I've got other Book recommendations and photos here:

Can it be? My order from Yes Asia finally arrived.  It took about 3 weeks.  I suppose all these photos are the kind of things that should be in a Flickr account, but I don't have one of those.  Maybe I should post separately in each of the forums. Let me know if it's too pic heavy!

Here's what I got, (plus Tease also came from Amazon)

I want to do several of the projects in here.

Here is the Japanese one I've been coveting:

My mom has collected these for years.  Every design in this book is terrific ISBN452904100X:

Here is the embroidery book ISBN4529042049:

I must put some of these cute ants on some picnic napkins:
Look at this girly page:

Here is a felt stuffie book ISBN4529041174.
Sewing in 3d intimidates me, but look at these cute pouches:

I even picked up Amigurumi Vol4 ISBN4309280285:

These stacked toys are so cute:

Finally, I got a Hello Kitty book ISBN9621420571:

Nobody is interested in my awesome craft books.. Cry Oh well, I'll start crafting from them anyway.

What?  What do you mean "no one's interested"?  We're all over here seething with jealousy.  I've been waiting for my books from Amazon Japan for over a month!  And there you sit, with lovely crochet books, well ahead of everyone.  Oh, I covet your amigurumi, oh I do.

I'm interested!

Love them.  I want the one with the dinos and the little felt purses.

How did browse the craft book section?  I tried looking but couldn't find much unless I had a specific name of a book.

Happy crafting! Grin Cheesy Grin

I found it extremely difficult to find anything on YesAsia. But those prices kept me searching.   I would get a general idea of a book's title on Crafting Japanese and ebay and then try and do a search for it.  I found the potholders book by searching "heart warming life" which is the name of the series.

I also find things my using "amigurumi" "nuigurumi" and "Hello Kitty"  If I found something that I liked, on the bottom of the page they make book recommendations and I'd click on those.  YesAsia gives very little clues as to what is inthe books, so I'd look around again on ebay and other sites to make sure I was making a decent choice. Bookmark anything you like on YesAsia because you may never find it again!
Here is another book I've got.  I bought it on Ebay for about $25, it's only $16 at YesAsia ISBN4579110765 :
Here is a fab felt envelope project from this book:

Thanks for the advice.

I paid $22 with free slow shipping for this book on Ebay.  It is my first.

I am trying to teach myself to crochet so I can do Amigurumi.

Wish me luck!

I LOVE those books! Thanks for the tips on how to navigate their website; I wanted to get some  Japanese books on beadwork, and had a hard time finding anything last time I checked there.

The felt toys and little purses are really cute! Which book are the little felt clothes in? I have a niece to craft for who is just the right age for stuff like that.

How are they on the shipping costs?

Thanks for posting your new treasures here...so cute!!!

I agree with ConcreteJungler! I want those books!! I've been borrowing craft books through my library but they don't have many Japanese craft books. I want amigurumi patterns! Are the patterns read differently than American (English) ones? Need to check out YesAsia now.

The felt clothes came from this book:

Here's the YesAsia listing: http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-j/section-books/pid-1004120568/

Shipping was free!

Crochet is not very difficult, SewMuch4Kids, you can do it!
