Hello everyone, so I've been pretty absent, but I received my final packages.  I loved everything I got in all three packages, and after memory card disaster, I've retook all pictures and will be posting everything her.  Smiley

Package #3

Here is a lovely notecard with the info on what she made

I love love love these hair clips, i'm wearing them right now  Grin

This is the kit that I got.  she chose this fabric because i'm a huge jim henson fan! I love it!  It is an embroidery kit.

These are three of her favorites that my partner sent me.  I've never seen the movie, I love this brand of hot coco, and this is actually one of my favorite lip glosses too! the one i have is almost out, so this came at a perfect time  Grin

These are a few extras I got, I love the owls, birds, and the note pads.

The last thing is going to come in handy when I go on the road in two weeks.  I love the colors, and it has my logo and it is a perfect fit! I also like the mock-up zune, he he.

Package #2

I got some felt and buttons to add to my stash, these are two of my favorite materials!!

Next are two  handmade journals and one ceramic bowl.  The bowl is really pretty, I don't want to use it for food, it is too nice, maybe i'll fill it with some buttons.  Smiley

Finally is some extras.  more owl goodies (can never have too many  Grin)

Package #1

I lost the original pictures that I took, so I put everything together.  the only thing missing is the book the hot zone, my boyfriend had taken it two days after I got the package and started reading it.  He finished the book, loved it, but couldn't remember where he put it when I wanted to take pictures.

here is some local art

I had a great partner, both of us ran into some things that caused us to be behind, but It was worth the wait for everything!!

So I met my partner dannispring240 yesterday. Here are the pictures of us and the wonderful package she gave me Grin

First of all, instead of doing a photo album we did a sort of scrapbook using composition books. We each bought a composition book, filled out half of it, and exchanged it. For the second package, we will be filling out the other half of each other's books before giving them back. Here is the one i received today:

Here are the local items which include a donut from a family owned donut shop, a calendar from a family owned chinese restaurant, and yarn from a local yarn shop

Favorite items, which include fave chocolate, fave holiday, and fave color

And just because we both like reading, we exchanged books (both of them kind of...well..sexual in nature lol but they are not pornographic!)

And some extras she threw in just because Grin

Oh! And of course to prove that we actually met....

Here we are at Ben & Jerry's with our matching hats!
(Danni is on the left with the blue hat, and I'm on the right with the pink hat)

I received today or I went to the postoffice to get my package. And it is yayness! ^^

I already feel spoiled. I'm sorry about the not so good pictures, I was in a fight with my camera.

First a pic of the hole punch:

The letter was in a bright red envelop and the letter it self was a giant postcard that looked like this:

Her scrapbook, filled with a lot of wonderful pictures telling a lot about her, family and friends. She decorated the front and back with clippings of stuff she likes:

Local stuff:
A ton of little handmade envelopes made from pictures of English countryside:

Two postcards telling a little of two old costums in Wales, the dress and the lovespoon:

Then she got me a lovespoon Cheesy that means she want to marry me, according to the postcard.

Then she also got me a little pendant of the Welsh dragon. Super cute:

As for her favorite things she send a bag of candy and a snack. I don't dare open the snacky ones quite yet, but the aero bubbles are awefully dangerous *yummy*

And a little starters kit to macrame and a bracelet. I've tried it several times before and it is quite fun^^

A cow, as she loooves cows*giggles*:

And two books. Bront and a book with Welsh fairytales. And FYI Wondra, I LOVE books - and especially second hand ones ^^ I've always wanted to read Bront but never gotten around to doing it, so yayness. And for the fairytales, yeah, I've read a lot of fairytales both Norse and Gaelic over the years. I even wrote a big paper on the Irish Tan. So more reading for me! Cheesy

So all in all I've gotten a killer package. I love all the local stuff and now I just want to go to Wales even more. Le sigh. Great stuff Wondra! Now I'm just getting a little afraid my package is too pewny Wink

Now I share the awesome package that Cheebz sent me.  Cheesy

Big box with tons and tons of newspaper, including the funnies!

ohhhh,  a Jellyfishie!  Beautiful, and deadly, he now lives above my bed. She included a note on the label that reads "Stolen From Mom" - my little ones try to steal all my plushies.  (What she likes)

A gorgeous miniature journal that has a lady from a vintage Montgomery Ward catalog.  She loves Art Deco and Fin de Siecle. I have just the thing to go in it too!  (What she likes)

What's this?  We come back to this later.

An envelope! With letter and pictures inside.

Awesome photoshop collage pictures of the very beautiful Cheebz. The lady is seriously pretty! (for the Who I am )

Mouse Ears! (Orlando, Fl - Where she is from)

Cute Magnet board with Magnet - The Magnet is board is a shuttle,  which funnily enough is close Orlando at the Space Port and near Houston we have Space Center!   The shark magnet is reference to JAWS! (where she is from)

That odd wrapped package earlier?  A gorgeous recipe jar!

With Pin-up recipe card -  I am in love with pinup girls, I actually have two in my kitchen above my sink.  Cheesy

And ingredients for bourbon balls ( minus the bourbon and corn syrup but with a sweet story about them, kisses that taste of bourbon and joy *sigh* )

I LOVE everything.  I am a very lucky girl!  I have close-ups of that gorgeous cloth too, I love it!

Thank you Cheebz, you rock!

Ok so here are the pictures from last night. These are pictures of Danni opening the package I gave her. At the time, it made sense for me to take pictures of her opening her package, kinda like at a birthday party haha. SO she will be posting the package she gave me in her post. So again, this is MY package TO Danni.

First of all, here's a pic of me and Danni waiting for a table at the sushi restaurant we went to

This is Danni + her SO

This is me + my DH

NOW on to the package!

First of all, a hefty stack of fabric, most of which are 1+ yard

Then I got her some Yarn, mostly caron simply soft

A hot glue gun, glue sticks, and some interfacing (could you believe she didnt already have her own glue gun?! lol)

Secondly, this is something Danni and I decided to do just because we both love cooking. We each made each other a "scrapbook cookbook". Here's what i made her, a simple binder with cooking mama on the cover lol

Thirdly, since it was valentine's day, I made her some blondie cakes and cup cakes in a heart shaped tin and got her some dark chocolate

Fourthly, a local yarn & fabric store is going out of business Sad but i took advantage of it and bought items for her DIY kit, and I couldn't resist making a crochet & knit caddy to go along with it and I couldn't wait til march to give it to her.
So here it is, a crochet & knit caddy with crocheted cotton compartments including a spiral hook holding compartment, it also contains a couple of plastic hooks, a small scissors, a retractable tape measure, a pair of size 8 straight needles, size 10 circular needles, and a couple of afghan/tunisian crochet hooks.

Fifthly, some more assorted supplies and items. Includes 2 local keychains since i forgot to include local items in our last package. There's also a goofy amigurumi heart for valentine's day, a random miniature safety cone that says "Fabulous!", Artist Trading Card supplies, D rings, pens, button pins, and a small bag that it was all in.

SIXTHLY, more local postcards and a wall decal about family she can put on her wall

AND FINALLY, a chocolate brown puff stitch hat

Heey all.

I received Wednesday or Thursday but haven't had the time to post pictures before now due to school. I received a wonderful package full of good and not just one starters kit but three!! Awesome^^

Here a picture of the entire package:

First the eatable goods. Two of her favorite chocolate drinks and two kinds of candy. I haven't seen the poofed rice and maiz since I was little. And I loved them back then Tongue I'm so gonna look forward to eating those!

Some super super soft yarn. I don't know what to make of these but it has to be something like a hat or a scarf so I can feel the softness all the time^^

Some beads, awesome buttons and an example of how much she likes the paper yarn I send her in the second package:

Closeup of the buttons. I love these:

The three starters kits. This one is for writing, as Wondra loves to write:

A tatting starters kit. How awesome is this?! I've been wanting to try out this for a while^^ I did however have to substitute with another not so thin yarn to begin with.

And then for the ATC starters kit. I have to confess that I actually had no idea what all that ATC was about. I didn't even know what is was Shocked But now I do^^

As you see on the picture she also made me an ATC. It's adorable and in the holiday theme:

She also made these adorable cards:

A sweet necklace:

Unfortunately there was a great hole in the package so I really hope nothing had fallen out of it in the mail.

But thank you so so much Wondra. It has been really fun to get to know a little more about a partner than usual .... it just made the crafting for you more fun^^

It was a cold and wet night, our heroine was returning home from a long day at work, tired brainsore and weary, she came into the house and her mood was instantly lifted by a ray of sunshine from Seville. I got my package from Phizzychick today.

it is fabulous and I adore everything, so in no particular order. She sent some great photos of Seville and the cathedral, a beautiful bookmark of some of the floor tiles, some yummy (strawberry ) smelling tea (I sent her tea too!!) from her local shop, A gorgeous little ceramic framed mirror, also made locally.

They have a tradtion there of Navidad (Hope I have spelled that correctly, brain completely fried today!) where they have a float and they give out candy, so she sent me a christmas decoration which is so adorable and candy, of which not a lot left as my daughter has got her hands on it.

She also sent this gorgeous piece of art, its a double sided heart shaped hanging piece of art, i love it. Isn't it gorgeous.

and my very very favourite thing, my daughter I are totally wowed by it, she made and bound an entire book about her favourite things. I adore Phizzychicks art work and am completely stoked at this.

this is my favourite page from inside

and a couple more pages.

Thanks Phizz

Dannispring240 and I exchanged our final packages last night. We went on yet another double date and had a fabulous time! But what was even more fabulous, is all the wonderful things Danni gave me! This time I got it correct and took pictures of the package I RECEIVED, not the package I gave, haha. Grin Anyway, on to the loot!
(I took half the pictures yesterday and half the pictures today since I wanted to take better pictures of certain items)

First off, some more yarn (I can NEVER have enough yarn!) and 4 granny squares to add to the afghan I am collecting squares for

An ultra cute bag with matching zipper pouch and fabric coasters

a baggie full of knitting stitch markers, clip on flowers (which can be worn in my hair OR on one of my many hats), cupcake toppers with various messages, a magnetic picture frame, and a weekly dinner planner with magnet for my fridge

Closer pictures of the stitch markers, there are 20 in all and came with a ring to attach it to my WIP bag

A GIANT ziplock bag of scrapbooking supplies for my DIY kit (the thing literally weighed 3 or 4 pounds!)

Here is what was inside of that giant bag

And last but DEFINITELY not least...HIS AND HER MONSTER BEANIES!! Modeled by my dorky husband and myself Grin

Thanks Danni for everything! I enjoyed swapping with you and I feel like I've truly made a great friendship with you and I know we will be hanging out and personal swapping far beyond this swap! Thanks again. Grin

Okay...Now for the long awaited photos of my package from pseudo_pix! Smiley

SO much fun stuff! The best is an illustrated book from pseudo's city. There were loads of postcards including a postcard of the Queen and King of Denmark and a giant statue of a boy that totally creeps me out. There's also a gorgeous Arabian scarf (there are a lot of ethnicities around her city from what I understand), a box of Legos (which are made in Denmark), a plastic kitty (we're both mad about our cats) and a tub of cotton candy that...um...didn't make it past my husband. Smiley Also, there's a pair of FABULOUS earrings plus pseudo's fav hot chocolate and fav tea.

The tea and hot chocolate. I haven't tried them yet but pseudo says I should try the tea with honey. Yum.

Lots of postcards! The Boy freaks me out. There's a picture of him in the book as well and he looks HUGE in real life.

These postcards look vintage. I've got a small collection of postcards that they're going to be joining.

The kitty and the earrings. I love that the earrings are from Acessorize! Smiley

Legos and the scarf. You can't see it but the scarf if super thin and sparkly.

There are post-it notes through the book to point out places near pseudo and what certain things are. Luckily, some of the text is repeated in English. For everything else, there's babelfish. Wink

Thanks again, pseudo_pix! I had a great time learning about Arhus, Denmark and you! Smiley

I received package 2 from tazzsangel19 today. While I was loading pics I realized I never posted package one. So, first up is package one!

A cool accordian style photo album with pics of her and her family:

Favorite were two kinds of candies, which were eating immediately, and some green chai tea in a cute pouch she made:

Locals were a shot glass, a wood rose from the local fair, and two locally made soaps that are already being used in the bathroom:

Now for package two!!! Most of it came, but the what I do best is still in the making and coming soon.

For my stash she sent fabric (the green and pink match my girls' room, so I will do something for them with it!):

Papers for ATCs:

And some beads and findings (I will be making some wine glass charms with the hoops!):

She also made me a crocheted scissor cozy and knitted pincushion (which I LOVE!! great colors!):
