I recieved jmkc83's package today and it. was. AWESOME! Seriously! I took a crapload of pics, so get ready!

The overall spread!

Stickers and buttons with quotes from "Elizabethtown" and "The Godfather"!

A (I think) paper folded wallet with 'Rent'...

A necklace with the two main characters from Elizabethtown (2 sided)...

An oversized T-shirt, perfect for sleeping! Elizabethtown stenciled on the bottom...

The red hat Kirsten wears in Elizabethtown (I've always wanted it! excuse the bed head!  Cheesy)

And now for the craziest part!! My brother and I have been thinking about heading down to Kansas City before the end of the summer to visit some close friends. Jmkc83, who happens to live in Kansas City (I had no idea), made me a beautifully-done road trip guide (themed after the one in Elizabethtown) down to her favorite craft store in Kansas City with amazing stops along the way, including sand dunes in Indiana, camp grounds (and I've been wanting go camping!), the home of Abraham Lincoln, the St. Louis Arch, and much more! If there was any sign I should go to Kansas City this summer, I think this was it! Here's some of the pics...

Thanks so much, jmkc83! I love everything and I'll definetly use it all!  Cheesy

Since I know that yoyowa is anxious for me to post pictures of the wonderful package she sent, I will post them now.  Grin

I couldn't believe how many wonderful things there were in this swap package. I kept pulling more and more crafted goodness out of the bottomless box.

My four favorite movies were Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cannibal the Musical, Dogma, and This is Spinal Tap.

On to the picture overload!!!

One of my favorite items- a handmade Brad doll with two outfits!! I love this because when I was in high school, my friends and I would watch RHPS show all the time and we each had a "part" I was Brad, and I had all of my lines memorized Tongue Yeah, I am a dork. But this doll is soo cool.
Boring everyday Brad, in boxer shorts and a white tank top

Fun, sexy Brad in fishnets, and a corset. This picture doesn't show the detail very well, but the corset is very well made and matches the bag and eye mask below!

A survival kit for a midnight showing of RHPS. Inside is a bunch of stuff to use during the movie, and directions on how to use it. Since, they don't have these showings here, I may have to recreate it on my own.

A wonderful stenciled t-shirt with Dr. Frankenfurter. I love this shirt, and I can't wait to wear it!

Next is a handpainted picture frame and some candy lipstick

A decoupaged plate and mini lunch box

Some polymer clay pendants inspired by RHPS.

RHPS inspired zippered tote and eye mask.

Handmade journals. The Cannibal the Musical one (Large dark brown one) and the Dogma (small, light brown one) are both hand bound. I love them both!
My favorite is the Dogma one, it has the "carpenter and the walrus" speech that Loki gives in the airport!!

Since, I am from Wisconsin, I found it hilarious that Bartelby and Loki were banished to Wisconsin. Yoyowa made me a stenciled t-shirt to show off that home state pride :-)

And last, but not least, is a decorated Spinal Tap box with my favorite quote from the movie on the inside!

Whew, I think that is everything. Thank you so much yoyowa!! I love it all!!!! and if you have any better detail shots, please post them!

my partner got her swap today..now I am Gah does she like it ....I hate this part....

FEAR NOT! I loved it all! Its amazing and you managed to completely get my eclectic style!

My movies were (in no real order, they're all equal):
1. Little Women (ONLY the 90s version with Kirsten Dunst and Susan Sarandon)
2. Hairspray
3. Pride and Prejudice
4. Bridget Jones' Diary
Which are all VERY hard movies to craft for, so kudos babalina!

Here it is! Smiley

A very sixties purse with a record on it. Very cute and very nice for the beach season! Inside was....

a hairspray photo album! I AM tracy turnblad...sound like, act like, sing like and dance like her.  There was also....

CANDY! I'm a fat girl, loud and proud, and I love me some munchies, lol. All very good movie foods and POP ROCKS!!! AMAZING. I want to get the prize out of the cracker jack box but I'm trying to resist. And surprisingly they all came in great shape! (not one broken pixie stick! though the york was slightly melted but i threw it in the fridge)

Next was:

A little women framed thingy...don't know what to call it exactly. Its the movie art and th e dvd framed. Is the dvd real? Is it glued down on there? It looks differant from the dvd I have, have any good special features? lol

then I saw this!

Its a very cute box with pride and prejudice written on the top and various quotes around the sides (tried to get a good pic of those but my camera hates me). This box PERFECTLY matches my room. My bedspread (seen in various pics) is white with red - here's a bad pic of my bed:

and I recently made these:

so its PERFECT! I think babalina did a little crafty detective work! Either that or she had some pure luck! lol

As if that wasn't enough I open the box:

a copy of the book, which is great because mine was a VERY cheap 99 cent buy and has fallen apart.

a very cute painted tin, which I'm assuming had a previous life as an altoids tin. If felt awfully heavy so I opened it and...

magnets! I don't actually have marble magnets! I was so excited and I have a mini fridge in my craft room so its perfect. The picture is a horrible shot of them (I tried taking a pic 6 times and none of them came out good so I gave up). There's 12 of them, featureing Pemberly, Mr. Darcy, Lizzie and the Bennets.

And last, but not least, i got this!

a copy of the script! With copied (I'm assuming) signatures of some of the actors - Judi Drench, Keira Knightly and I can't make out the other one, lol.

So this was an amazing package and an amazing swap. To top it off I got an early present from my grandmother today (my bday is a week from today! Smiley I'll be 20, which you'd never guess from my favorite movies. I have the same taste as my 48 year old mother) and got the Mama Mia soundtrack, which I'm seeing Saturday  with my mom and grandmother (my mom and I share a crush on colin firth. and of course I'm seeing The Dark Knight Sunday with my bro - I also have a thing for christian bale (he'll always be laurie from Little Women to me).

I'll hopefully be updating feedbacks tomorrow by the way.

again, THANK YOU babalina. You are amazing. You fretted for nothing! (I told her I've had issues with partner previously - lots of flaking so she wanted to make sure I'd love it - AND I DO!)

Okay, wist-ing buttons ready?  Check out the fabulousness that I received from ohyouprettythings!!

The group:

Awesome, super-detailed, fantastic Gryffindor Bag:

Detail of the seal (see the awesome shading?!):

Delicious HP Bracelet with Books 1-7 in order (totally inspired by one of my wists, I'm sure) and the great little box it came in - she decorated the lid:

The bracelet on (excuse the hairy wrists!):
I love that the sides are white - they look like real, tiny books.

The mandrake luck charm (from the movie Pan's Labyrinth):
The detail on this is great, but I just couldn't capture it on my camera.

HP Stickers!!  She made these!

And finally, le peice de resistance, a Jack Skellington bracelet/necklace stand!  He is a bit wobbly as he is top heavy, but DH and I are brainstorming on a fix.  He is going to stand guard in my guest/craft/office room and will adorn our haunted doll house in October:

Isn't he faboo?  A closeup of his face.  See all the detail?!

Thank you so, so much ohyouprettythings!  I hope all my swap partners are as wonderful as you!!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that she apologized for the overload of HP and lack of Dark Crystal items.  Well, you need not worry.  I appreciate every single bit of my package and it's [email protected]@

RHPS wall hanging. She wrapped it in a fishnet stocking, which was a lovely touch!

An amazing slytherin scarf (see the little button snake?). Ive always wanted someone to make me a scarf, so I was stoked on this. Adorable!!!

Tasty treats that will be gone before the end of the day. Somehow she figured out that my favorite flavors are pomegranate and mango...crafty girl...and tea! One of my many obsessions.

She also included some movie info and a very cute drawing of Harry Potter and Dobby. Sorry for all the pictures, but I was very excited. Thanks, Mary. You've been lovely!!!

Alright, I received from jpoparock today!  Everything is beyond amazing, and don't worry, I'm posting tons of photos.

Here's everything minus a few chup-a-chups that my sister and I already devoured:

A keychain with Renton from Trainspotting:

Amazing little pictures of the whole Trainspotting crew that I LOVE:

My favorite one:

A journal with the entire Choose Life quote, also from Trainspotting:

This is so cool, and bound really well (I attempted ((and failed)) to show that in this photo):

An SLC Punk Dotee Doll!  The little plastic tag on it says SLC Punk:

A Rushmore painting!  So amazing, I adore it:

The COOLEST shirt EVER; not just because it's got a completely amazing stencil of Brian Slade from Velvet Goldmine, but also because it's not just your average T-shirt.  Close up:

And action shot!  See?  How amazing is this shirt?  It has the best collar/sleeves/neckline ever.  EVER:

<sarcasm>Don't bother telling me how cute my face is, I know.</sarcasm>

Sooo pretty much jpoparock spoiled the heck out of me, and I adore everything.  Thanks so so much!

Hey all! So here is the absolutely amazing package from the absolutely amazing ThatsWhatSheSaid....

First, the whole Shebang...lets just marvel in awe, shall we?

I put up this American Beauty switchplate the second I recieved it and had to take it down for photos. I had put it up in my dressing room and that was far too messy to take a photo of:

Here are the fabulous rose petal stitch markers! For anyone who never saw American Beauty, the rose is a major theme in the film.

Some flower hair pins...I <3 hair pins!

Rose soaps!!! So cool! They look so pretty in my bathroom, I think I may have to take a picture when I get home so everyone can see!

Here is a close up!

She also sent three of these incredible hand towels. They are knitted with a rose on them, I tried so hard to get a picture, but nothing was showing the details quite right, so these are the best I have (Dana, if you have better ones, or a drawing of the pattern, please post)

And an attempt at a detailed shot of the rose bud:

This is my favourite, hands down! I used to have a movie theatre lobby display from Moulin Rouge in my apartment, but it was just too big so I sent it to my parents home. That left literally a day before this amazing package came. I consider it a sign:

Its incredible! It is hand painted, and so subtle and it really suits my space!

There is also another item, but the picture wasn't uploaded properly. I will post it as soon as I can!

Thank you Dana!!!! I love everything!!!

my favorite movies were- girl, interrupted, saved!, the breakfast club, and forrest gump.
bittersweet_symphonies made me a purse in my favorite colors!  which is awesome because i've been on the lookout for a new purse- but not anymore!  she said this was her first fully constructed purse ever- but i wouldn't have known if she hadn't told me!

already being put to use.

she made felt sushi from the sushi @ lunch scene in breakfast club

a box of chocolates from forrest gump.  only slightly melted!
but i didn't take a picture of them...
and magnets from all the movies!  i love magnets- can't wait 'till i move back to school and can put them on my refrigerator because they have no where to go right now.

and a tshirt w/ a line from girl, interrupted- "what's your diag-nonsense" and a picture of lisa w/ her creepy puppet thing.  my friend is going to be so jealous of the shirt...

I received an AMAZING package today from Rae-mazing!! This was her first swap and she was like an old pro at it. I can't say enough nice things about her. She really spoiled me and made me things that I absolutely love. Thank you!!!

First, a tote with a lyric from "New Slang" by The Shins from Garden State. I love purple and I love the colors that she chose and the design on the bottom. Super impressive.

The lining is awesome too. Love polka dots!!

Next is an eye ball pin cushion and a bee pin from the scene in Election where Matthew Broderick gets stung by the bee. So creative! I love it.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3125/2669184567_5957b3ff8b.jpg?v=0

Also very inventive: She made me a two sided apron with Pick Flick cupcakes on them. Based on the cupcakes from Election. I wanted an apron really badly too. In my favorite colors: purple and yellow.

I was bummed I missed the Juno swap so I put it down as one of my faves and she made me two things: a note nook and cute little pouch.

And from A League of Their Own: A pouch with "There's no crying in baseball" I love the quote and I love the pouch!
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/2669184553_27cf264105.jpg?v=0

And for good measure, a movie ticket box. I'm impressed with her painting skills. I think I might start saving stubs in here Smiley

Thank you again!! I love everything!!

Well, since babalina has received her package, I guess it's safe to post what I crafted her.

Her favorite movie was Fried Green Tomatoes and I loved the idea of Ninny's rose garden.  Babalina told me she would like things for her craft room, so I took the rose garden theme and ran with it!  Here's the goodies:

The group together.

A rose-covered bulletin board to pin her inspirations to:

A journal for swaps and some notecards to include in packages:

A WIP bag with the journal and cards popping out:

Finally, my favorite, a rose-y storage box.  The rose on the lid is actually a little knob!

I really hope this stuff works in her craft room!
