I got my pin from Poppysmum!!! It is so fantastic!!!!!! I showed it off to everyone I could find just as soon as it arrived and I can't wait to wear it everywhere I go.

First, it arrived in a coffee grounds bag, which had very cool labeling on it. Inside was a tiny litle jewelry box with a japanese stamp of some sort on it- a little wood elf appears to be playing a flute! Inside was a piece of cloth tied with a bobble of silver. Unwrapping that, I found the most gloriously tiny brooch! The back of the base is about the same size as a US quarter. I've included a dime (around 17mm) in the photograph with the pin for size comparison.

Yay i received my package today!! I came in all tired after school (though its not THAT tiring; I'm sure some of you work WAYY harder) and there was a little parcel on the kitchen table!!!!! I jumped up and was all happy, and i ran around, and ran to my brother and i said "look!! look what I got!!!" and all he said was "uh huh cool" without looking up (he was playing WoW, thats understandable) so i ripped open the package and i found the coolest, most awesomest ornament EVER!!! to bad we won't be getting a Christmas tree until the 14 Sad but I will survive. Onward with the pics!
compared to a quarter, good and Canadian (i love u moosey!)
regular pic
close up
these pictures suck, since i was using a webcam. and there so small too cuz i don't know how to bring the KB down without resizing. Its made out of felt, and is sewn by hand, with a star of seed beads (one green, one white) and a star bead with 5 other beads surrounding it. Its so pretty!! I really really love it!! Thank you so much stella_escuro!! (sorry i wrote stella_escura before, I was thinking Spanish and ya it might even be incorrect in Spanish but w/e) oh and if u look close enough at the second pic, u can see my nail!! see how its green? there are candy canes painted on!! This ornament and my nails are the only things keeping me sane (possibly insane?) until Christmas!!!
Toodles!

PinkMafia received and asked me to post the pics of what I sent her, so here it is.

I made her a set of tiny 'Dia de Muertos' (Day of the dead) stationary. Here is the vinyl cover closed:

here it is open:

And here is the tiny stationary (it is approx. 4x5 in): tiny envelopes, tiny sugar calavera sheets, tiny note cards, calavera stickers and calavera buttons to match...

It was superfun to do and of course I am in for a next round!  Grin

Thumbelina posted a photo of my knitted dragonfly in the other thread. Thanks! I'm flattered you think it's worthy of your eggs. I'd love to see a photo of the egg you make with it.
Here's a couple more pics that show off the beaded legs.

I was struggling to make it uncute since Thumbelina says she hates cute- and cute is totally my thing.. hopefully it was uncute enough  Wink

Here are some pix of the way groovy clay n' tin monster box that Writer78 sent me:

Can you believe that she rolled out each an every one of his "hairs" individually from clay!!??  I love it to death and have it sitting on my desk where I can look at it - it's so dang cute!! Still haven't decided what to put in his belly yet.. maybe cool looking stamps that I pull off of stuff for future craftiness.

Super duper huge thanks to writer78 for being such an AWESOME craft diva, and for bringing be into the world of swaps!!! I love my monster!!

The picture hosting is working again so now I can show the pics of the wonderful coin purse I received from PinkMafia, I looooove it!

The material outside is felt in black all embellished with dots in vibrant colors, perfeclty matching the lining which is a cotton fabric with colored dots. PinkMafia did a fantastic job, this purse is so me, I love it!  Cheesy Thanks again PinkMafia!

So.. because of a communication mix up my original partner Pearliepie left the swap. When we realized it was just a mix up we decided to still swap- just unofficially and without deadlines. I just got her item last night and all I can say is that I think she was working on it this ENTIRE TIME. And by that I mean without eating or sleeping or anything!!
I don't have pictures yet, but as soon as I post those everyone will see what incredible trash I sent her in comparison.. so I figured I'd post what I sent her now.
She said she liked silly stuffies and also that her favorite animal was a rabbit.. so I made her a silly rabbit finger puppet!

I got a beautiful shrine from my amazing swap angel, amaryllisroze. I just love it. Here's the outside:

And here's a shot of the inside:

Of course it looks better in person. She paid so much attention to detail. It's so well done. I love the colors.

Thank you so much, amaryllisroze! You made my day!  Smiley
