I received an awesome package from cindibee!  She sent me a bunch of amazing stuff for my niece's dress up box.  I made one for her for her birthday in June, and for christmas I am collecting/making stuff to add to her collection.

So first off, she made this really awesome tutu:

I love the colors and the really cool printed tulle that is mixed in!  So so cute!!!

A fabric scrap/ribbon/trim boa:

There are so many different fabric and ribbons/trims in this!  She is gonna love wearing it!

A bunch of accessories:

She has a bunch of necklaces, two flower pins, and a snap on snake bracelet (which I quite enjoyed playing with).  ^_^

A felt crown:

Its so cute, and adjustable!  It totally will fit me!  I love the two colors she chose!  The hounds tooth felt is very classy!

She also sent me a felt piece of cake:

I'm totally keeping this at my house for her to play with when she is over.

And an  awesome fabric cuff (for me!):

It fits, perfectly, too!  I love the little owl peeking out!  I didn't get a picture of it, but the inside of the cuff is a really cool newsprint fabric.  Its very cool, and so comfy!

Its dress up time!

Thanks for the awesome package, cindibee!!!

I just received an amazing package from Bobbysgirl today!!

First of all, she sent some local food, which I can't really find here.   My mouth is totally watering for the collard greens right now....

Also, a huge amount of scrapbook paper!

Some fantastic ATCs (I have a large ATC collection.  I'm pretty much addicted....):

I love the holiday themes!  And I love that they are all painted!  (She said they are her first ATCs-- I think they're great!)

Then, a "Pinterest surprise:"

Not just one.....

but like a million of these adorable crocheted pumpkins!!  Love!!

And, lastly, I was saving this because it's my absolute favorite thing, a poppet!

It's the first poppet I've received, and at the moment I would say my own sewing skills are sub-par.  She's beautiful, especially the amazing painted eyes!

Also, another surprise... in her little bag are...

tiny things!! EEEEEE!  A mini crochet project (complete with a little hook), a die, a teeny apple, and (OHMYGOODNESS) tiny versions of the ATCs!!

WOW, Bobbysgirl, what a wonderful package!  Thank you so much-- you totally made my day, and I'm really excited for you to start swapping again!!

I received a BEAUTIFUL package from hazelly today~ Thank you so much!!!  Everything in the box is perfect and it is really obvious that a lot of time and consideration went into this on her part.  You really made my afternoon  Grin

If I photographed everything separately, we'd be here all day...  She really took "if it fits, it ships" seriously  Wink

Check out all of the amazing goodies:

First off, an incredibly soft & gorgeous cowl~

A great variety of yarn~

(I had good intentions of donating any yarn I received to my crochet club...  Now that I see how soft & beautiful it is, I'm having a hard time committing to that...)

4 (4!!) full spools of ribbon  Grin Grin

Safety eyes, charms, buttons, jewelry, etc, etc, etc (!! again!!)

My favourite non-crafted charm ~ Can't wait to get this one on the right chain!

This charm nearly took my breath away, it's so beautiful~ She asked me what colours I wanted and I said something Fall-ish...  She scored 100% on this one if you ask me!!

(I wish I had the ability to photograph it properly... crap camera, crap lighting. sorry.  It's really wonderful)

I asked for some hair accessories and wow~ Did I ever get spoiled!  Look at these!

There are 12 in total, 3 different styles...  The square ones are like stamped tiles, the flowers are fabric with silver or bead accent pieces & the smaller circles are just awesome Smiley  They're like coloured glass beads with crumpled metal in them...  that's the only way I can think to describe them.  Beautiful Smiley

And last, but certainly not least, a whole bunch of really nicely coloured green cordoury-ish fabric & a pair of circular knitting needles.

If you ask me, this was a swap package & a half!!  Thank you again hazelly~ I'm glad that you chose me to receive from you.  I hope that we cross paths in a future swap, I'll be sure to return the favour!

Have a great day everyone Smiley

We got home from Thanksgiving at the in-laws (5 hours away from here) to find that I received from Beki710!

She sent me some great stuff, all the way across the Atlantic Ocean!

First, the "overall" shot.

I got a nice note explaining what she chose to create and something about why.

I think this one is my favorite.  A kitty picture using SheepBlue's technique of gluing whimsys to a canvas.  It lost a couple of parts on its journey, but a little quality time with my hot glue gun and I think its all better.  (I may not have put everything back in the original places, but I think I did pretty good).  I love the little teapot down in the left bottom corner, the little drink with the straw above the huge button on the left.  There are so many cool little things there, I keep seeing new things each time I look again.

I got a Welsh dragon hoopla!  Done in very small stitches.  She said it is the very traditional image from the Welsh flag.

Some cool "DNA Earrings".  (Add the usual issue with getting a good pic of something small and shiny -- they are blue not purple)

A couple of patterns.  I told her that I liked cats and dragons, so she sent me one of each!

And some neat candy.  I haven't tried any of it yet (but we will).  I find the "teeth and toothbrushes" candy especially funny!  My daughter wants to open some of the chocolates (but I wouldn't let her until we got home from dinner).

I love the deer hat and skulls too!  Great packages! Now I get to add pictures of my fab package that I received from kindofaddicted

She claimed me for a Nook cover and sent a gorgeous embroidered one.
The front with my initial

The back (my favorite)

and the inside...

She also claimed me for a wine cork necklace and she sent a TON of charms to go along with the necklace

They were packaged in the neatest cigar box that was lined with foam marshmallows so it can be used to hold earrings and such

Last but not least she sent two I Spy Ornaments for my kids.  I hid these from them until closer to the holidays.  It's awesome cause I have started a little box of their own special ornaments for each of them.  This way when they are adults they will have a box of ornaments to take with them that will hopefully bring back good memories.

Thank you so much for spoiling me!  Welcome back to swapping Smiley

I received from Mrs. Awesome_Pants and it was a box of awesome crocheted and scrappy goodness.

First off, she sent me two crocheted fabric mats, which I am thinking are good colours to use in my bathroom.  Once I convince Ginger that they are not there for her comfort - she claimed the pink and blue one right after I took the pictures.

She also sent me three cute butterfly bookmarks - perfect as I was thinking I could use some more (I tend to read multiple books at once, and they are great for marking patterns/articles/recipes for the future)

Cotton face cloths - I like this thread/texture - it feels like it would exfoliate nicely

Nylon pot scrubbies -

and finally, a reusable swiffer pad - a vital thing, as I have an abundance of dog fur floating around.  Even though there is only one dog in the house now, I suspect that years down the road, I will still find evidence of our dearly depart Toby - he shed the equivalent of another dog every week I would swear!  I loved the Swiffer, but hated that it was not reusable - so this will get a lot of use!

Thank you Mrs. Awesome_Pants for your hard work and generosity in picking me, and welcome back to the wonderful world of swapping!

Holy moly, guys.  I received from Lo{ve} today (I actually had fallen asleep on the couch and knocked a bunch of stuff over when the mailman woke me up with the doorbell), and she went above and beyond, and then just kept on going!

When I opened the box, this is what I saw:

And it seemed like I just kept taking more and more out, like Mary Poppins' bag!
There was serger thread....

Rotary cutter blades, a hand carved stamp, and a wash away fabric marker...

A rainbow of my favorite Gutermann thread (and yes, some of those are the big honking 500m guys)

...and sitting pretty in the bottom, another rainbow, this time of Rit Dyes!

Thank you so much, Lo{ve}!  I don't really know what I was expecting out of this swap, but this is more than I ever would have hoped for!  Thank you so so much, and I hope you have just the best swap partners from here on out; this just absolutely made my week!   Grin

I received from the wonderful Jellybean313 yesterday and today put much of the package into use already!!!
Can't wait to use the rest!

A Fabric Waste Bag for the Minivan.

I love the fabric choice and the inside is a shiny plastic-y material for "other than paper" waste. GENIUS!

Cloth Napkins:

4 Napkins of each color! I collect and use cloth napkins (I am a big fan of the mix and match) and these will fit in perfectly!

Full Apron:

I also collect aprons and I didn't have a black/grey/silver one... YAY!!!! I love the shimmery silver pattern so very much!

TEA WALLET!!!!

This is so in the running for my favorite of the lot! (The waste bag a close 2nd  Wink )
My current purse of choice is a khaki messenger bag and this wallet just about matches it spot on! I love the use of corduroy and fun fabric on the inside. Also, the TEA! I'll be so thrilled tomorrow morning when I get to try something new!

Jellybean313, thank you so SO SO much for the great stuff!!! I got to take a much closer look today whilst taking pictures and I am so impressed at your stitches.

Thank you for choosing me and I can't wait to see you around the swap boards!!!!!!!

I got a wicked cool package from Dynamine in the mail today!  Cheesy
Thank you so much!  It's been really rough for me lately, so this came right at the right time for a pick me up.

No unwrapped pictures, since I took a couple and now think I accidentally deleted them.  Whoops!  Sorry.  Sad  It was cute blue tissue.

I just adore everything.  Smiley
There's a wonderful needle book that is strawberry shaped.  The cover has such cute stitching for the leaves, and BEADS!  I'm a real sucker for beads.  It's just adorable.  Bear with me, I love needle books and it's just perfect.

I got such a huge kick out of the needlebook I took a few pictures.  The stitching on the leaves is just darling, and again, seedbeads as the seeds!

Includes some needles pre-stashed.

Very well put together.  I can't wait to fill it up later tonight!

A neat microwaveable heating pad- I've wanted one of these for ages and it's awesome!  She did a really great job too, it's made of fleece and flannel so it is very soft.  The colors are so perfect too!  Obviously, since it nearly blends into my couch...   Grin  I can't wait to curl up with it after dinner.  I'll have to watch out and make sure my boyfriend doesn't try to steal it on me!

A bunch of super shiny and lovely DMC light effects threads to play with!  Plus a couple of cute little hoops and some silver embroidery thread too!  Smiley

Finally she put in an adorable wolf pattern too.  Can't go wrong with wolves for me.  Wink

Even my rabbit, Thor, got a huge kick out of the box.

I kept missing the time he spent with his head in the box digging at the tissue wrapping!  I'm really not a hoarder or anything, I just keep some boxes and stuff around in the area when I have him running around.  It keeps him busy.

Thank you a million times over, dynamine!  Your package is fantastic, I really can't believe this is the first one of those heat pads you have ever made.  It came out wonderfully!
I'm so glad you were my partner.  Smiley  Welcome back to swapping!
