Next week I'm having a craft session with a group of people who have suffered strokes, and many of them can only use one hand. (We will have assistants though.) The students are between 40 and 75 years old, I think, and the budget is limited. Supplies will have to be easy to find since I live in a small town in Sweden.

The crafts I'm most into are book binding, jewelry making, paper crafts, photography, sewing.

The teacher responsible for the group says they will probably like being able to take something home, like a painted / printed t-shirt or tote bag. I suggested making star fold books since they should be reasonably easy to make with one hand (and the help of assistants) and are very decorative.

Do you have any other ideas? I'm feeling slightly blocked, and also worry that just because I like a craft it doesn't mean that others will... (although that has happened before) Thanks in advance for any suggestions!  Kiss

rubber stamping might work, that can be one-handed if assistants help hold the paper still...you could make greeting cards, decorate a journal or even make paper calendars (tied with string).
