I turned a pair of old black combat boots from 9th grade and a pair of Italian silk goodwill ties ($1 each) into these amazing new paisley boots. I am very excited about them at the moment.

This is my first post on Craftster and probably my first ever legitimate creation of this kind.

The boots are deceptively simple, I just opened the ties up and ironed them, then cut patterns out to fit the boots and slowly superglued it on to each piece. The only tough part was trying to smoothly cover the curved toe, which is more or less impossible.

Also, the superglue seeped through in some spots where I used too much. This is them on my feet:

Hope you like them. If you really really do, say so and perhaps I will post a tutorial, because they're really easy. Seriously, $4 and as many hours.
