I love the French knots as the light in the eyes!

I received today from bexieboo and the hoop is absolutely perfect! <3 <3 <3

The back was finished so neatly!

And now my hoopla wall has begun!

Thank you so much bexieboo, I'm absolutely in love with it! The blue fabric you used matches my sheets, ha ha. Smiley I'm also pretty embarrassed about the back of mine, it doesn't look nearly as good as yours, and I hope that yours gets to you on Monday!

OK Hoopsters...be prepared to wist!
I received the most fabulous hoopla from onegroovyday!!

First, it came wrapped in the cutest flamingo fabric (can't wait to figure out something to do with that!)

And then, when I opened it up....wait for it....

Presenting....the FLAMCOCK (or peamingo, if you prefer)!

Isn't it amazing??!!

Closeup of the details:

Even the back is beautiful!

I'm so excited to have this as the first piece on my hoopla wall...I'll be putting it up this weekend.

Thanks so much Mindy....of course, now I'm really stressing over what I'm going to do for yours!

It has arived! And OH MY GOD. I am, officially, the luckiest person in this swap.

It's Iron Man!

I'm a big superhero fan, so this is perfect! Fits perfectly next to Buzz Smiley

The detail and neatness are unbelievable. Even the hoop is gorgeous. AND it glows in the dark! I bow down at the alter of StitchFIGHT.

And look what Tshirt I was wearing today Cheesy

ok back with pictures!

I mentioned in my questionnaire that I loved oddities, side-show type characters, etc. dharma_rebel totally did it justice and I love my siamese babies!! I have such a hard time drawing human figures so this is amazing to me, and I love the character each child has. Honestly simplicity is the best way to go with this piece, I couldn't imagine anything else that could make it more perfect. The texture of the hair is awesome too! I love that it's not trying to look like hair but the pattern itself is obvious as hair anyway. Thanks so much!!! I love it  Grin

She also stitched up the back too. I feel a little bad for forgetting to do that on mine - next time!

Here's a bad picture of my baby hoopla wall - I'm planning on doing another hoop sometime in the future, no idea what it's going to be yet  Smiley

Jemimah received the hoop I made her, but is having camera difficulties so I'm going to post pictures.

One of the themes she listed was Japanese, and she also likes vintage styles, and I found a vintage Asian-themed embroidery pattern at http://averagejanecrafter.blogspot.com/2008/03/last-bits-of-my-vintage-embroidery.html.  I rearranged the elements to work as a circle instead of a rectangle.

I recveived from sloth003 today! I love what she made for me, it's so cool! It's Serenity, the ship from Firefly! With the quote "Let's be bad guys." which is my favorite! I love how she used grey and black and for some stitches the thread is bigger so it adds dimension.

Here is my new hoop in all it's geeky glory:

Thank you so mych sloth003, I love it! It's just perfect and so my style. The only thing that would have made this better is if you'd sent Captain Mal Reynolds along!  Wink

I received from ollieorange this weekend and the hoop she made me is perfect for me!  I absolutely love it!  My hoopla wall is in my kitchen by the front door.  I told her that my plan for the wall is to have it food/kitchen related.  She took that and combined it with my love of Blythe dolls!

She stitched my girl Eisley in a chef's hat!

With my only other hoop.

And with Eisley, the inspiration girl.

Isn't she adorable?! Now I want to learn crayon tinting and wrap my next hoop with ribbon! Thank you so much, ollieorange!

Oh, my! Oh, my!  Pugwash could hardly have chosen any better for the design she made me...I am so, so pleased   Roll Eyes

She took inspiration from a set of notecards on my wist and then went way above and beyond to make my beautiful hoop...

The subject, the style, the colors, the background, the hoop - none of it could be more perfect than it is!  You can see how well it goes on the pine paneling of my kitchen wall  Cheesy

Here's another shot, this one closer up to show the beautiful colors and stitching -

She said this design was her third choice...I can't help but wonder what the others were!??  Maybe we can be partners again so I can find out  Wink

PS Even the back is elegant...

Crayon tinting I think?  Sugar skulls and owls, it gets no better than that.

I am off to hang it up on what will be the beginning of my embroidery hoop wall.  Thanks experimentl, you rock.   Cheesy

sheepBlue, that is so cute.  Love all of the little details.  You can't go wrong with 'shrooms, owls & snails!

I received from crafty gurll today!   I have a fabulous mushroom on mine, too.  She keyed into my favorite colors being aqua and red, and my likes of woodland cuteness and retro style.  Grin

My lonely gnome wanted to keep her outside, but she's going on my wall!  Thanks crafty gurll!
