i think it would be cool if there could be a button below a users picture (like the IM and profile buttons) where you could view posts of completed projects.  i like to see what other people have done when they reply to my posts but when they have posted a lot of replies i general don't like to see those so much as their completed projects.

does that sound like a good idea or even possible?

By going through someone's profile, you can see all of their posts. Are you talking about just being able to see their posts with pictures? Or maybe it could be a button that has alll of the posts started by that user. Interesting....more interesting than sorting through 42 pages of posts.

Yeah, I think that's what she means (only pix or completed projects), 'cause she mentioned not wanted to have to read all the replies as much.

yes, that's exactly what i mean.  i don't like to read the replies to other posts.  but it is nice to see what posts they are starting to get an idea about them.

If people could put rainbows in zoos they'd do it.

I don't know if this has already been suggested but.....
I was thinking a neat idea would be, not only having a list of the latest posts of a user,  but perhaps all the conversations/subjects they have started,
so you don't have to hunt through pages of of their replies to find the things they have actually made.
So if a user has made 3643906743275 posts, you can just look at the conversations they have started if you want to look at the things they have actually crafted.
What do you think?

oh, and another idea i had, was perhaps, not only a symobol alongside all the threads that says if you've posted in it or not,
but also says if you've already read it already or not?

This has been mentioned a few times actually, but here is one.  Smiley  I am going to merge this thread with that one.

If a thread has the "new" symbol next to the Subject line, you haven't read it or it has new posts since last you read it.

There's also our little cork guy.  Smiley  If you are on the very main page, you can see which boards you have read.

Here's a quick guide to what means what in regard to new posts, responses, etc.  Smiley

This is exactly what I wanted to suggest. We really need to have a way to look up the New Threads that someone has started. It would help a great deal with the Swap process (organizing and crafting for your partner).

It would also be great because if someone posts a project/craft that really blows you away - you could see what else they have done that might be just as (or even more) cool.

Yes, I agree on this. I also want to see what someone has made, to get an idea of that user, and usually I see only lots of comments to other's work and it's hard to finally find a completed project.
So something that would allow us seeing what conversations a user started would be very helpful.

There are some really good ideas in this thread that I will take into consideration. Smiley I've been thinking about some of the very same things.
