These are my Dainty Rouge Gloves.The pattern is a modified version of “Hooray for Me” gloves (http://www.marniemaclean.com/patterns/HFMGloves/HFMGloves.html). Longer, mock-cabled cuff, and I added the convertible flap to change it into mittens.

I'm calling them my “Dainty Rogue Gloves” as an illusion to one of my favorite George Meridith quotes, “She’s a dainty rogue in porcelain,” from his novel “The Egoist.” It means she’s a rebel posing as an upright lady, and that’s totally the girl I made these for ^_^. These gloves are lovely and pretty, but slightly deceiving. When worn as a mitten, the cable runs up the middle almost like the wearer is flipping the bird Cheesy
