So I received from happylittleclam today Smiley I got a wonderful package Smiley

Wonderful motivational daffodil picture

I love this SO much - but it is posing a quandry. While I was growing up I always bought mum her first bunch of daffodils of the year - it became a tradition. Since I've grown up and live about 4 hours drive from her - I haven't done. Then - this year I found a site online where I could send them through the post so sent her the first bunch again. It is very much a 'love you mum' thing. Therefore - this picture would be perfect for her (and we happen to be going up tomorrow!) BUT - I LOVE it! To keep or not to keep - that is the question!!!

I also got this painting - I fell in love with this quote when I saw it on somebodies pinterest - it just sums up how  I am trying to live my life now after years of being badly depressed. I cried when I saw this -I cant explain how much it means!

what is it painted onto - it's a fascinating texture!!!

Then I got some jewellery - a lovely necklace:

and these WONDERFUL earrings - These are so me! I nearly didnt photograph them as I put them in as soon as I got them - and only realised when I was uploading pics that they were missing - they are fox tails!

Some knitted washclothes - I only recently got my first home made washcloths - and I love them - I will only use / buy handmade from now on - so really glad to add these two to my collection Smiley

Last of the crafted things are these awesome little envelopes - they are SO cute!!!

They are only a couple of inches long by about 1 high - LOVE!!! Will be using them for swap notes I think!

Then onto the fillers - a beautiful sunflower button:

a dog coat sewing pattern - which I am going to use to make coats for my two dogs:

some very tasty and also healthy (wow such a thing DOES exist!) Fruit stick thingies!

I'm feeling what you mean about great food not being sold in your own country Sad

Lastly two lovely fat quarters!

thanks again happylittleclam - I really love everything you sent Smiley

I received from Watsonc7 over the weekend, but waited until she received too so I would be free to share the humor of what we sent one another. She sent fat quarters; I sent fat quarters. She sent ribbon; I sent ribbon. She sent lemon drops and Juicy Fruit gum; I sent lemon drops and Juicy Fruit gum. By that point I was rolling on the floor laughing, but it wasn't finished there. We both sent journals, notecards, tags, and embellishments. I sent a glitter pencil and glow-in-the-dark eraser; she sent a fish pencil sharpener. She sent an accordian-style  coupon holder; I sent an accordian-style index card holder. I was beginning to think that we were reading one another's minds.

Now for the ways our packages differed. Watsonc7 sent a foldable tote bag, a thermos, lip balm, a dog's tail hook, and an extendable back scratcher.

For the crafted items she made an adorable pouch with the prettiest lining. (A pouch was one of the things I didn't find enough time to make, but had already pulled all the fabric for.) Grin

The interior of the pouch. Aren't those butterflies wonderfully cheerful?

And a set of four placemats that are going to look great with my blue dishes and glassware!

Sorry for the photo-bombing, but this was such an awesome package! Even the box rocked. There was a large sun covering the top and part of the sides on the exterior. Then the flaps and interior sides were bright yellow duct tape. Definitely a ray of sunshine before I ever saw the contents.

My sunshine came! alteredmommy made me a box of sunshine that couldn't be more perfect for me. I tore off the packaging to reveal...

An orange polkadot DVD sized storage box packed to the brim with sunshine!

My daughter and I started pulling out one thing after another, laughing and oohing and ahhing.
There was this beautiful knit cowl. I wish I would have gotten a close up of the yarn, because it has these tiny sparkly sequins all over it. I wore it to school yesterday and got a ton of compliments.

There were these awesome orange and turquoise fabric coiled hot pads and an orange fabric coiled bowl. These are for my orange and turquoise Craftster kitchen. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and love being surrounded by stuff from swaps.

Here's a side view of the bowl with the cute buttons.

Extras included this fabulous yarn, displayed on the bottom of the storage box, where alteredmommy pasted this gorgeous paper.

And a craft load of other stuff!!! Paper straws, tea in a cool pyramid, lip balm disguised as a bear, a beeswax candle, soap, snacks, emergen-C, one of those cute little yarn dolls, and a lemonade scented marker! She also handed down a book on collage. We will have fun with that.

But, the one I've been saving for last is this amazing little sign that says "Every little thing is gonna be alright". I have these lyrics tattooed on my arm, and this is basically my  mantra.

thank you so much, alteredmommy for my box of sunshined!!!

I received a super box of Sunshine from my partner kbrison today and I'm still giddy over it.  I got super spoiled!

Here's a picture of all the handmade items, which I just realized was blurry so I'll post the mini shots too...

Here's a better look at a hoopla she made me for one of my uber fav songs "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin.  I almost wet myself when I saw it (hey, more yellow!), I snuggled it for a long time!  Then she also sent a mini sun notebook version, ohhhhh!  She could have stopped there and I would have been a happy woman....but nope, she wasn't done. I also got a sunflower pincushion.....

More handmade goodies:  sun magnet, sun stamp, post its holder, plant markers, ribbon bookmark, and oooohhh a gorgeous starfish doily

Pick up your jaws guys....not done yet
I also got: adorable pineapple magnets, magnetic ribbon bookmark, and a chevron mini notebook

Here is all the extra goodies.  The list is insanely long so to summarize, I got some tasty treats, spray bottle, tons of different sized notecards and paper, mini magnetic tins filled with supplies, sunflower plant pot, fat quarters, flower seeds, embellishments, cookie cutters and lots of other adorableness

I had such a fun time with this box, I enjoyed every bit and piece of it. Thank you so much kbrison, you made my day!

Check out this fantastic box o' sunshine I got from craftADDchick!!!

Here's all the crafty goodness together:

I got so totally spoiled! She sent me a beeAUtiful scarf, a fabric zipper pouch, an adorable crocheted octopus, a washer necklace, and a plethora of wonderful paper crafts, as well as some extra goodies!

The defrosty ice kit is hysterical. I can't wait to traumatize my younger cousins.

Here's all the paper crafts together - some lovely yellow inchies, and ATCs based on some of my past swap themes (unloved critters and local legends). And the cool washer necklace, and the paper doll which I LOVE. She says he's more curvaceous than he was supposed to be, but I love the victorian-esque mythological quality.
And this may be the only time I ever say this, but the tapeworm has the cutest face.

This fabric pouch is really adorable, with the most fantastic yellow fabric inside. My partner says she had a tough time with the bird, but I think he's wonderful! (There's another on the other side.)

I LOVE this scarf! craftADDchick claims it was her first woven scarf, but I find that really hard to believe! And the materials she used gave it a bit of tiger-stripeyness, which I think makes it even more beautiful. And it's super warm, which is what I'd like to be right about now.

And the octopus, I love him to pieces. Even if he doesn't like to share.

Thank you craftADDchick!!!!

I kind of took pictures in Quadrants as there was soooo much amazingness to behold!

Did you see that BERT HOOPLA! I think that's gotta be my favorite.
I love the note cards and envelopes too, oh and the little flower pendant necklace inside a Bee Pouch!!!
Pretty fabric, whimsies, hair pins and stickers...oh my was I spoiled.  Wink
Let us not overlook the FELTED SOAPS! I've never had one before and they look so pretty!

I know I'm forgetting something, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for this great package.

Hi everyone! I received from Texscrapper!

It's been really rough here in the northeast and Texscrapper's package was definitely a ray of sunshine.

The initial unveiling!

A beautiful cowl that I personally think looks like fire, and an adorable sunshiney yellow turban. It fits perfectly on my large head Texscrapper. Good idea to choose something stretchy.

A mug rug!

Love this detail!

Wee little owl stitch markers! I've been obsessed with owls recently, and Texscrapper did not know that so I think she might have read my mind.

And to round it all out, a HUGE citrus-themed tote with cute striped handles.

Thank you so much Texscrapper! The package you sent me was AH-MAZING! I am so jealous of your sewing skills.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Finally (sorry for the delay ChameleonHound!), I am posting a picture of my fabulous box of sunshine! It was sitting in the PO while I was on vacation (in the Sunshine State!), and I finally have a moment (and a charged camera battery) to post.

I had a picture of the box with everything all wrapped up in bright yellow tissue (and a piece of fabric) and ribbons, but it seems like I deleted it. But, let me just say, ChameleonHound is a master packer! The box was like a clown car- the items just kept spilling out Smiley

I took a bunch of pics because I couldn't get a great shot of all of it together...

First, a knit scarf that represents the layers of the earth and the atmosphere! We have:
Inner core: white/gray
Outer core: pale yellow
Lower mantle: yellow
Upper mantle: bright yellow
Lithosphere/Crust: brown
Biosphere: green
Troposhpere: Light teal
Stratosphere: Light blue
Mesosphere: Aqua
Thermosphere: Dark teal
Exosphere: Plum

I teach 6th grade science (Earth & Space) so that scarf, and the next item were right up my alley!

A strip of jersey knit fabric painted with a space/galaxy theme! I think I'm going to use this as a scarf, too!

Then, because I just LOVE frogs, I got a reusable sandwich bag and snack bag set (with cool leaf/acorn/maple seed/ladybug fabric and appliqued frogs!). And, a fabulous hand drawn mug (there's a sunflower on the opposite side).

I also got a fabulous hoopla (I think the hooplas have been my favorite item in this swap... I love them all!), and some soaps (wrapped in sunny yellow fabric).

I got some yarn, too! That bright yellow ball is an acrylic/mohair blend- it is so soft! There's also a cute little polymer clay frog (and another soap!).

And, to wrap things up, here are some wood shapes to craft with, orange zinger tea, lavender soap (I do love soap!), a key ring, Play-doh, orange jellies, a hummingbird, a candle (which I just noticed got cut out of the photo), and a beach in a box {paper beach balls, fish stickers, a paper umbrella, a butterfly}, and some maple candies!

Thank you so much ChameleonHound! Coming home to a box of sunshine was a fantastic way to end my vacation, and it made me feel a whole lot better about coming back to the cold and snow Smiley

Yes they are chocolate gold coins, we had some left from Christmas at the store where I work.

I received a spectacular package from Cherie.  Full of beautiful sunshiny things.  She wrapped everything up so nicely in yellow paper with lots of paper butterflies, it was wonderful to open.  There was a basket that she challenged me to decorate more, a little pincushion that will sit on my finger (such a great idea), a coin purse, a cuff, a little hanging, and the most beautiful stitch markers, and a really fun broach that I am going to pin to my winter coat to chase away the winter greys, and a beautifully packaged chocolate bar (and I hope I didn't forget anything).

Here you can see the plaque, I love the quilled (I don't think I spelled that right) flowers.

Here you can see the coin purse and cuff, both made from poptabs and so awesome.  I love them.

Thank you so much Cherie for being such a fantastic partner.

I received my box of sunshine from Ratfinkz!

First up, she sent me lemon scented soaps and jasmine scented candles. Both great scents, but that lemon is seriously yummy smelling!

Next up are the beads! I have never crafted with beads before, but I will be looking for a project to use these on soon. Those orange ones are awesome!

And here are my favs. A gorgeous beaded necklace with matching earrings. An adjustable wire wrapped beaded bracelet. The pictures don't do them justice, but the colors in these pieces are so pretty.

And last, she send some candies (there were also 3 Lindt chocolate bunnies...but my daughter snagged those the second the box opened and I figured no one cared to see three empty wrappers...lol), some play-doh (another item my daughter snagged), a wooden fishy, and two felt suns.

Everything you put into this package is beautiful and appreciated! Thank you for brightening my day, Sarah!!!
