I've been working on some UFO's (unfinished objects) & finally completed the last of my Valentines.  It's actually the extra one I always try to make so I'll have it to keep as an example.

I bought a Whitman's Sampler box of chocolates for each of my daughters & Grands, removed the candies, & replaced them with a forever version of chocolate felties.  They're hand sewn, stuffed & decorated to look like real chocolates.  (Did you know that a candy maker can "read" the top of a piece of chocolate & know what's inside by the design on top?---Easier than squeezing them.)

I heard a couple of grumps because the candy was fake but all were appeased by the extra I added in the form of Valentine cash.

Gather the edge of the large oval & circle, tighten gathers & stitch to the smaller circle stuffing before sewing the opening closed.

Cut the corners of the large square & rectangle pieces as indicated.  Fold the corners,  stitch & trim to create a box. Sew to the smaller square, stuffing before sewing the opening closed.

Cut long narrow strips of felt, Put a line of white glue on the top of the candy piece in the desired squiggle.  Lay the felt strips along the glue line to create the squiggles.

Empty a Whitman's Sampler box & wipe the inside with a damp cloth.  Refill with your Forever Chocolates.
