I totally agree with you....I'm in a rut myself and I just need to be inspired again.   Do you know how cute my little girl will look in it.

I think that dress is absolutely adorable!  The perfect project to get out of your rut!  What colors will you do it in?

It sort of reminds me of this dress by the way...   which I am DYING to find a pattern that I cand modify to be similar!  I don't think I am skilled enough yet though.  Smiley

Anyways, what's the smallest size this pattern comes in?  I didn't see sizes on the site.

Hi! Grin  The smallest size is 2.  Oh, you should do it!  I'm sure I don't have the skills for it, but I won't let that stop me.  Wink

I was going to try to be good and let it work from something in my stash -- I have some Phildar Onde in yellow/white or hot pnik/orange that i will look into.  but i just typed the words "the end" on my manuscript about an hour ago, and i'm feeling celebratory, so i may just take a peek at something new.

that posh baby dress is adorable -- i'm going to add it to my wists!

yay! for your manuscript being done!

LMK what yarn you pick.  We could do a little KAL!  Of course it will be ages before this baby can fit it, but I am more into knitting her bigger sizes since she'll be an August baby!

the julia dress is on sale here!  http://www.dandelionbaby.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16182&category_id=283
You can also see nice detail of the top there.  I think I'll do the jan dress and then brainstorm how to work a neckline like that.

oh heavens!  talk about impulse buying.  my seven year old insisted.

is there going to be a knit along?  i'm worried this one is just a tad bit over my fool head.  Grin

any advice about yarns?  must go see what my lys has that might work.

ooh, that julia dress is so tempting! i bet we can knit something like it... and i'm doing that wardrobe refashion pledge for 4 months, and my daughter is sort of a part of it.  we'll see if i can hold out and if i can sew as fast as she is growing Grin
yeah, let's have a mini knit along for jan! i haven't even looked at the pattern yet...i'll think about yarn this weekend.  i'll try to swatch my onde and see if it'll work.

I am thinking cascade sierra.  I will make it for a friend's 2 year old and then maybe use the contrasting colors to make one for the new baby.

Now which colors?  So many great combos to choose from!!  I like #8 & 10, 37 & 36, 6 & 5...  I'll have to see what they have at knitty city.  What do you guys think?

That wardrobe refashion pledge is great!  I don't think I could commit to it being pg and all.  Too many changes to keep up with.  Cheesy  Maybe in few months- that would be so fun.  Smiley

p.s. totally should not have mentioned wists!  Much better than all my bookmarks, but I could get lost for hours checking everyone elses stuff out!
