I can't believe it!! I just made the exact same bag. My friend brought an orange juice bag back from Italy and I duplicated it with watermelon tang. My kid's really hated drinking it though.

This is awesome-- thanks Meb!  I've been seeing these around and wanted one.  Now I wonder-- where do you get those drink pouches?  Do we have them here in the States, in grocery stores?  Perhaps I've been living under a grocery store rock...

Yep, susank, they have them in the states! I want to make one so bad. I will have to talk my mom into buying me some Tang. I don't like it that much though!. I seen a girl at a grocery store and she had a Capri Sun purse. I might try that Undecided

::)I am making one with the new capri sun juice pouches, but I can't get the sticky part off where the straw was attached. Would Goof off melt the pouch?

???What size needle did you use? Was it a wedge needle? I have a Bernina, and don't want to hurt it... Roll Eyes

Hey! This is my first ever post! and i love the site! After checking it out and stuff i fell in love and had to start trying out some of the projects and join  Smiley
the tang purse is so great! i wish we could get it in England, if we can, does any one know where from!? hate the stuff but the packs are cool. but i ended up making myself a capri-sun purse, or i'd call it a bag but thats probably just because I'm English :S and it was fine. I just covered the whole thing in sticky back plastic so the little bits of sticky stuff that held the straw wasn't a problem. the handles i used were fropm a free bag i got with a magasine today but hated. it was really quick to make and no-one else i know has one at all like it thanks for the idea!!
the hardest part was trying to persuade my 12 year old brother that he wanted to drink all 10 pouches of capri- sun... Milly xx
oh, and i used our sewing machine which is pretty good and the needle was fine  Wink

I just finished my capri sun purse, but I don't have my sewing machine at school so I just made it with clear tape and duct tape.

You can get the sticky stuff off by rubbing it a little. I kind of rubbed it into one area and then scraped it off with my fingernail. Goof off or goo-gone might dull the finish of the bags.
