I just finished the long sleeved blouse from 4112 - def. go with the smaller size if you're inbetween. I wouldn't go a size smaller than your sizing recommends though, cause the buttons will pull with movement.

Can't wait to see everyone else's versions!

(posted this in another thread in the sewing pattern review board - will take it off it that's a faux pas)

I just finished 4111 & *I LOVE IT*!

I had this black fabric in my stash, so that's why I used it - but now I'm going to make more! The pattern was really easy & It took me about 1 1/2 hours to sew the whole thing. I cannot tell you how great this fit is for the curvier girl - I'm *so* glad this pattern comes all the way up to 20. I bought the other blouse pattern & the jacket pattern - I'm excited to sew them!

Ah, even though I haven't been sewing for very long, this has happened many times already: I pass over a pattern when I look it at quickly online or even in the store, but then I see a craftster put up their version and fall in love! Such is it with these Built By Wendy patterns! I think I'm going to run out soon and see if I can get those other three, since I also just found out (from someone's blog, just stumbled on it) that the 3 Simplicity patterns included in the book that's coming out in a month are 3 new patterns.

August 25th through August 27th simplicity patterns will be 5 for $5 at JoAnn's.

I made the button-up blouse. I can't figure out how to take a good photo of myself in it... but I love it!

However, I used the buttonhole guide that came with the pattern. If I were to do it all over again I'd follow my gut and place the 3rd button down at the stress point for my boobs, then place the rest of the buttonholes in relation to that... my blouse is a little gapey right where it counts.

anyone know how the sizes in the book patterns are going to work... I'd hate to buy the book and have the patterns all be too small

yes please! I'd love to swap ATC's with you.

Hey just FYI! It looks like there may be 2 more BBW patterns coming. There is a new shirt and coat pattern on her website, but not yet on the Simplicity page.

I'm working on a variation of the shirt from the Sew U book right now. I can't wait until its done!

I like the new patterns.  I think the fabric choices/colors are poor but I love to see the customizing that people do.  the dress has posibilities, that front yoke detail could be made smaller...
