Well Aroha's arrived home safe and apparntly Elizabeth has too. Yay Cheesy

Heres the stuff Aroha brought home with her

it broke, and Im not sure what it is, anyone able to enlighten me?

(sideways) bit like this, whats this? and does it attatch to the above unknown item?

postcards Cheesy

Terrance turtle, hes in my old fish bowl beside me at the moment Wink always wanted a pet turtle

bracelet thingy

coins, which are really light lol (showed my Mum, who's a banker, and she kept playing with them Roll Eyes)

mini flag

hackysack/footbag

cute wee bag with a blanket and pillow inside

really really really yummy candy Cheesy

all in all it was a fun swap, I got some funny looks when I took Elizabeth out of my handbag and perched her on things... like the Moa at the Bealey lol, but I had fun Cheesy
Ill have to post some pics of Elizabeths clothes if they dont get posted, they took me ages to stitch and I got alot of comments on them Grin (even wee sneakers with shoe laces)

Ok, and now for some scrapbook shots!

Reserved Cheesy

lol, all Aroha's stuff is bigger than she is!

SHES HERE!!!!
Well when I saw the postman come in this morning I wasnt long out of bed and in my PJs and was banned from going outside in bare feet ( Roll Eyes) in case I get sick (my Ops in about 10 days and if Im sick they wont do it) so I had to wait (!!!!!!) until my SO was finished his battle... Im not sure what with, he was on Warcraft.
Sure enough it was Elizabeth!! yay!! Took her a week to get here (and yet Aroha who was sent last month is still floating around... stupid NZ Post)
She came with candy (yay) but was a bit worse for wear, poor chick, her heads a wee bit torn as is her shirt, but thats ok, have cotton (well floss to be exact) will fix.
Onto the pics (theres not many outside ones - I got busted being outside in bare feet Embarrassed I forgot oops)

the awesome box

]
Look how tight shes in there, bet she was glad to stretch!

heehee, I love this shirt, my SO needs one

]
ohh bugger... thats ok, I can fix that

I can fix that too!

Elizabeth meeting Vodka (the white one) and Coke (the gold one)

Checking out the late Autumn/ early Winter backyard, NZ is mostly Evergreen natives so most of out trees dont turn, so only the plum tree will really change season to season

she was somewhat amused by the fact my strawberry plant was still producing strawberries, alot of them have been rotted (or eaten) due to the storm we had for the last week, but thats ok

SUNDAY 4TH MAY (NZ time)
Well today we (Elizabeth, my SO and myself) went to my parent house in Dobson (otherside of the river) and checked out the puppies my Dads spoilt dog, Ren, had on Wednesday (IN my parents bed, not on it, but IN it Cheesy)
Plus we checked out the campervan and I showed her the chooks and Mascobes (a type of duck, pure white like geese with a red thingy on the beak) Anyway, enough rambling, onto the pics

Arent the puppes cute? Theres 5 of these wee things

Elizabeth making a cuppa while in the campervan

Checking out the sleeping space

thats the bathroom - toilet handbasin and shower

The microwave Cheesy

having a look at the greenhouse plants

Elizabeth and the tomato stalk

this is what a mascobe looks like

Ohh look mushrooms (do not eat them though ok)

The grapevine, no grapes though

SUNDAY 11 MAY (NZ TIME)

Well I finally got up Coal Creek falls, its a huuuge walk, an hour total up and down hills Roll Eyes

This is one of the smaller falls, we were both a bit worried Id fall in (Im clumsy)

but heres the main fall, it was worth the walk, neither SO or I had seen it before so that was pretty cool

so thats about a 2 hour walk from my house, not bad

SUNDAY 25 MAY (NZ TIME)

Well we went out to Punikaiki yesterday and had lunch and a look around, so this is Elizabeth out over looking Punikaiki beach and out over the sea Cheesy

this wee fella is a Weka who decided he wanted some of our lunch! Some naughty tourists had obviously fed him before (boo hiss, thats bad and you can kill them doing that Angry) so he wasnt the least bit frightened of our car or us (not good, as they are flightless so if someone wanted to hurt him he wouldnt even run away Undecided)
but it was still pretty cool having a weka so close to the car.

and here are the famous pancake rocks, if Id gotten there when the light was good you would see what looks like thousands of pancakes stacked one on top of another, and if wed gone during a storm I would have action shots of the blowholes, but it was warm(ish) and fine (dont worry craftgirl_sampson, one of the things I got for you at the gift shop was an in action shot of the blowholes Cheesy)

Beginning

Super Monkey just before getting packed up and sent off to New Jersey!!
And now eagerly awaiting the arrival of Miss Beatrix!!!

22nd April
Wayhay, Mr Postie brought a package from the US this morning and guess who was inside, Beatrix!!! Wedgehead was very curious to see what was inside... (NOTE: Click on the thumbnails to view larger)

Beatrix was very sleepy and a little reluctant to come out of her box at first but then she showed me all the loverly gifts she had brought! Lots of scrummy chocolates for her hostess Grin (I may let Mr FruityLoops have a few I suppose if he's good), some gardening gloves, and some cool little [see/hear/speak no evil] monkey magnetic bookmarks which match the monkeys we have that like to hang off our shelves, they had to come and see for themselves. Aaaand she brought her favourite bubbles with her which I hope we can play with later on when the sun has come out!!

If Beatrix had come a half hour earlier she could have helped me pot some flowers that just came in the post earlier today but there will be plenty of other opportunities as I have lots of veggies growing in the mini greenhouse that will be ready to plant out in a week or two Cheesy

She tried to watch some tv with the boys (Wedge and Jeero) but she was feeling a little shy and decided that snooker wasn't her cup of tea, so she went for a ride on our sofa catzebra Wibble instead along with Kung Fu Jo and Chip.

After all that and her long journey (even though she arrived super quick!) Beatrix was all tuckered out so she's now having a kip on our giant beanbag

23rd April
Today Beatrix has been busy helping me to do a bit of gardening (on my lunchbreak honest), and has been out to support our tenpin bowling team in Wednesday Pairs, and we won 6-2, yey!!

I had no idea that bears could climb canes so well, I turned my back for a couple of minutes and she had shimmied up a cane to see my climber plants Shocked

Unfortunately back in the office tomorrow, but Beatrix said she would come and keep me company Cheesy

25th April
OK so I was off sick yesterday so Beatrix had to spend the day home with me but she did look after me and gave me lots of hugs Smiley

Today she came to work with me, and as usual the most important part of every working day is any time that is food time! This morning she tried some mangetout with feta hummus, yummy yummy, she was a little anxious at first but gave it a try. For lunch we went up the corner shop and she picked out some ready salted crisps, a bit naughty but I said she could have them if she carried them back to the office... which proved a little more difficult!

29th April
Didn't do a huge amount over the weekend, mainly some crafting, Beatrix wanted to help me with my first jewellery project as she said she had some experience in that area. She even helped with some sewing too but didn't last long before she started playing with my supplies instead. Then she helped me cook up a nice stir fry for our tea, yuuuuuum.

Yesterday we were back in the office and I was glad I brought Beatrix with me as we had some thunderstorms so she needed a good hug or two. After work we popped out into the rain and finally posted the contract back to Beth!

2nd May
Well since our camera suddenly broke (seriously odd noises emanating from it Undecided) we had to make an impromptu trip to Argos to pick up a new one. Since it was mainly so that I could keep snapping piccies of Beatrix she thought it only fair she helped me get it set up! (Pic obv taken with camera phone)

And here's Beatrix having a bit of fun disco dancing at the new camera!

4th May

The main events of the weekend included making a big apple and strawberry crumble (which of course Beatrix was happy to help make as she loves cooking) and going round to see Mr Loops' parents as it was Ma of Mr Loops' birthday Cheesy

7th May

The highlight of Beatrix' week was going to work at the Mr Loops family scrap metal business, she said she had a brilliant time being shown around and was even taught how to drive a forklift and a crane by Mr Loops' brother!!

8th May

Today we had to go over to the main office in Wales (we work at the same company) as Mr Loops took the rather rash decision of quitting his job to become self-employed and needed to speak to the Director some more Shocked Beatrix at least enjoyed the trip over the border, especially going over the Severn bridge.

10th May

Weeee, trip to Gloucester at the weekend for a bit of shopping and sight-seeing. The main attractions for Beatrix were going to Gloucester Cathedral where parts of the Harry Potter films were filmed (and insisted on looking like King Kong on the piccie!), and going to the Tailor of Gloucester museum and shop which is the building that Beatrix Potter based her book on.

Then back home to do some gardening (or rather I did the gardening and Beatrix lounged in a hammock!) before we went over to see Mr Loops' folks to have some chinese food and lots of alcohol!!

I probably shouldn't have given her such a large glass of alcohol, it was sangria but pretty heavy on the wine!

Don't worry, she did have a bit of a hangover but I made sure she had lots and lots of water and she feels much better now Cheesy

16th May

Took the day off work and had a girly shopping trip to Swindon and Cirencester with Beatrix and my mate Kerry!

Beatrix having a sneaky play in the kids play area! Some people in the coffee shop behind found it highly amusing for some reason, but they were more than happy to wave when Beatrix waved at them.

20th May

Observe Egbert showing what a bad loser he is! Beatrix got the hang of tetris on the xbox all to quick and the others were rather perturbed (I think mostly because she's a girl, but you and I both know girls are better at everything!)!!

24th May

Yes, my proof that I made Beatrix sit through Eurovision... all the way through...! It did take a little asti to convince her to sit through the scoring though Roll Eyes Here she is with Arnold, enjoying the UK entry!

26th May

We had planned to take Beatrix to the famous Cheltenham Cheese Rolling today but the gale force winds and rain were so bad that we stayed in and made our own mini version!!

(See Beatrix' blog for more piccies and a bigger version of the cheese rolling animation!)

9th July

A few piccies to end the swap, I shall updating the blog with the more picture early next week probably when Beatrix is closer to home

A few piccies from my 20s themed birthday bbq

Beatrix in her flapper outfit that I made and dyed and headdress that I also made

Me in my matching homemade flapper outfit and headdress (and a wig incidentally, that's not my own hair), looking a bit wide tbh! Embarrassed

A couple of my well dressed guests! Matt and Amy

At work saying a tentative hi to Sammy the dog

And in front of one of the local pubs, the Black Bear. There is also a White Bear, and Beatrix wants to know why there's no Blue Bear pub!

And finally a couple of goodbye shots. Beatrix saying goodbye to Bush Baby who she'd become very fond of.

And with the whole bunch, just before going in her box to be posted

Final Piccies

Super Monkey has arrived home, yey!!!

Dumb*ss me managed to slash my finger open trying to get into the box!

Package of goodies from Bethiej78, scrapbook, cool "easy" button as Super Monkey loved the one Beth had so much she had to send him home with one (says "that was easy" and explains why the package was talking to me before I opened it!! I think it will be going to work with me today along with SM), lots of stickers, scrapbooky cards, dark choccie, mocha dark choccie, and all the photos that didn't make it into the scrapbook

Close up of the cool stickers, I think my faves are the ones on the right though unfortunately they didn't come out quite as well in the piccie as they're 3d

A few piccies of scrapbook pages (apologies for the shine, I took it outside so I wouldn't get flash showing but got reflections instead!):

Back saying hi to some of his earth monkey shelf friends

And finally Super Monkey wanted me to post a piccie for Beth of him re-united back with his best mate Kung Fu Monkey, he says thanks showing him a good time Shocked and he'll try and pop over to visit you now and again while he's out saving the world!

July 7, 2008 - Goodbye Mawson

Well, Mawson is on his way home now. It was really hard to see him go. We had a little going-away party for him though.

We also enjoyed some fireworks, but I didn't get any good pictures. I got some video, but I haven't put that up on the computer yet.

I hope that Mawson has a safe journey home. I'm going to miss him!

23/07/08: Andie arrived home today! She bounded out of the box to tell me about her trip, all full of excitement and dying to show off everything she'd brought back with her!

Scrapbook pages! Wildfyre's scrapbooking skills truly put mine to shame, this was a beautiful bit of work with so much thought put into it.

I'd never have thought of this, for example - the backing paper on this page about offroading is textured to look like mud!

These shots made me want to visit Washington myself. So beautiful. Wish the colours of the second page had come out better in this pic, they're goorgeous.

All the souvenirs together! You can't quite see everything, buried in the pile of maps and pamphlets is a "licence plate" sticker and a cuuuute otter fridge magnet. There are yummy beads from Shipwreck (see later) and a squished penny on the right (I love squished pennies!) and a pretty T-shirt from Mt Rainer on the left. Andie is sitting on the scrapbook and the other books are a collection of weird history, legends and sights from Washington and sparkly porn the catalogue from Shipwreck Beads, possibly the world's biggest bead shop. And at the back is this beauty...

I think the other stuffies found him a bit intimidating at first, he's so beautiful. So well-made, so detailed, such gorgeous fabrics, and shiny to boot! He hasn't told me his name yet, but I think it's going to have to be something impressive-sounding. I've had difficulty doing him justice in my photos but I might have another go...

Annd some photos that didn't make it into the scrapbook. There were loads of 'em, these were just a few I picked out!

Thanks for everything, Wildfyre, you've been such a great host to Andie and such an ace swap partner!

He arrived today with lots of souvenirs:

He brought lots of fiber, a felted picture (boulder at twilight), a shirt he helped to batik, cookie cutters (oh, I love making cookies for christmas), a bison bookmark, a florida magnet and shrinky dinks (really hard to get here!). Wow, I've been spoiled! Thank you so much ptarmic wumpus! Grin

Antoinette in Jena (Germany):
Antoinette arrived today!
Here a photo of her coming out of her package:

Of course she was still a bit sleepy, but the warm weather here is waking her up from her hibernation (we have 20C here, she arrived at the right time! Smiley)

Here she is looking out of my (horribly dirty) window:

All the looking around in our flat made her tired so she decided to take a nap under our fern:

Antoinette helping me crafting my mother's day present:

Antoinette came with me to the "Mensa" (don't know how this is called in English, students get food there and it's not very expensive):

But Antoinette preferred my homemade "Nussecken":

Travelling to visit my parents:

Sightseeing in my hometown:

She is looking at the "iron footbridge" here.

This weekend Antoinette went to the Wave-Gothic-Treffen in Leipzig with me.
Sightseeing in Leipzig:

Then we went to see some bands. Here is Antoinette headbanging to some heavy metal band (from Norway I think):

A rest in the park.

As you can see, Antoinette was perfectly dressed for the occasion... Wink

Here are photos of Antoinettes recent adventures:
I took Antoinette to our band meeting. She tried to play the bass:

Last week we went for a walk and had a wonderful view over Jena from one of the mountains:

On Wednesday I had to work in the computer pool and Antoinette helped me:

April 21, 2008

Rainy arrived today! She was so excited to be out of her envelope!

Here she is with the first thing she noticed- sunflower sprouts!

And she needed to freshen up, so I told her where her dressing screen was at, and managed to get a pic of her!

And then she saw some new people, and she decided it was a great time to make friends!

She then told me that she wanted me to see all the goodies she came with, so here they are!!

Lastly, she meandered about the house, and was quite confused about my husband's Warhammer 40K models... He'll have to explain them to her when he gets home!

Tonight, she and I will go through all my fabrics and notions and hopefully will be able to find the perfect materials for a new outfit to wear at the Celtic Festival this weekend!!!

************************************************************************
April 23, 2008

Rainy went to Rite Aid with me earlier for some Red Bulls and she wouldn't let me start the car without choosing some good "cruising" music- I think she likes Jack Johnson!

She also helped me get into the attic to find my most favorite door sign! Here she is happy with it being up, although she said that her family wouldn't need an appointment!

Tomorrow, we are going to the Golden Corral for a Hail and Farewell ceremony for some guys in my DH's unit- Rainy feels a little apprehensive about the outing since she'll be meeting lots of new people all at once. I think that she'll feel much better when I help her get a nice big plate of fresh veggies!! Grin

April 26, 2008

Here's Rainy admiring a black Australian swan:

April 30, 2008

I caught Rainy at my DD's easel this morning.

This afternoon (in an attempt to get away from our very annoying mutt), DD and I took Rainy to see old town from the top of the parking structure at the hospital. She was quite impressed with our opera house! We'll have to take her to see it up close this weekend!

MAJOR GRIZZLY IS HOME!!

(I'll post a few pics here today, and then thumbnail the rest tomorrow!)

My daughter was excited to see him again!

The Major looks like he's ready to settle down, as he brought Aurora home with him!!

Rainy's little sister came as well, which is fine with all of us! She's been a little bit shy, but I think I'll take her around town tomorrow and show her some sights her big sister saw!

The front of the scrapbook

Some of the pictures! Love the Army men!

He's out of uniform, but that's ok! He looks so handsome in those hats! Smiley

We also got an autograph book!!

My favorite page

HEHE! The Major is something else!

I guess Donald doesn't care! LOL!

I'll post more pics tomorrow! This was all very exciting, and the Major can't keep his hands off of Aurora, so I think I'll leave him and her alone for the evening! Cheesy

Thank you, FicklePegasus, so showing my handsome bear a great time!

MISS BEATRIX IS HOME!!!

Miss Beatrix arrived yesterday, but they made me sign for the package so I couldn't get her until today! But I'm sure she wasn't lonely waiting for me because she brought home a friend, and so much more! Loops this is an AMAZING package. I now feel my package was crap. And might be sending something a little supplementary as a feeble attempt to reach your level of greatness!

Here come pics!!!

The total lot (please note Miss B in the back in her awesome new sleeping bag and hat):

A beautiful scarf from the Cotswolds:

Lots of yummy looking foodies (I already ate the marshmallow bit!):

Brochures, a neat calendar, and an ADORABLE coffee wristlet/clutch:

Puzzles, postcards, keychains, cookbook:

Lovely keychain and coin purse from the Tailor of Gloucester museum:

And of course, the amazing scrapbook!! Loops I CANNOT believe this was your first scrapbook!:

Thanks for an AMAZING swap Ms. Loops. You and MR took great care of Miss B, and she will treasure her memories for a lifetime. Best of all, she is now "Miss Beatrix, World Traveler" rather than "Miss Beatrix, gift from former best friend!" A much happier history! THANK YOU!!

~May 25th~

Last night my Mom and I had tickets to see American Ballet Theater perform the ballet "Le Corsaire" at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. So we smuggled Super Monkey into the theater in my purse, and he had a blast!

Here's Super Monkey inside the Met, sitting on the balcony right in front of our seats:

Reading the Playbill to figure out the (as a general rule) convoluted ballet plot:

Some of the cool lights at the Met:

More pics, as always, on the blog!

~May 11th~

Super Monkey and I had an exciting weekend, to make up for the crappy last week. Last night I took him to a party, and here are a few of the highlights (as always, more on the blog).

Picking out what to drink:

Getting some lovin from my friend Danielle:

Riding my friend Mike trying not to get an FWI (flying while intoxicated!!)

Then today we went on a hike and picnic with my family to celebrate Mother's Day.

Hanging out in a tree:

On the picnic blanket pigging out:

The trail we hiked:

~May 7th~

I have been feeling sick for the past few days, so Super Monkey and I haven't been doing much. Here we are having some noodle soup - the ultimate comfort food!

~APRIL 29th~

Today was a busy day for Super Monkey!! His bio told me (as did SM himself) one of his favorite activities is kickboxing. Lucky for him I just so happen to take a kickboxing class every Tuesday at 6am! Here we are arriving at the gym, still a littly sleepy, since we had to get up at 5am to get there on time.

My instructor was so excited to have a new student!

She even gave him some personal instruction (that's him in the back!)

Later at work, he hung out in my cubicle:

And held a meeting in the boardroom:

The day ended with dinner at a Mexican restaurant with my friend Anne:

Many more pictures of today's adventures at work on the blog: SM Blog

~APRIL 26th~

Today was an average day for me, not too exciting for Super Monkey. In the morning I set about making a fruit smoothie for me and SM for breakfast. He got impatient while I was chopping the fruit, and stole my strawberries (see that guilty look in his eyes?)

But then when I explained he would get some of the smoothie when it was finished he gave them back, but told me to hurry it up he was hungry! When I finally gave him the smoothie he enjoyed it very much, and the cool sake glass I served it to him in...

After that we took a ride to one of my favorite local parks, so that I could get some exercise! Here we are driving there (SM claimed this as his spot while driving so that he can keep his eye on the road AND me!):

SuperMonkey doesn't care for walking, he'd rather fly around, so while I walked he flew for awhile and then was intrigued by the dog park at my park, and silently observed from the car:

More pics on the blog, including pics of the beautiful park I took him to: SM Blog

~APRIL 25th~

When he arrived, Super Monkey immediately flew up to my chandelier and wouldn't come back down (he thought I had stolen the box in transit and tried to kidnap him!)

It wasn't until I showed him this postcard of his home addressed to me that he finally realized I was his hostess!

Partly to break up the embarrassing moment now passed, and partly because he'd been crammed in a box all week, SM decided to take a quick flight around the world (one of his favorite activities). He likes to be like Superman and get exercise at the same time!

When he got back he was hungry so we had a snack, some of the lovely candy he brought at a hostess gift. It was delicious, and unlike anything I'd had before!

On my way home from work last night I stopped at Bed, Bath, and Beyond to buy something I had long desired - a recipe stand! Tired of getting food on my cookbooks, and having to wash my hands every time I wanted to open to the page, you know? So Super Monkey offered to use his super fast skills and put it together for me. Here's an action shot of the putting together (I'm surprised it's not blurry he was so fast!) and a shot of him modeling the finished product:

So then I immediately set about making dinner. SM hung around while I cooked. Quite literally.

When I finally tucked him in for the night he made me promise to post this pic and tell Mr and Ms Loops that he said "Goodnight!"

Here is baby smiley at the post office, he was excited to go as he almost jumped in the envelope by himself:

***GUS IN AZ!***
Sorry my life is so boring, but it's just work, work, work right now. It'll get a bit more interesting these they weeks. I promise!

May 12th

Gus helping me cook my dinner tonight. It's a form of meatloaf that didn't turn out too solid like meatloaf, but it'll be good with rice.

Here's Gus waiting with me in rush hour traffic. This is what I get to go through every single day.

May 10th

Here's Gus checking out the other LVs galleries.

May 3rd & 4th

So my mom came to visit me this past weekend and we did some interesting stuff, compared to the usual work day. We did a lot of shopping, ranging from swap meets to Joann.

At Joann's flower department

At makeup booth in the swap meet

After my mom left, we decided to stop at Sonic and enjoy a nice strawberry slush during their happy hour.

Then we felt very bad for how much food and junk we had all weekend, we decided to go work out.

Treadmill-ing

Biking

Lastly, building some muscles!

May 1st

Not too much exciting is going on. Just mostly work, work, and work. Just one picture for short update. I've been away from my cube these past few days to work in the lab. I got back today to find this:

Gus was pretty busy while I was gone. Cheesy

*****

It's been a while, but here's a small update of the past days.
Gus watching America's Next Top Model. He didn't like it. He said it was too girly.

We also watched Big Brother. This made Gus a bit happier cuz there was a guy, James, who had a pink mohawk. He felt there was some kind of similarity between them both. Smiley

Sorry if Gus was too close to the TV. He wanted the best seat in the house.

Random of picture with Boba, who wasn't too happy:

So, we had a pretty good weekend. My fiance came to town and we visited a lot of places. We did get yelled at for taking random pictures though. :/ It was fun anyways. Sorry for the picture overload.

We first went to Rocco's, a local pizza eatery:

(picture later, phone is acting up)

Then we had a ton of Eegee's, a local sandwich and slushy place. Here's Gus' favorite new food, Pizza Fries!!!

We went to the casino. I think it would have been fun if we won some money, but we only lost Sad

Lastly, here's a picture of Gus at the airport, when we took my fiance there. It was sad for me, but Gus helped. Here he is in front of the colorful cactis.

April 22nd

Gus' first car ride. I kind of had to get him out of bed really early for work. I buckled him to make sure he was safe.

Gus is examining my work phone. He was confused with the buttons and also just waiting to see what it sounded like

Gus passed out after lunch. He was pretty bored.

Tonight we're going to watch some of my favorite shows! Smiley

*****

Gus enjoying the Arizona weather and view from my balcony

Mac & Cheese!! Yum!

Mac & Cheese with broccoli? Still Yum!! (According to Gus, not just my opinion)

Boba meets Gus

Here's Gus' first night. He will get a much better bed once I make it. He's sleeping on a rolled up bed sheet. I promise that he will get a better bed.

Here is Rainy just before she was stuffed into a bubble envelope.

*************************************************************

I went downstairs to ask the office if they had a package they forgot to tell me about and sure enough, there was Major Grizzly!

After presenting me with wonderful smelling rose scented hostess gifts, he relaxed in the sun

Spoiler was curious about the new guy

Lizard just wanted to know if he was edible (after finding out he wasn't and that he wouldn't be stealing her food either, she lost interest)

*UPDATE*
Major overseeing an armwrestling match at a local mall

Major Grizzly and Red WIngs Bear before coming to work with me

What is the first thing you have to do when entering Magic Kingdom? Get your pic taken in front of Cinderella's castle, of course!

Flirting with Minnie (later on he was firting with one a my friends, too)

I'm leaving this one a little bigger because of the story behind it. I was waiting for Adventureland to openwhen I noticed a couple taking a couple bears out of their pockets and taking pics. I laughed and told them that I was glad I wasn't the only one doing the same thing today. They're from England and his mother isn't well enough to travel, so they take pics of the bears. His sister makes a scrapbook their mother. We decided that they needed a pic together.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
New pics finally!

I have to confess that the Pluto pic is my fav so far.

Major Grizzley met Stroller Pal Mickey (who has a pal mickey who has a pal mickey lol)

We went to the flower and garden show @ Epcot and ate in Germany (this pic is larger for the obvious "more cowbell" jokes Cheesy)

After enjoying the beer in Germany, he got a little silly and hid in some flowers outside Italy.

We had some watermelon soda from China

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

This is from a couple weeks ago. I'm useless when it comes to car stuff, so Major G tried to help change my blown out tire. We ended up calling a towtruck, my spare was flat too! Roll Eyes
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Rainy arrived safely last week, but I didn't get the chance to take pics til this morning.

All of her mementos and loot together- She enjoyed visiting lots of museums and art shows! Some pop rocks from a candy store that sells candy for a nickel and a little bunny friend. She also saw Kung-Fu Panda (which I haven't seen, but Rainy tells me it was great)

South Carolina mints, keychain (with sand inside, so neat!) and a shot glass (or as we call it @ WDW it's a 'toothpick holder' lol)

bigfatroses taught Rainy how to crochet! (sorry about the terrible pic)

She also made Rainy a patriotic dress for 4th of July

A really cute scrapbook of Rainy's adventures (my fav pic is the one with bigfatroses' adorable daughter, but I didn't want to post it, these are my other favs)

Thank you bigfatroses for showing Rainy around SC! Thank you kishcrafts and flowerwitch1 for organizing this great swap!

Ack! I'm such a terrible hostess! I haven't posted new pictures in ages!

Today we went to the Northwest's Largest Datsun Show.. actually I heard somewhere it might be the largest Datsun show in the entire US.. but anyway..

It required a 3 hour drive to Canby, Oregon. But it was worth it Grin

Here Andie is hanging out in the 1st place winner for "Late Model Truck". It's a Datsun NL320 and verrry rare here if anyone cares Wink And yes, thats the owner posing with her. The wheel is supposed to be off btw.. it's showing off some brakes he fabricated.

We woke Andie up early this morning..

We headed toward Eatonville, WA and went to Northwest Trek ..

We saw lots of wildlife...

April 27th

We mostly just cleaned up around the house this weekend. A lot of the projects were too messy for Andie to help with. But she did get to ride in the truck while we pruned trees and help my boyfriend spot all the limbs that needed picking up. Grin

Andie arrived last night!

Her box was a bit battered-

Andie was already meeting the locals -

Our cats Penny and Peaches were obsessed with sniffing her feet for some reason Huh

Ok, a picture of Aria before I finished her clothes and gave her a haircut.

I didn't get any pictures of her right before she left though :-( Hopefully she's almost there and Talyra can post pictures once she's arrived Smiley

Mawson is Home! After major moving dramas all my stress disappeared when I opened the package! KiwiDragons showed him a great time in Missouri!

Here's the whole lot!

My favourite of the tonnes of postcards!

Mawson modelling his special sweater, in his special beer glass!

Awsome little brag book! This is the coolest idea, a fantastic little hardcover book full of Mawson's adventures! (Difficult to photograph lol!)

Scrap book, FULL of pics!

My favourite!

Looks like he had some great adventures! Thanks for giving him such a memorable trip KiwiDragons!

20 may
Machida went to Melbourne today! He saw lots of things, here are a couple

Look out Machida! Giant Mario is going to stomp on you! We went to the Game On Exhibition, hundreds of games from pong to atari's to Wii's to arcade games, and all playable! I suck at space invaders and everyone knows because it's on a massive projector!

This is the gate to Government house. After I'd taken the pics the guard came out of the gate house and asked all about Machida and even offered to take a picture of the two of us together. How sweet!

28 May - Melbourne Zoo!
We had a great day at the zoo. Machida met some kangaroos

And we visited the platypusary. Now it might just be me but I think platypusary is one of the most hilarious words ever!

And Machida found the cutest little baby monkey!

31 May
Machida had a great time at my brother's engagement party tonight! Smooched some pretty girls too! (My lovely cousins!)

1 June - 7 June
ROAD TRIP

Helping out with the driving.

Hanging out at the Thompson River Port in Sale.

Mad BBQ skills at my in laws. Machida made us brunch!

Now I apologise but I'm going cutesie. My 2 year old has really enjoyed having Machida to visit. The other night he came to me saying "Take a photo, take a photo" so I followed him to the dining room where he had set this up.

He really seems to get this whole concept!

Guster is home! Here he is in his new Margarita cup bed.

Goodies!

All the places Guster went.

Now the scrapbook!

Miri and I were "gardening" today. I have one pot and we put random seeds in there. But wait, who is that lurking??!!

Miri redecorated the guest room. Yes, I believe leopard print should qualify as a color.

Miri arrived safe and sound!

In the guest room:

It's a little sparse right now but Miri seems like the crafty type - I'm sure she'll have it decorated in no time.

At the Mexican restaruant:

It WAS a quesadilla! Fattening.
