i received this awesome hoop from sinellia way back in last week  Undecided work has been killing me but now i finally get to share pictures with everyone!

we both love day of the dead themed crafts, and i was lucky enough to get not one but two embroidered sugar skulls along with two beautiful flowers

that last flower is my favourite part  Smiley i love how sinellia managed to work with the fact that i'm not a huge fan of bright colours and still create a totally fitting hoop- thanks partner! massive thanks to our organisers too, i think this is the biggest swap i've ever seen  Shocked bring on the next round!

Today after work I didn't feel all that great, but I took a nap and woke up to an AMAZING hoop! I LOVE my pet rats. They're my babies, and fiorinda did a portrait for me! My camera is out of commission for now so I hope fiorinda will put up better pics, but I took pictures with my Nintendo DS, with my lovely Christine to show the likeness. <3

Thank you sooo much fiorinda! I teared up when I saw the hoop, it's just so perfect. Also, how adorable is the card you sent with it? I love that paper.

Who else is completely ready for the next round? I've got two fabulous hoops on the wall and can't wait to see moooore! Cheesy

It Came!! I got my hoop from Onegroovyday today. I was on my way to the hockey game when I saw something a my door. Even though I was late, I still stopped and opened the package. Here's what was inside.

This is a picture of the hoop with the beautiful fabric it was wrapped in.
I requested a hoop of our lady of Guadalupe.

Here is a close up of our lady

Her halo and gown are done with a thread of metallic floss.

Here is the back which is almost as pretty as the front.

I'm crazy about anchors

And here is a close up of the stitching. How did you do that OGD? Did you stich over it twice with the teal thread?

Thank you again One Groovy Day, you made my day:)

That is a beautiful hoop, and Argento was a beautiful cat  Kiss

I also have a kitty hoop to share that I received today from sazzra.  I wanted to post pictures tonight, so I apologize for the crappy lighting.  I'll take better ones tomorrow Smiley

First, shiny (!!) package and a pretty card:

Hoop inside!  Soooo pretty and tiny, tiny stitches:

Don't miss the teeny kitty sitting by the tree!

And the shiny sun overlooking everyone:

Thank you so much, sazzra!  I love the tree, and the sun, and especially my tiny kitty  Cheesy  Were the leaves supposed to be... birds?  fruits?  I have no idea but I wouldn't have known that they weren't a purposeful part of the pattern.

Look at this BEAUTIFUL hoop I received from MrsKAT!! It is so wonderful.  Her stitching is so even and look at those french knots.  There's at least a thousand of them!!! I am just in AWE of this.  and I love it!
I had to post a pic of the hoop I sent to MrsKAT also.  It's funny; we both stitched OWLS for each other and didn't plan it.  Just a happy coincidence!

Thanks, Kim...It's really beautiful!

Everyone have their wisting fingers ready? Good. Because I received my hoop today from Gamemom42 and it is BEYOND fantastic! She was inspired by a hoop on my wists, and I think the hoop she did for me is better than my wisted one!

And some pics:

I tried to get a shot of the stripe on her hat. The stitch looks like little stars- so pretty!

And some beard detail:

Right at home on my hoopla wall, right next to her bearded pal Billy Mays!

Thank you Thank you Gamemom42! My husband and I both love her!

I'm going to hang the one on the blue in my craft room & the other is going in my babygirl's bedroom! She'll love it!

Thank you so much MizzKodak!!! You really went over the top & spoiled me! ...and yes, my DD will also love the little book & I'll find a use for the fabric you'd wrapped the hoops in! Maybe I'll make more dolls for dolly donations with it! (more bonus goodies!)

I'm glad you like her, sazzra (and everyone else!)! Smiley

I tried out a whole bunch of new stitches, since this site has so many: http://handembroiderynetwork.blogspot.com/search/label/Stitch%20A%20Day

If you scroll down the page, along the left hand side is a huge list of all kinds of tutorials for different stitches.  The fishnet looking stitch that I used along the doll's sides was the wave filling, which went quickly and was a lot of fun to do Smiley
http://handembroiderynetwork.blogspot.com/2009/11/stitch-day-wave-filling.html

Here's a picture that I took of her before I sent, not sure if it's any better.  And a closeup of her face.  I used some pretty cloud fabric that I had:

And I sortof made up a way to finish the back, because the other tutorials seemed awfully complicated  Tongue  Basically, I stitch along the extra fabric around the hoop, and pull it tight like a drawstring.  Then I cut a circle of felt the same size as the hoop, and blanket stitched it on.  Not sure if that was clear, but this was from the hoop I sent last round:

yey I've received both of my hoops! I absolutly love both of them and they are now proudly displayed on my hoopla wall.

Hoop from Peihan:
I love mustaches and it is now movember (mustache month!) so this is perfect.

I tried to take a pic of the stitches but my camera sucks. There is a tiny bit of cross stitching on the middle mustache which is really fun! (P.S. I love the seed beads for the first stach too! Gave it a really fun look!)

Hoop from Pugwash:
I love this little hot air balloon. It reminds me of my childhood when we used to go to hot air balloon festivals every year. My hubby hung it up so its "floating" towards the window too.

Thank you ladies!! I love them. Yours will be heading towards you on Monday! I hope you like them as much as I love mine!

And here they are on the hoopla wall:
