I have an amazing package from jexxican to share! First, the package itself, beautifully decorated by a pair of small hands Wink:

Here's what first came out of the package:

A trio of lovely felted stones! I have been wanting to try embroidering on felted stones, but have never felted before. These are perfect to ease me into a new craft!

Inside the envelope was this Alice card (I love Alice!):

And, finally, the stinchies:

And, individually, so you can see the lovely felting and stitching on each one:

You are awesome, jexxican! Thank you for making my first swap so great! I will definitely be joining more in the future (and would be honored to have you as a partner).

Glad you like them, jexxican! They were fun to make. I don't know that my photos are any better than yours, but here are the ones I took (spring is not very focused!):

Oh, the gallery is already 6 pages long!  I'll go back and check out all the awesome in a minute, but right now I want to (finally!) post what Ludi sent me!

She made me the cutest chubbiest toad brooch ever!  And, it's stumpwork, so I can actually poke it's belly!   Cheesy

(I flipped my ring around so you all can see how much of a herptile person I am  Wink )

You can't even fully see all the colors of thread that were meticulously layered to create this!

Plus I got a bonus because she sent me one of artsycandice's block-printed cards (which smells wonderful and reminds of when I was still in school studying art.)  Lucky me, as I am a Lovecraft fan for sure!

And I took a picture of it next to my girl Petunia, well because I just had too!!  Petunia is at least 11 yrs old!

Thank you so much Ludi!
Now...how to get more needlework twinchies!!!???

Those birds are beautiful!

Received from dharma_rebel and she totally got me. Smiley Sending me two "stinchies".

In her card she said she sent along the birds in hopes I would find a use for them...When I took them out I laid them next to each other,  and thought they belonged together. So that is what I did.

They need some adjusting in the frame, but it is perfect! Look at her amazing tiny stitches in the apple tree.

Thank you dharma_rebel, and to kittykill for organizing the swap! Smiley

Yeah! I've received! The first photo is just slightly larger than real life, but I wanted to show more of the details, so I'm posting an enlarged close up, too. The necklace is longer than it appears in the shot. The leaves are actually a beautiful spring green and the beads appear more golden in reality, but the camera seems to have washed out the color. Tapestrymlp stitched the petals over a fine wire so they're shapeable and stand up from the surface.

I was so lucky to have Tapestrymlp for my partner! I know I'll be wearing this necklace often and am sure her work will receive a ton of compliments! Thank you so much!

Hang on to your needles, my twinchie from sheepBlue arrived today! It is a wee Irish square of perfection:

Those French knots are ridiculously tiny. I'd have gone blind.

Amazing. Thank you, sheepBlue, you're a gem!

Wow, abbee! looking at the super-micro-tiny stitches on that robot hurt my eyes a bit  Cheesy I'm amazed you got the wee heart to still look like a heart at that super small scale. I know mine would be an indistinguishable blob haha.

(In a slightly off-tangent thought: How many words can we come up with to describe "small"?  Grin)

Yay! Pottermouth, I'm glad you like it. I've so long admired stumpwork and figured this would be a fun time to give it a go.

I received from Pottermouth today!! And I feel like I should ask for my twinchie back so I can redo it to match her awesomeness!!

She said the background is done in a texture to mimic a more mineral/rocky type texture which I totally get!

And all the stitches on the beetle!!! I love the color combination, the threads are so tiny but blend together beautifully! I am just in awe.

Thank you so much Pottermouth. It is a tiny gem in my collection now.

So much great stuff, I'm intimidated. I received about a week ago from MDelilahCarlson (first time swapper I might add) and I'm even more intimidated! Look at these little boxes she made.

The actual stitcheries are magnets. Super cool! Not the best of pictures, sorry. These are way too great to go on the side of my fridge, they are now on the industrial shelving unit in my craft room. I'm sure they will be plenty helpful down there holding up patterns and whatnots. Isn't it great when you get something you never knew you needed so much? Now to get started on what I'm sending in return. Eep! So intimidated!

I don't think my photos are very good, but this is what the petit point pieces looked like before they were mounted into the reversible pendant case. They were stitched on 40 count silk gauze. Each piece graphed out to 28 x 28, so 784 stitches each plus the black outline stitches. And, no, I didn't use a magnifying glass nor did I go blind! Grin  I did use an OTT light though so I could see the holes for stitch placement.

Pottermouth, ask me about that in another zillion years or so.

So glad it brightened your week, goal achieved!  Knew you liked gardens, and the color purple, so that is what directed me. Hope your daughter is all better.  Smiley

Here is a picture I took to show the size:

Looks like I'm next in line to post some awesomeness! I received from arwenjade and it's amazing!! Check it out:

It's a realistic botanical rendition of a Mario fire flower!!! She based it off the red Gerbana Daisies she has in her yard.

I couldn't love it more! THANK YOU arwenjade!!
