I received a stuffed envelope full of neatly wrapped packages from Watsonc7.

Each item came with a tag detailing the creation and inspiration of the item. Plus, all this thread used as ribbon will be easy to reuse in more patches!

For the themes of Forest we have a small 'patch' of forest, in which all the leaves are French knots, in multiple shades of green. I think I need to take a close-up of all those knots so you can see how cool they are. The texture is amazing. On the right for the theme of Grave, is a grave with a silver skeleton charm wearing a tulle and ribbon dress, from the perspective of standing at the top of the foot of the grave. The fabric is a brown suede, manipulated to look like piles of dirt.
ETA close-up of French knots.

The backs. The Forest takes on an entirely different look from this side, a little abstract, a little wild forest. And I love this butterfly fabric on the back of the grave. Strangely fitting.

Another patch! This one she made just for the kitties so they wouldn't feel left out! Sweet of you Watsonc7.

And a full kit. There is floss, a skull applique ready to use, multiple fabrics and batting! I could grab a needle and take this bag with me to make a patch.

Thank you so much Watsonc7! I think you've done a great job, especially for your first swap. Welcome to the addiction!

I received from both of my lovely partners.  I'm in TM patch heaven over here.

First, from jkaywiz:

A fairy tale mushroom patch!  Fairy tales and mushrooms were two of my themes and this fits both.  I love it!

She also made me a groundhog patch!  I put groundhogs on my theme list never dreaming anyone would actually make a groundhog patch for me. I also had alphabet listed as a theme and she even worked that in!

(I'm not sure how I managed to post a mirror image of that patch but you get the idea)

And the kit, chock full of fun things:

Next up are the lovely things I got from sharalee.

She made me this beautiful black and white patch with a detachable flower pin!  This fit my "flower" theme perfectly.

And as unbelievable as it seems, sharalee also made me a groundhog patch!!!  I'm so happy to have not one, but two groundhog patches!

And of course another fun kit to make more patches!

Thank you so much ladies!  I love everything!

I received an ah-mazing package from WiseOne, today. She pretty much spoiled me rotten and sent me enough supplies to finish my purse!

She sent me a bunch of fabric for patch making, another bundle of 2-inch strips to make a purse strap, 8(!) patches for me to finish, and three awesome eco/nature-themed patches. She even sent me a flier for me to re-purpose because it looked like an image off of my pinterest! How thoughtful is she?!

I hope the pictures are OK. I've packed my camera already, so I've taken these pics with my phone.

Here's a group shot:

Here are pics of the finished patches:

Thank you SO much! I love my patches!!!

I received from Noodle-bug today and ooooohhh I am giddy!  She took my button theme and nailed it!
First, my favorite. I totally pushed on that button, I'm a rebel like that. The embroidery is really good, I need to practice my word embroidery for sure.

Next, I love this button patch, it's so simple and cute!  The buttons are so pretty and shiny and I love how she embroidered circles around each one.

Finally, Noodle-bug hooked me up with some really cute fabric (note the button fabric!) and a huge handful of awesome buttons.  Love love love my kit.

Thanks so much Noodle-bug, I truly loved my package!

I received my patches from the wonderful Noodle-bug.
I was so happy to receive this lovely button patch after jealously eyeing the one she sent to Watsonc7. Mine has more brown tones and I love its old look.

This long patch (that might make a lovely bracelet) has a shell from her holiday in The Netherlands. I will always think of that when I see it. I love the radiating stitches and the muted colors.

My kit contains three food themed fabrics that are unlike anything I own, so they will be fun to work with, and she included a fun variety of beads.

Thanks for being a great partner, Noodle- bug; your patches will be on their way tomorrow morning.

I recieved two gorgeous patches from watsonc7 today, waiting for me when I cam into work after a week off, so a perfect way to cheer up my return to reality

She did such an amazing job, I can't believe these are her first patches:
A 'Heroes' patch -

what a cool idea to use the logo as the letter S, and I love LOVE the broken clock!

A Pride & Prejudice patch -

the silhouettes are great, and where on earth did you find a P&P book charm??

and my kit is to make a cosmos or Wonders of the universe patch, some awesome fabric and really cute star charms.

Are we going to post in the gallery the patches we make with our kits?? I'd love to see what everyone does with them

Super excited and sad at the same time.....excited because I got some frickin awesome patches from Sarcastra, and sad because I won't be getting any more fun mail for awhile, booo.  It would be awesome if there were a monthly patch swap, they were so fun and easy to make!

Back to business.
Sarcastra made me an element patch that I'm freaking over.  Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.  So creative!  I love the circle shape and separation and the way a touch of color (I'm assuming markers) is smeared through the element embroidery....I just love it all, I totally sucked in my breath when I saw this

Next I got a really cool button patch for my button theme.  The fabric is really cool and I love how there are random buttons sewn on.  If you look really hard you can see tiny tiny black beads, it added a really cool texture.  This patch definitely had some time put into it!

Last, my patch kit.  Sarcastra totally spoiled me with not 2, but 5 pieces of fabric, packet of buttons, a packet of those awesome tiny beads, and 6 threads!  I was spoiled for sure.  I wish I would have thrown in extra fabric, it's the smallest thing to do but it makes such an impact to get little extras like that!

I had such a blast with my first swap, ill be stalking the boards for more TM patch swaps for sure.

Pioneer9 is camera-less, so she has asked I share photos of my patches to her.

For her theme of text and typewriters, just that - text and typewriters. I found a newspaper fabric, too, so these patches are text heavy!

The backs of the patches. I found a coordinating keyboard and number pad fabric for the back. You can't see them, but there are black stitches in the black areas for texture. For the Titanic text blurb, I pulled out a ship on the seas fabric. You can see the texture filler stitch well here.

And the patch kit. In addition to text, she had the themes of books and from her Pinterest I saw that she liked old-style camera print fabric and the bright, cartoony animals match her other favorites. I included some more micro-beads and some alphabet beads, too.

Hope everyone is having a great swap!
