I was thinking..

I live in Astoria, Queens and there are a few spots I love in the garment district (work close by)  but none of my friends sew.. so Im thinking.. maybe some of us could get together one weekend while its warm and hit a few blocks and a few shops- sort of like a pub crawl but fabric stores.

Then maybe do coffee/brunch-maybe even Bubbys or somewhere yummy and discuss our sewing endeavors and experiences- anyone down?

We can create a map and time slots and go fabric store hopping!

I'd be down for that.  Probably not until after the 4th as I am trying to save money for my trip to L.A. but I think that would be alot of fun.  As we all know, you can never have too much fabric!  I haven't really investigated the fabric shops yet, I'm kind of scared of how much I'll spend.

I'd be interested, but it takes me forever to pick out fabric.  If you guys are down for long fabric sessions, let me know & I'll be there!

Candyskulls, are there any good fabric places in Brooklyn that you know of?
