Behold the glory........

I got the best package in the mail yesterday. Honestly was blow away by all the wonderful things that were in there. Thank you so much Loukr, you spoiled beyond my wildest expectations. The art prints are just blowing me away.  I went a little nuts with the pictures and don't want to hog the gallery so if you want to see all of the goodies you can check out my gallery here....

I know the first picture was kind of blurry, but there was just too much to try and fit into one picture. I will dive right into my favorites..

My husband and I LOVE the Pre-Raphaelites, truly one of the common links and passions that helped us to fall in love, this made us stop dead in our tracks.

It is a beautiful etching? for sure high quality illustration from an old art book. One of Rossetti's works and it is so getting framed and hanging in our home.

The other wonderful things in that picture are old sheet music from Scotland, stamped with beautiful birds and butterflies. Bruce's family was from Scotland way back when and it too holds a special place for us. We had a full up Scottish wedding so really this package just blew both of us away.

Way better picture of the sheet music.

Wonderful papers, fabrics and paper dollies in there as well. There was some batik fabric that still has the feel of wax about it. LOVE IT, Loukr, did you make that yourself?

A huge pile of beautiful illustrations from an old French art book on the gallery of London. You guys have no idea how much I love these. Just not words...

Yeah, that is a hip x-ray of a cat Smiley There are several more x-rays in there as well

I love everything so much I cant think of what to leave out so I am doing small pictures for right now. I LOVE these so much. She stamped leather with a beautiful bird stamp and sent me a stack of these !!! OMG

A beautiful Scottish song printed on pretty paper

A pile of stamps from all over the world !! Yeah, I know...

A cool ass cell paper rock something...not sure how to explain it. You can see through it, I was holding it up to the light for this shot. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet but it will be something hip I can tell you that.

Really beautiful inches that deserve a large picture. These are wonderful, I could look at them for hours and still see a different texture, word, thought, fabric, element. Wonderful

Two beautiful works by Loukr and signed on the back as well, thank you very much Smiley

The funniest little cards Smiley

Quilled stickers, love quilling, like paper cutting though I would never have the patience to do it myself.

Yep, that's a pile of old buttons...Smiley Happy happy happy

More beautiful papers and fabric and cut outs..

I wish I could have gotten a better shot of these, I am pretty sure they are block prints done by Loukr as well. Really pretty colors.

There was so much more in the package that I feel like I am skipping over. Please go look at the gallery so you can see how cool this package was.

Again Loukr, thank you so very much for all that you did. Really hope my package can live up to this. Such wonderful treasures in Europe, hope my stuff is not to boring. LOL

I received from corduroy cat today.
I'm going to tell you a story, okay?
See that giant mailbox over there?

Way across the road with it's door open? Well, that is my neighbor's mailbox. Mine is the tiny one behind it. My neighbor's mailbox is broken and won't stay closed.
Today I went to check the mail. After being home with Mr. Malmow ALL DAY. And while I was standing at my mailbox, I happened to look in 344's mailbox, since it was open. And I saw my package in it!
So I grabbed it right out and huffed across the street and declared to Mr. Malmow that I have HAD IT with the USPS and I will be lodging a complaint against my lazy mailman.
Anyway, THANK GOODNESS I saw it b/c 344 might not have known which house was mine and the package wouldn't fit in my mailbox and maybe they would have just stolen it.
I'm glad they didn't, because it was full of awesome stuff!
Satchmo was wary.

There are TONS of papers, a bunch of tags (I love tags) mints in an awesome tin, rub ons, beads, buttons, museum brochures, maps, giraffes, envelopes with angler fish on them!

Some of my favorites:

Cigarette cards, apothecary type labels, and the gold eyeball things. Are they supposed to backwards? Are they rubons?

Loteria cards (which I am unfamiliar with, but are really neat), a hilarious holographic Barbie card, and an amusing fortune cookie fortune.
I can't even begin to thank you, corduroy cat!
Just as I can't even begin to post all of the amazing things she sent me. One last image: some of the awesome vintage stamps she talked about.

As always, I apologize for the shoddy photography, and for sending my partner a package that isn't nearly as awesome as this one!

I received my goodies from PinkPug,INK. yesterday! And I took a bunch of pictures  Smiley

I asked for foreign language text and got two cleaver ones, Texting and the white paper to the right is Braille! So cool!

After I got all the big stuff out and photographed I had to pile it all up so I could spread out all the itty bitty goodies that were in their own envelope:

Everything is so fun! I love it all, but here are a few of my fav little things:

Sticker text (clockwise from top left): "I have seen the truth, and it makes no sense." "Deadlines amuse me" "I have no idea what I'm doing out of bed" "'Not a morning person' doesn't even begin to cover it." oh yeah, and "Kids are wise little people"  Smiley

Thanks PinkPug,INK.!!!!

Here is my wonderful package from Loukr. THANK YOU!!  Cheesy Cheesy

I didn't take a photo of everything together because there was so much you couldn't take in all the details.

Papers - music, book pages, map. I especially loved the music that has been stamped! You can't really tell from the photo but the papers in the back look just like wood! Just the other day I was trying to figure out how to paint something to look like wood - now i'll just use paper! And there is also some Scottish music - the papers remind me of books my nan has. I'm not sure i'll be able to cut them up!!

Printed images on paper and fabric

Playing cards. The hearts are just the cutest things, but i'm so excited to use the other ones! I squealed when I saw them!

I also got buttons, flower cutouts, stamps, some awesome autumn scrapbooking stickers, doillies!, more sheet music, cut-outs and , oh and Loukr also sent photos she had taken. They were so pretty!

Thanks again. I can't wait till the next paper swap!  Grin

I wanted to share my terrific package from RaeRaethejetplane with you all. I was really spoiled and am so happy with everything. Ok take a look at the ridiculous amount of photos Smiley!

The envelope was decorated with lyrics from my favorite bands and just things I like and even an ode to Meatloaf which my dad listened to all throughout me growing up so he stuck

I am really excited about the distress ink!

See the tags? Yeah those are body tags from a coroner. So cool!

Lots of papers and the underwater items are too cool.

More papers and some cool magazine clippings

Some pre made ATC backgrounds, nude pinups, and handpainted papers

Anatomy papers, more cool cutouts

Some foreign book papers, an entire foreign newspaper, and my favorite...those little mermaids!

Thank you so much, you outdid yourself and were so generous. I am so happy with both my packages from my partners!

I was away for the weekend & just got back a few hours ago & got my mail from my landlord & my goodies from frogangel were waiting for me! There was so much stuff I needed to take lots of pictures to show it all. I got lots of paper, chipboard cutouts, & stickers.:

And some cards, notepads & buttons, charms, etc:

These are my favorites:

I love the Barbie stickers!! When I was 7 my whole room was filled with Barbie stuff- curtains, bedsheets, lamp, backpack, lunchbox- you name it, it had Barbie on it. & of course I had a ton of Barbies too! Here's a closeup of the teeny tiny charms:

Frogangel also sent a box (folded) but unfortunately it broke during transit. I think it'll still be fine if I tape it up though. Smiley

Thanks for everything frogangel!

Having just bought a camera, I can now show off the gorgeous things I received from leafy-lane. Luckily being the procrasinator that I am I hadn't put away anything so everything was close at hand.
So, all together now:

Lots of gorgeous papers, many of which are double sided:

Tags - I can think of so many different uses for these:

Lots of different newspaper adverts and images, plain card (v. useful always), tissue paper...

Some really cool phrases which will be really useful both to use and to get the creative juices going as inspiration:

Lots of postcards, vintage images and papery goodness. There were also a load of stamps but I'd added them to my collection before I came to take the individual photos. I think you can see them in the group photo:

Christmas papers and bits and bobs - hopefully I'll be a bit more prepared next year with this lot spuring me on. All of these papers are also double sided.

There were also lots of other bits and bobs - more papers, stickers etc. but I thought I'd give you all a rest...I have gone a little bit pic happy with my new camera Cheesy

I finally got my package from the amazing Tero! Prepare to be blown away!

Letters, sheet music, pages from a German book, comic pages, and other papery and cool stuff.

Closeup of the letters. I am SERIOUSLY in love with these, they're my favorite thing I got, I think! I've been reading through them and they're amazing <3

This picture doesn't do these goodies justice - there are pictures and game cards and play money and these AMAZING asian envelopes.

Stickers, playing cards, interesting papers, lots of cool vintage buttons, awesome beetle wings, rub-ons and tons of wonderful stamps.

But wait, there's more...

Tons of vintage books and magazines! I'm thinking of turning that All Kinds Of Ships book into a mini altered book, it's got about 15 pages so it's gonna be a low-stress project, and I love the size and weight of the pages, and the sturdiness of the cover.

I'm not done yet...

CD with pictures taken by Tero, a few extra teabags she agreed to send me like the amazing person she is, and the CUTEST little card with even MORE postage stamps spilling out!

THANKS TERO, FOR THE MOST FANTASTIC PACKAGE I COULD GET! I was seriously spoiled, you guys, pictures can't withhold the awesomeness of Tero's package. Oh, and I keep finding more little things when I open random envelopes in the package.

Speaking of stamps, Sajona included a cute little box in her swap package that had postage stamps in, and I've officially turned it into my stamp box. It's already deliciously half-full just from this swap:

Sorry I took so long to post in the gallery, guys(girls!). Here are my two packages.

From dinkime:

A few of my favorites:

From nessie:

A few of my favorites:

I love everything in both my packages. I was so pleased to receive them. They each contained things I love, things I've wanted, and things I never thought about but I now can't wait to use. Thank you so so much, dinkime and nessie. I hope you guys liked my packages as much!

By the way, does anyone else have the feeling that they just don't want to cut into all this lovely stuff to start altering? I kind of just want to stare at it all day (even though I need to finish up my inchies for the inchie swap and this could be useful! haha).
