i guess it could be modified to be taller and hold necklaces, too  Cheesy

the finished product!

toilet paper rolls
duct tape roll
more duct tape (grey will do)
colored duct tape/scrapbook paper/origami paper/fabric/etc.

Step 1:  run out of duct tape and toilet paper

Step 2:  cut half-circles out from the duct tape roll exactly across from each other, large enough to fit a toilet paper roll halfway in (if you tend to be a perfectionist like me, you can use a compass [the kind you use in geometry] to make it almost exact)

Step 3:  tape toilet paper rolls to duct tape roll until a nuclear bomb couldn't get them apart (you might run out of tape again)

Step 4:  cover in colored duct tape/scrapbook paper/origami paper/fabric/etc. until all original tape and cardboard is no longer visible.

please post your results if you choose to make one!

haha!  That's really creative.

I'm thinking pvc pipe would work, as well and it would be sturdier.  Not sure what to use to make the base taller.

Ooo. I wonder if you could attach yours to the wall.

my friends just took some pipe and covered it in velvety stuff but didnt put a base on it so it was portable in their back packs..
i like the idea of the base tho so its lifted up

jenna rose,
the wall-mounting idea is a good one, but i doubt my mom would be open to the idea of me putting it on my wall Cheesy

i thought about making it taller, and realized all i'd need would be more duct tape rolls...tape them to the base of the first one, making it progressively taller.

it is really not much bigger than the tp rolls themselves, and very lightweight

thanks for the comments!
