ooo...I love the little shadow box tin and the lagoon creature!!! But not as much as my tin from cackle...get ready for a photo journey, lol.

I got home late on Monday from a trip north to a big box waiting for me. A much bigger box than I was expecting for a tiny tin. (My daughter is investigating.)

Inside, was a well-cushioned slightly smaller box:

Lovely decoration!

And the piece de resistance!!!

cackle combined my themes of nature and affirmations to create this beauty. I love the quote! And everything else about it!

Close up:

But wait!! Mr. Cackle's contributions haven't been revealed yet! The moon actually shines (lights up)!

Can you see it?!?

Here's a pic of the back to show the construction a bit:

And she sent me fiber extras!

Thank you so much, cackle. You are a wonder. Smiley

I received an awesome tin from racky. Flamingo theme!

It's fabulous, even has fake grass!! And I love the paper on the back. All the details are great, it makes me smile.

Plus some lovely extras, this dinky little tin with all these charms squeezed in. I particularly love the octopus one. And some great images to play with.

Not shown is a tool that Racky said is one of her favourite, a wax pencil. I'm looking forward to trying it out

Bonus pic, this is where the tin will live, along with all my small flamingo doodads. Some of you will recognise some of them

I'm first to post! Despite having to wing its way over the pond from Ireland, my package from edelC got here in record time! And lookie, here's the perfect tin for me. It states, "The secret ingredient is resentment and lots of wine". How true! Cheesy

I love the regal wine bottle and all the trims. And the pearly feet, with gears for the bases. Great idea!

Even the back is fun. Hello, ladies!

edel also gifted me with some vintage tins (too cool!) and some of her lovely handstamped fabric. Butterflies!!

Thank you so much, edel! My tin will hold a place of honor in my craft room.  Smiley

And I've received from faemystique!  She selected one of my fave themes - sewing Cheesy
Check it out!  So many tiny details.  A sewing machine made with buttons, beads, grommets, fabric, wood, etc.  And mini bolts of fabric in the corner.  Simply adorable!

During our chats, we discovered that we both love our cups of tea, so she sent some of her stash for me to sample Smiley

And random crafty bits and bobs from her craftroom...for inspiration, of course Grin

faemystique, thanks for being such an awesome swap partner!  I had fun getting to know you Smiley

Whew! It isn't as crudely done as I thought. It's sometimes a relief to have your memory play tricks on you. But I now know the lower limit of scale in which I can sculpt in Apoxy clay, and this tiny lady is right at the edge of it. My admiration for the artists who sculpt RPG figures has increased enormously!

But more importantly, I also received a great package from Killam Creative today! It was surprisingly heavy for its size. I found out when I opened it up:

It's made entirely of metal, glass and stone. Yes, those are actual rocks the tree is growing from!

I love the the rainbow colours of the beads, and the realistic way the wire forms the roots and trunk.

Even the back is lovely, with its traces of gilding along the edge like remembered splendour:

Thanks for this!

I love this so much it makes me want to swear... %$^#$%!

from sonjaboo:

I just started to play roller derby and it's my new obsession. I love it. She captured that perfectly with this tin. The glitter and glam is spot on! That is derby culture for sure.

But that tiny skate though! WTH? She said she had the skate in her stash just waiting for a project to come along. Well, dangit if this was not the craft fates stepping (rolling) in I don't know what is.

I can't wait to show my teammates.

Thank you so much!

Yay!  I have received the most fabulous butterfly tin from Wulf!  I love every bit of her, from her Believe crown down to her glittery, dotty, base.  From what Wulf said, this cheeky one took on her own personality as he was making the tin.  She reminds Wulf a little of a drag queen, so you KNOW I have to give her a fabulous DQ name now.  Im thinking something along the lines of Spread Yawings, but thats too clunky.  Ideas?  Swall OTail?

Thanks so much Wulf!  I love her so.  Did you make her from clay?  That is amazing.  She has a tiny dress with headdress on, too.

Oh! Oh, I also received a tree bookmark *and* the outer wrapper of the box was an old map.  Ill put that to good use, too!

I received a great tin from Abbeeroad today! The theme was Snarky Fairy Godmother and she nailed it!
So funny and well, snarky.  Grin
If I were a fairy godmother, I would be very snarky and I would definitely have a glass or two of wine or maybe something pink and fizzy.
I LOVE the stump work wings!
Also love the idea that she can hang up her wings and let her hair down.
And the tipped wine glass is a great detail.

Thank you Abbee!
