Here it is peeps - some Whedon awesomeness from the lovely zzdia!!

No your eyes don't deceive you - these bad boys are Tall cards and they are mine all mine. I have all of tomorrow to learn the rules and then hubby is going down (or alternatively taking all my cooking and washing up duties). Thankyou for the time and effort you put in zzdia getting them looking so good!

Check out zzdia's art skills - this is oil pastels on felt paper (one of zzdia's favourite mediums and I can see why) and it's gorgeous. It will be framed (still deciding how) and placed in the media room.

2 great Dr Horrible stitcheries - <3 them

Not game enough to do an action shot but these are sweet!! I am a bit sad winter is over here  Sad but I will be hoping we get some cold days before spring is over so I can wear them,

And some Whedon inspired jewellery - brooch with leather for Mal, 'shiny' for Kaylee, shell to match his Hawaiian shirts for Wash, green for Wash's leaf quote, blue beads for River's dress and her ice planet. Blue crocheted earrings and the blue/green crochet is a bracelet zzdia wasn't 100% happy with but the colours are lovely and I will work out something to do with it.

Thanks so much zzdia - you have mad skills and I love what you made me. Hope my items make it to you as quickly as they can  Cheesy

I received from Moriwen

Wow it has been so busy I've not had a chance to update the post after putting up the pictures.

She sent me a very lovely Tree, a box full of dinosaurs (to distract Alpha), a nice bag which is perfect for carrying around my knitting, Dr Horrible Goggles, and a notebook.

Very lovely!

Thank you Moriwen. I hope you are feeling better.

I received my fantastic packages from queenofmarigold on Monday but couldn't get the photos up until now. She did items for me and for my children. Cheesy This helps to avoid the problem of them stealing my goodies. Wink

First the DS case for my son. It is all hand stitched with layers of felt. He loves it. We are all big fans of the Avengers movie.

My daughter likes to draw and write so queenofmarigold made her a journal. It is very cool. There are fun little bits inside; my daughters name, a shiny Shiny and...

So cool!

I have been in need of these. My last ones fell apart. Now I have these great ones, which incorporate Firefly and dinosaurs and make me think of Wash. I used them last night and they are great.

I finally have my own Jayne hat. ScotSkipper made one for my husband in a previous swap, queenofmarigold made me one. The really cool thing is that she found a pattern that included all of the flaws in the original. I love it.

Thank you queenofmarigold, you made the day for all of us on Monday. We love our goodies.

I received my package today from theboywonder and it is awesome!

First a great Blue Sun tote bag.  It's the perfect size to take to the library or a quick trip to the grocery store.

Second two necklaces.  One with Serenity that says "Let's be Bad Guys!" and the other with a profile of Loki.

And I saved the best for last!  A crocheted Loki!  And his helmet comes off too (but after I got his hair perfect underneath I didn't want to take it back off  Grin)

And here he is with my other Lokis.

Thank you so much theboywonder!

Check it out y'all, here's my Firefly themed swap package from our fabulous organizer, spikefan!  Everything is so awesome, I was literally squeeing while I opened the package.

First of all, my very own Jayne hat!  I've been wanting one of these babies for a long time. ^_^  And it's just in time for my first autumn in Canada!
Can you tell I'm excited about this hat?

She also made me a Jayne hoop:

And a framed cross stitch with one of my favorite quotes from the show:

Unfortunately, the tissue paper she wrapped the items in stuck to the paint on the frame, so I may have to repaint it.  It'll be going up on the wall today regardless.

The other item is a buckled leather wrist band that's like the one Jayne wears on the show.  So cool!  I'll have to put it on my husband later and take some action shots.

Thank you so much spikefan!!  I absolutely love everything, you're an amazing swap partner.

I got a shiny package from thehappycrochetchic and managed to get some photos.

First, I got a mug that says aim to misbehave which is great because, I needed a good mug to keep at work for frequent coffee and tea breaks Smiley

I also got. Dun dun dun dun- a Jayne hat!!! Yay!! I cant believe her skill in crochet. I wish my fingers could grasp how to crochet, but I always seem to make knots. It even looks knit, like his does, and I have no idea how she made it.

There are some neato wrist warmers like Pennys. Im wearing them right now, since my hands get really cold.

But wait, theres more!

A coaster to go with my mug. A strawberry for Kaylee. Some stitch markers for Mal and Kaylee- the one has one of my favorite quotes from when they first meet (Ever ride in a Firefly? Wanna?). And two magnets with more of my favorite quotes: The status is not quo and Lets be bad guys. And a pair of pretty blue earrings that make me think of Inara.

Here I am enjoying my new cunning hat and wristwarmers!

Thank you so much for everything!!!!! I hope you enjoy mine as much as I love yours.

Here's my shiny package of goodies from my fabulous partner, whenindoubtsew!
An awesome Dr. Horrible stenciled pillowcase bag. I think Dr. Horrible's going to be my new shopping partner now. There's also a big damn heroes pin there

Bas modeling my new Jayne hat and my very own River poppet posing with him.

A 'shoot 'em? politely' necklace, a Serenity necklace, and an 'I aim to misbehave' necklace/wrap bracelet. Love these. I plan on wearing the shoot 'em one later to Battalia.

And my two favorite items! A Big Damn Heroes stenciled shirt and a River-inspired skirt. The skirt is perfect, whenindoubtsew! Really sorry for the crap pic for this one. I can never get decent action shots.

Again, thank you so much, whenindoubtsew. It's been really fantastic swapping with you again. And kudos to our organizer, spikefan, for another wonderful swap

And I received my fantastic package from Harvey! Luckily for me I have no children so I never have to share my swap goodies - I get it all to myself Cheesy

Firstly was a set of "nesting doll" style hoops featuring three of the best cast members from Firefly - in case you can't tell (but you totally can) that is Wash, Kaylee and Mal. The hoops actually do "nest" inside each other and they were sitting that way when I opened it, so it was a fun discovery.

And, even better, a super shiny steampunk-ish Dr Horrible messenger bag! I love how iconic the silhouette is, there's really no question about who that is! And, even better, the inside fabric ("Kayleesque") is beautiful and soft and (actually) shiny. The photo really doesn't do it justice - the dragonflies are all colours when the light hits them.

What a great swap, and I am glad we lived so close together so I didn't have to wait the usual 2+ weeks to receive Cheesy Thanks so much Harvey!

I received earlier this week from oxynitrate! She has yet to get her package from me, even though I sent it almost two weeks before she did, I imagine there was some problem in customs. =/

Anywho, here is {most} of her package. She also sent me an awesome, awesome t-shirt that I immediately wore to work the next day to show off, and alas, the ONLY day EVER that I work with bleach, I managed to get a streak across the bottom of the shirt =(. I was devastated. On the upside, upon coming home and analyzing it, I realized it's totally fixable, I just need to wash it first. So hopefully, oxynitrate has a picture for you.

A shiny bag, Kaylee inspired earrings (that I have been wearing every day), and bonus little wooden owls that are unrelated to Joss Whedon:

Buffy coasters with holder: (one got damaged in the mail, but it's fixable)

And the amazing shirt that I didnt photograph. =(

I do love everything! I figured out the Firefly jar, when I got it this morning I had just woken up and I though it was just a jar with a piece of fabric with a bow, there was a little battery operated wire that moved around...i showed my hubby and i was thinking it was suppose to be something but i could not figure it out! I unwrapped the fabric thinking it was tangled since it didnt move and it was a little serenity ship on a wire, when you turn it on the tail lights up and it flits around, I feel sooo dumb for not figuring it out sooner! I think it was a product "Pet Firefly in a Jar" that she added a clay ship to. it is super original and creative not sure if I can get a good pic of it though, I will try tomorrow!

Thanks Again Ally!

Thanks!! It was a lot of fun to make! But it's really hard to get pictures of it since it moves.

I have some here:

And here: Firefly in a Jar! Literally!
