Would anyone be interested in a "Phobia Swap"?  For instance, I really don't like big hairy spiders! Sad  If I were to get an envelope of 'spider' related crafts in the mail.....I may be cured Huh I don't know if it would work, but I like the idea of conquering the fear. anyone else? d

This is a spectacular idea. I may be too paranoid to tell others of my phobias, though.  Lips sealed

I love this idea! I'm so weird...I have these phobias but for some reason I love stuff about them, just not the actual thing, if that makes any sense. Like I'm scared to death of spiders but I like pics/art with them in it or different spider stuff...and I'm terrified of big storms but I watch storm stories obsessively and I'll watch outside my window the whole time it's going on and love anything storm related. LoL What can I say, I'm strange.

Anywhooo....awesome swap idea. This would be great!

I totally understand what you are saying. Smiley It's like trying not to watch the gory parts of a horror movie, peaking through your fingers as your hands cover your eyes! Smiley d

this is a cool idea. My main phobia/fear is.........*cough*zombies*cough*. Yes, Im a huge horror movie fiend, and love zombie movies most of all, but deep down in my heart, I know one day I'll have to fight against a massive horde of the living dead. *hides before anyone laughs at her phobia*

Oh, and Im also extremelyyyyyyyyyyyy claustrophobic, as in, I even freak out if my husband hugs me too long or too tight, and if a blanket or something goes over my head while Im lying down, I totally FLIP out.

I know, Im odd *sigh*

i LOVE this idea. unfortunately i probably can't participate, but its a great way to get your fears out in the open, and maybe realize the irrationality (if any) behind them

I was thinking too, how would one craft a fear of elevators? However, with some thought I'm sure I could come up with something.  Wink d

This sort of sounds like fun, especially for some of the more intangible phobias, like claustrophobia, triskaidekaphobia, etc.  Maybe they could be helpful things, like a miniature audience of people in their underwear to help with a fear of public speaking or protective anti-grasshopper gear Wink ?

(no, seriously, grasshoppers are evil...)
