hiya ladies!  i received a package today from miss monica and i am here to show it off!  now, babalina claimed me twice in ows75, and some of this is from some personal swapping we've been doing.  so there's a lot to see . . .

first, some hanging dish towels in my kitchen colors: red, aqua, and lime green:

detail shot:

i am completely in love with the aqua birdie fabric!  and it's not soooo birdie that my husband will even notice to give me grief over the birds taking over our/my kitchen!  i am so extremely tickled over these.

some red potholders:

a girl just cannot have enough potholders around here

an embroidered towel for my man:

it's a cheshire cat!  don't you just love it?  i know he will.  i am tempted to hide it away until christmas, but not sure if i can make it that long.  she still used my kitchen colors, so it might live in there.

some fabric bowls:

i used the towels to fill them so they would stand nicely.  the larger one is in my kitchen colors (the outside is a solid aqua) and the smaller one is in the colors of our master bedroom.  she told me that she wasn't thrilled with how they turned out but i kinda love them?  i'm going to put some small river rocks in them to keep their forms and then use the big one as a fruit bowl and the smaller one will make a great nightstand catch-all.

an art quilt for my kitchen:

now, surely i do not have to tell you how much i love and adore this.  it's perfect.  perfect!  i cannot wait to get it hung.  absolutely beautiful.

another art quilt:

this is going to live in our breezeway when it's done.  every single fabric on there is one i want to add to my collection!  it's okay if you are all jealous, because i'm feeling like the most spoiled girl in the world.

monica - you are awesome sauce!

I received two lovely items this past week.

The first was one from Kartiana!  This lovely green scrappy ribbon garland!  I love all the extra fiber she added and she added loops and a button on each end.  Super cute and easy for hanging.  This will be used for Aria's rainbow birthday party after I gather red, orange, blue, purple, and yellow.  I only hope the other five are just as cute as Kartiana's!  Thank you!!!

Here it is doubled up!

Here's a close up of the scrappy ribbons/yarn/fiber!  Cheesy

I also received from jamiek79!  She claimed me for a growth chart for Aria.  I'm so excited to transfer all the pen markings on the doorframe to this lovely chart.  My husband Phil gave me a great idea for marking it.  I'm going to use small safety pins and then I'm attaching a twill ribbon with the date and her height stamped in permanent fabric ink to the safety pin.  FUN!  Cheesy

Here's Aria standing next to it.  Don't mind her face.  She is really enthused about the chart; she was dancing around this morning when I put it up.  But she's had a long day hunting pumpkins at a local farm.

Thanks again, ladies!  I love both items very much!!

So I received last week from the wonderful rlynn! She made me a trash bag for my dad's truck!

If you look at the inside you can see that she made it so that a grocery bag can fold over the lining to make it easy to take the trash out and to protect the fabulous fabric she used! It matches my Dad's truck to a tee!

Then she went and made me this fabulous cuff.

I haven't taken it off since I got it. Well maybe once or twice when I showered or did dishes. Pardon all the scratches and scars on my hand it was a really rough week at work  Angry

rlynn thank you so much! I love it all!

bananaleg sent me some washcloths in some of my fav colors and fun designs:

And one that looks like a Finland flag!  Cheesy

A little hard to see in the pic, but very much there in real life, I love it! I'm actually going to pin this one in hopes of getting more/similar Finland flag washcloths to give to my family for Xmas  Smiley

I also got some crafty supplies; paper and buttons! Yay!

Aaaaaaand post cards and photographs from Washington:

I with this picture could capture the beauty of all the photographs bananaleg sent, they remind me of WA so much and they are so pretty. Thank you bananaleg  Kiss It's nice to have some reminders that there is green and water in this world, living in southern California I sometimes forget about that  Roll Eyes heh.

Personally i would go with used before getting one at walmart.  We got my son son one at christmastime and it broke in no time.  Not worth the investment IMO.

Mine was a floor model i got at a sewing shot and its almost 10 year old and going strong!!  granted i payed 300 for it at the time but im sure you could find a great used one for under 200!!

I bought a floor model from a sewing store as well and I think it cost me about 200.

But speaking of Gamemom42, Aria received her box of rainbow goodness today!!!

Gamemom42, we love the flower garland and whimsy jar.  Aria was super excited to go through everything.

Oh get this...each flower is attached to the ribbon by a pretty little safety pin so they can be removed and used on other items~

Where Aria insisted the garland should reside until the party.  Cheesy

The Whimsy Jar.  Aria really loved going through this...I'm going to have to get her more whimsy jars.  Cheesy

My strange, strange child...heh.  I can rarely get her to smile nicely these days.  She thinks she's hilarious.  Okay, actually she is pretty hilarious...maybe I have a comedian on my hands.  Wink

First off, I think I'm kind of in love with those pincushion birds.  Especially the dragonfly fabric one.  Is there a pattern for them anywhere?

Now.  I got my package from bergman today.  Candles!  And post-its!  I'm sure we all know what post-its look like, but here's an artfully arranged photo anyway.

I totally wasn't expecting so many.  Look!

All lit up.  I burnt my finger getting this photo.

I love the short fat one.  And I really love the look of the wax dripping down the sides, and I adore the smell of beeswax, and they're all just basically amazing.  I've had them burning since I got them.  Thank you so so much!

So I received from the fabulous kartiana today and she spoiled me big time! She sent me a medium flat rate box chock full of stuff. I may have to leave some Advil in the mailbox for our mail lady because this thing was so heavy!

First up look at the amount of scrapbook paper she sent me! (all you scrappers know you are jealous!)

Then all of this paper reclaimed from books. I am going to be able to use most of it for wreaths this christmas and there are a few photos that are going to be framed and go right on our walls!

Next we have patterns 5 in all! I have been looking  for animals and tote bag patterns for a while and haven't found anything I like thank you!

And finally Fabric!!! do you see the one that is pink and green with the bears on it! Yeah that piece has to be at least 3 yards! Ooooh I see some baby stuff in my future!

Thank you Kartiana I love all of it and I really needed a great package right now..

p.s. plaidpineapple your package is at the post office just waiting for 5pm to be scanned I'll get your confirmation # to you in a little bit!

I rec'd my handmade notecards from bergman and I just love them!

Here's the lot of them ( I didn't photograph the envelopes, just the cards):

and a close up of one of the adorable bee ones:

She also sent stabilizer and a packet of green buttons.  I included the cute sushi notecard she wrote because I have a feeling that is going to end up being used in my art journal.

Thanks so much bergman!  I'm planning on finding time in the next day or two to write to an aunt and a couple of cousins that I've lost touch with lately.  I'm going to use my new note cards!

So after a weekend of not being able to wrestle my DH off the computer I am here to show you all the wonder of what will be part of my tree! I love them all but the little red snowperson on the bottom right is my favorite!

Then she went and spoiled me with all of this goodness. The red fabric is something like pul but more shiny. Any ideas out there on what I can do with it?? The two fabrics in the middle go together very nicely and I see a project bag for my aunt in the future for that fabric.

Lastly a bunch of paper. I have a weekend crop coming up in the beginning of Novermber and these will work quite nicely.

Gamemom you rock thank you sooo much!
