My package from the very talented Beckashell arrived this morning, having battled monsoon rain and floods to arrive pristine and perfect.  I cannot begin to tell you how much I love everything she made; they are all beautiful and suited perfectly to my Terrible Importance.

First up we have the "Terribly Important Cupboard" which is full of things that show and describe just how terribly important I am.  I love the distressed, antique look and all the little wonders inside:

Next, a lovely little pouch filled with magnet words (squee!  Been wanting for ages!) so others can shower me with praise on my fridge, as they rightly should:

"Queen of Awesomeness" Banner.  Sparkly and beautiful and now hanging in the lounge room to brighten up the opressive (blergh) beige:

"Time to be..." Clock, which I must admit is my favourite.  Instead of numbers, which would be so hideously common, the clock reads Time to be... awesome, wonderful, appreciated, legendary, majestic, perfect, astonishing, amazing, stunning, worshipped, awe inspiring, and beautiful, depending on the hour.

Beckashell has been flat out busy at home but still took the time to put together a thoughtful and creative swap package.  I feel very spoiled Smiley  It was lovely to have her for a swap partner.

***

P.S.

I thought I should post a few pictures of the items from the package I sent Beckashell, as she's not been able to add pics yet.

This is the wall hanging she was talking about - glittery ribbon and a whole lot of black, grey and purple glass beads:

And the other item, her very own action figure, re-crafted from a Moxie doll.  Of course I don't know what Beckashell looks like, but she said in her questionairre that she'd love a plushie of herself ("Just think of the most awesome important person you can and then make them even better.  That's me.  With brown hair in a pony tail and glasses.")  So here you go, closest thing to a plushie that I could manage Smiley  It comes with a few fangirl accessories from Beckashell's adored TV shows; a stake and purse from Buffy, a twirly paper parasol from Firefly and a golden snitch necklace and horcrux bag from Harry Potter.

And now the rest of my goodies from the Her Majesty Queen of Awesomeness, Rossie!

The most lovely wall hanging - my family was convinced that you had bought it! I had to keep explaining... "No, we CRAFT things... she's just that clever!"  Cheesy

Close-up! These pictures don't capture the lovely colours - I have this hanging on my window so that the sun shines through the gems.

And as AMAZING as everything else was, this final item is my absolute favourite. I feel like I should be building a glass cabinet to keep it in so that noone can touch it!
A limited edition fangirl doll of... ME!  Cheesy Cheesy

You have captured me PERFECTLY! And the little glasses look just like the new ones I bought the other day.

It's the details that really make this so awesome. All the accessories are straight from my wist!

THANK YOU Rossie! You are definitely the most TERRIBLY IMPORTANT SOB I have ever had the honour of swapping with!  Grin Grin Grin

I received from Rackyoo! She has surpassed my high expectations and I feel incredibly important. Here is a photo of all the gifts.

I will state what the tags say as we going.
Number one says: If you're gonna be the queen, you've got to sport the gear. Wear this crown angled jauntily on your royal noggin, and show everyone who's boss.

Here is an action shot:

Next is: You are way to important to have to keep up with tiny details: maybe this will help.

It says "I am way to important for this sh*t"

Here's the back:

It says important. And it's a notebook just incase you couldn't tell.

On to number three: It's your mantra, and you don't cares who knows it. Say it loud, say it proud, hang it up with pride.

I love it so much!  I say this all the time.

This package has made my day! Thank you so much Rackyoo!

I received my package from rossie!! And it is most definitely worthy of my importance!

I received the most beautiful wall hanging. Which I forgot to take a photo of since I hung it up straight away. The colours are gorgeous! Photo coming soon...

Next up, an amazing paper-pieced/sewn/awesomeness creation, titled: The birth of Beckashell!
Unfortunately, the frame broke in the mail - apparently nobody has ever bothered to tell the postman just how important I am. Luckily, I have another frame the same size so i'll change it over asap.

I love the Harry Potter references!

Detail shots:

And I had to save the best until last... But i've just looked at the photos I had taken and i'm not happy with them. I am so in love with this final item that i'm not going no post sub-par photos. Hopefully you don't mind waiting for me to take some new ones tomorrow!! I promise it will be worth the wait. My family was in awe.

Rossie - you are absolutely incredible. Almost as much as I am!

THANK YOU!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Sorry about the pic quality here and the lateness in posting... I'm just barely alive (or it feels that way anyway). My throat feels like someone poured lava down it and I've completely lost my voice much to the delight of my awful husband and terrible child  Cheesy EdelC sent some fantastically important bits so they've been put to good use, helping me to put those two brats in their place...

Sweet little extras

A gorgeous drippy necklace that screams how marvelous I am.

Some super cute earrings.

An awesome tote (the pics don't do it justice) which will get a great deal of use as I always carry a lot of important things with me Smiley

And finally... minions!
Yes! MINIONS!

Here's my favourite guy

Thanks EdelC! I love it all to bits Smiley

Okay - so here we go....my goodies from the spectacular Cackle.  First to come out of the box was HRH's Royal decree, commending me on my craftiness.  I can't wait to go out and get a frame for this because I love it so much and I plan on hanging it directly over my sewing machine.  I hope you can read it on here - it is seriously hilarious.

Next was this cute little box....

...which contained these fabulous medals as a testiment to my craftiness. (And "handiness".)  Wink

And finally....how could I possibly feel very important without the crucial head gear?  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, a very important SOB.  Smiley

Thank you Cackle - this was such a fun package!!!

My partner received her package and asked that I post any pics while her camera is away, so here they are.

Below are the terribly important items that I sent to icebyrd67.

One of Icebyrd67's terribly important titles is the "Doer of Everything" at work. So I created a mini clipboard wall (cubicle?) hanging to let her co-workers know this.

She is also the "Countess of Cookies" amongst her friends, so I made her a couple of felt cookie barrettes.

I was completely smitten by the post of medals! So I had to try my hand at some.

I adore the wit of Anne Taintor's art collages, so I made a 2-sided sassy necklace. (Unfortunately, I only have a photo of one side.)

And finally, a pair of queenly earrings with a crown and "rule yourself" proclamation on the other.

This was such a fantastic swap, I loved it! Definitely one of my favorites to date. Thanks for organizing this! Cheesy

Alteredmommy, I am so glad you like your package of importance!  When you asked for an official stamp...I couldn't resist.

I also received my package of importance!!!  And I LOVE it all.

First up is this fantabulous scepter of recycled brilliance

And the back!

Then this lovely fabric crown

And behold the fabric lining it...the text of different languages will make sense it a bit

my ultimate favorite piece...the top says "citizen of the world" (ahem, hence the diff language text in the crown) and the bottle cap says "marchioness of finesse and creativity"

LOVE LOVE LOVE
The citizen of the world phrase is a segment of a favorite quote of mine from Eugene V. Debs!  I will so be wearing the medal out!!

Thanks so much, important partner of mine.  And thank you Knickertwist, this was such a delightful swap!

After getting the terribly important flu, I am finally able to post pictures! I was hoping to get some lovely shots of my medals glistening in the sun, but alas, the weather is simply not cooperating. Surely it knows how important I am? And yet it is still cloudy! The audacity. I received from RantyHippie and everything was just perfect!

First, a distinguished banner/wall-hanging bearing my important title: Princess Von FancyPants. I think I might frame it, but I haven't decided yet.

And a close-up...

I love embroidered toile, always. Fabulous.

Then came all of my lovely wearables, with which to declare my importantness.

I'm number 1! I'm number 1!

Finally, the pièce de résistance! Gorgeous jewelry and fabulous medals! I am obsessed with old costume jewelry, so these are perfect for me. The heart earrings are so sweet, too! J'adore! (I've decided to speak French. It is because I am important, and can switch languages whenever I feel like it.)

Thank you so much! These pictures simply don't do all of these fabulously important things justice.

I received my terribly important package from amaryllisroze the other day but have been a bit lax in photo posting as things have been incredibly hectic with the closing on mine and the DH's first home coming up next week and my minions are nowhere to be found! Here is the fabulous loot she sent me, which will adorn the new home and proclaim my importance to any housewarmers or new neighbors who may stop by:

A wee bird to do my bidding and tell my secrets too:

A snazzy hat to wear while making important declarations:

(no action shot as my hair is an awful mess today!)

And the icing on the terribly important cake, a bunting declaring that I'm a VIP of the Terribly Important SOB variety:

Thank you so much for the wonderful swap, Aroze, you've made me feel oh so important. Cheesy

YAY!  my partner got my package over the weekend!  YAY!

I did! And it's all so fabulous! I feel terribly important. Cheesy

To all, feast your eyes on these wonderful wares...

icebyrd67 crafted a shirt for me, based on an item on my wist. I <3 it! The design is painted/silkscreened on and I can't wait to wear it, maybe to the next casual Friday at work.

Also included is a lovely unicorn hoop with my (admittedly mediocre) self-proclaimed title of "Maker of Things!" I am amazed at the detail. Smiley

And lastly, a gorgeous necklace proclaiming once more that I am a "Maker"..! I adore the simple elegance of this necklace.

Thank you SO MUCH for the swap, icebyrd67! I will be sending out your package this week and I do hope you like it as much as I loved mine. Grin

Finally, someone has recognized just how Terribly Important I am! Thanks to the amazing Ms. Ramona Q for helping to highlight my excellence.  Grin

Ramona Q sent me the greatest package. Lookie!
A blue ribbon! I came in first as the Craftiest Bitch. Was there really ever any doubt?

As a VIP, I do have rules. And this is one of my favorites. Ramona Q appliqued it on a pillow cover. This will reside in my craft room as a constant reminder to the minions: zip it!

And my absolute favorite item, this awesome image, framed in a vintage embroidery hoop. LOVE IT! This is either hanging on the wall or the door of the craft room. Seriously, this is as important as I am!

Thanks so much for this terribly important package, Ramona Q! It's the best. And thank you, knickers, for hosting such a fun swap.  Smiley
