Okay, here's the tutorial! If it doesn't make sense, or something isn't clear, don't hesitate to ask me to clarify! I haven't made too many tutorials, and I'm not quite adept at it yet Smiley This hoodie is a differant style, but constructed the same way. It's brought to you the number 1999 and the backstreet boys!

What you'll need:
- A shirt to cut up, a few sizes larger than you preferably
- At least a 1 1/2 yards of knit fabric
- Scissors
- Thread
- Separating Zipper
- Patience!

Here's what I started with. A large t-shirt and some purple knit fabric (not pictured)

Cut off the sleeves of the tee you're using and excess fabric. Cut it so it's your size. DO NOT throw away your scraps just yet :DDD

You should be looking like this now. bsb poncho, word.

Pin it and sew it up so it's your size now

Sleeve time! I use an old sleeve from a tee as a guide and just free hand it.  If you're not comfortable enough to free hand it, you can use an old long sleeve from a tee as a guide to copy it fully. I also make my sleeves a few inches longer than my arm because I heart thumbholes in everything.  p.s. I just realized how much that sleeve looks like tightie whitie underwear, ew.

One sleeve

Two sleeves

Take the severed off sleeves from the original shirt and cut off some 2'' wide strips off them. Use those strips to make a binding along the skinny end of the new sleeve, like so.

Eat Dinner.

Sew up those sleeves along the edges and turn them inside out.

Sleeves are awesome!

Okay, this part may seem a little confusing. Turn the shirt inside out and tuck one of the sleeves inside of it so it's set up along with the arm opening. The sleeve should not be inside out. Pin it first to make sure you've got it, then sew. If there is extra space in the arm hole after you're done, just sew that up like you did when you resized it.

After doing that to both sleeves, you should have something like so.

Time to cut off that icky collar and make your own neckline. I made mine lower after this photo was taken because I didn't like where it was, but didn't take a photo. Sorry!

Cut a straight line down the center for your zipper. Don't feel bad about cutting through someone's face if you have a BSB shirt too, Brian was no one's favourite.

Zippers can be difficult if you haven't done them before. Fold over the fabric just a bit and sew over it along the zipper. Defiantly pin first.

After that, zip it up and lay it down. Measure the entire length of the neckline for your hood.

Personally, I like my hoods huge! Cut out 2 shapes like this. The 2 bottom parts should equal the length you just measured.

Take the scrap fabric from before and make a binding for each half of the hood like you did with the sleeves. Sew that up before you sew up the hood. The hood is then sewn up along the curved part Smiley

Unzip the hoodie and sew the hood to the neckline. It's easier than I'm explaining it, I promise!

Pockets are awesome, mirite? Cut out four shapes like this, for the pocket and the lining.

Place two of the 'L's on top of each other and sew them together, except leave a the top part open so you can turn it inside out.

Fold the unsewn part inside itself a bit so you can't see that it's not sewn. Pin the pocket down to where you want to go and sew! Do that for both pockets

Enjoy your new hoodie and remember that backstreet > nsync Tongue
