Long time, no post. Lately I've been working a lot on sewing a dress, blanket, and about a million hats for a table my mom was doing. But I had time to crochet this hat up. This hat has a story. For quite a while, I have pondered how to make an elephant hat. The ears, they're easy. The trunk on the other hand, could be very hard. I mentioned making a pig hat to my friend Erin, and we got to talking about my hats, and she suggested an elephant hat. Once again I pondered this, and we drew some pictures over graffiti on facebook, and the design came about. I fiddled with different ideas for it, and worked up ear and trunk patterns. I worked at it, and made this...

side view, my dad thinks it looks rude. I suppose i see his point but I love it.

And, the front view. I think it is the most exciting hat I've ever made. Comments and crits welcome, I'd love to know what all you crafters think!
