!
