I've made up the dress but I think I've mucked up the gathers on the skirt - it seems a bit 'full' (i.e. unflattering) but that might be my hips underneath it, rather than the skirt itself...!
Or it could be the fact that it's cotton fabric, so it won't soften until i've washed it... It looks a bit like a mushroom at the moment - sort of like this:
I'm going to reserve judgement until i've finished the net underskirt, but if i really really hate it I might have to unpick it and see if I can do a less gathered skirt...
