I hope we are not supposed to wait until we get all our stamps because I got my first one and I am in lurve!! And so I must show off!
I got my first stamp from MunLtStmpr. Bow to her mad skilz.
For starters, check out this packing material...

Then check out how what she did it on, does this not just make the ideas flow?

Because it's on a cube I got 4 prints- you can see them all in a row.

The first is a crown that says 'queen of the universe'- because I am. Then it's lamina, my user name. An A (for my last name)- I've been looking for something like this to mark me and the husband's books! And finaly my etsy store title!

I hope my macro works out well enough that you can see the detail in this. I just boggle at how tiny this is!

This totally inspired me today and I have busted out and almost finished my stamps! (That and thanks to a friend for baby sitting my 2 year old!)
Thanks MunLtStmpr!! I just want to sit and stamp it out again and again!

I received my stamp(s) from MunLtStmpr today and I'm sorry to everyone on dial up, because this stamp is so awesome I have to post three pictures to explain it.

First of all, the packaging was fun!

Look at all those stars!  They make great padding; only a couple got squished and they popped right back up with a touch.

Then, behold the fact that MunLtStmpr carved onto a rubber cube (die) for a total of FOUR stamps in one!  Four!  Four cool stamps, just for me!

Here is a mosaic to show all four carved sides.  I don't know how she carved such incredibly small details.  They are tiny.  The cube is just under an inch and she got such fine details as Jon Stewart's eyebrows and astronaut suit wrinkles.  Incredible.

Here is what they stamp like (paper tilted a bit, squares are actually square IRL):

I couldn't stop saying "wow".  All four stamps are perfect.  And she did some smart stalking, because I love all the subjects she chose, plus I now have a screen name stamp!

Thank you very much MunLtStmpr for the great stamps.  You are an incredible carver and I hope my comparatively meager skills will at least entertain you when you get your stamp!

I love this gallery!

Here is the spantabulous stamp I received from MunLtStmpr.  I finally waded thru the chaos and found it.  Cheesy  It's my new favorite stamp.

And I told our wonderful organizer that I'd post this one that I sent her.  I don't have a pic of the actual stamp, but this is the image I stamped with it.  I trimmed off the thing by the ring at the top before sending it to her.

I received this wonderful package of goodness yesterday from Raenef!  I LOVE this sailboat and the stickers and origami paper she sent.  I've been working on other stuff today, so I haven't had a chance to stamp with it yet.

Well, I found one of our digital cameras, but it was the crappy one, so I apologize in advance for the blurry images.  Also, apparently the camera believes that it is March 2005.  It does not matter how many times you reset it, it never sticks.  Meh.

Anyway, I got some totally sweet stamps!

First, we have the awesome eyes from PlumCrafty!  I love anatomical and stylized body parts.

I also got some blank cards, a pink plastic envelope, and a metal tag that says "sparkle".  What a beautiful package!

I got my other 2 on the same day!  It was a good mail day until I saw the interest statement for my student loan.  Boo!  Still, I was thrilled to get more awesome stamps.  Get ready for this.  From Raenef I received a wonderful Torchwood logo lino stamp!  It was just in time for season 2 to start here in the US.  Best. Timing. Ever.  I also got some pretty origami paper and cute stickers.

Finally, from laminathegreat I received a neato face stamp.  It is carved on 2 erasers.  It is a simple face so you can add your own things like Amy Winehouse eyeliner.  Very fun!

I had so much fun with this swap!  Hopefully my partners receive their packages soon!  I feel so bad for being late.  I just had horrific luck the last few weeks.   Undecided  I would love to stick around for round 2 if you guys will take me!

I received two wonderful packages this week!

From something_weird...

A handy little box filled with so many goodies and a GORGEOUS shell stamp!

And from our spantabulous organizer...

Two beautiful floral stamps (I left the ink pad there for size comparison.) and a whole bunch of ephemera!

Thanks to you both!  This has been such a wonderful swap!

Is it a tutu? They are excellent stamps!  Grin

I received my first set of stamps from Ms Marple. I say set, as Ms Marple spoilt me rotten and sent two! Grin Grin

This will give you a better idea of sizing. The "stained glass window" one does not cut off: that is just my rubbish imprinting in my haste to show off my splendiferous goodies (and the fact that I have only two hours sleep in the last two days from too much work)!

They are gorgeous stamps - thanks so much for sending them, Ms Marple! Kiss

I've recieved a fantastic package from PlumCrafty  Cheesy

She totally spoilt me.

Inside the cute plastic envelope was, a London pencil, three envelopes and cards, a small blue ink pad, and my wonderful stamp.

She went on to my livejournal and found one of my favourite paintings from my favourite artist, Nick Bantock. This painting is from his book 'Museum at Purgatory' and is called Utopias Map.
It's made of the pink stuff and produces a nice clear map of the possible afterlifes one can go to  Grin

Ooooh, I love the stamps you received, Sarcastra! Cheesy

I received this on Monday from Have2Craft:

My ruler is almost completely bare (overuse?) so the stamp pad gives a good idea of size. Is about 4cm x 6cm...

Isn't it just gorgeous?! Grin Grin

I've just received my stamp from Sarcastra!!! It's great, such elegant lines and I love the imagery!!

(baby hand for size comparison, couldn't resist....  Cheesy)

And here it is in action in one of my paintings (detail of, that is)...

THANK YOU so much Sarcastra, I love it and it will see a lot of use!!!  Kiss

Sarcastra also very generously included a piece of carving rubber, as I've had trouble getting hold of any and had to limit myself to erasers -- thank you so much for that, I'm really looking forward to trying out a larger design!!!  Grin  Kiss

Ms Marple: Loving the ratty stamps - so cool!

Love to Bead: that ivy stamps is so beautiful

This is the stamp I received from CraftADDchick yesterday. Isn't it just the best? As you can see I have already been playing with the possibilities... Grin

Okay, I'm really worried about love to bead, now! I hope that she's just crazy busy and not sick or injured  Huh

Since she received, I'm going to post a pic of the stamp set I sent her. It isn't a very good pic, because I carved on the printed side of the stamp (I had already drawn something else on the plain side but changed my mind...). And, I didn't save the paper where I stamped the image to check it... She said that one of her favorite artists was Vincent van Gogh, and I'm always (like now) wrapped in a blanket that has Starry Night printed on it, so I tried to imitate a swirl from the painting. Then, I made some companion stamps...

And, while I'm at it, this is the set I sent to balkandina. I saw a similar image in a magazine and this is my version of it...

Remember... I'm just a beginner... Wink

Balkandina, all your stamps are amazing, my favourite has to be the skull-heart one, I'm really coveting it! Wink

I received a super package from something_wierd this morning in the mail. Not only did I receive a stamp, I am now the proud owner of an entire care package! This is the package that arrive (note the little stamp on the brown paper wrapper):

And here is the beautiful stamp (with obligatory ink pad "ruler"). Its so elegant, I just love it! Grin

Thanks so much, something_wierd!

I have been super lucky with all my partners in this swap, thank you all so much for your gorgeous stamps, and thank you Balkandina for organising the swap! Grin

I'm really really loving all of the stamps, you guys are all just so awesome.

I finally got a picture of all three (four, thanks to the wonderful MsMarple). I unfortunately did a horrible print job on them and I'm going to blame it on my brand new ink pad, don't you just love the blue tinge everything has now?  Tongue.

I love each and every one of my stamps. I've got a poject I'm thinking of using the crows on right away and the rattie foot prints are going on some cards to some friends and I've got to work in my ivy stamp on something with lots of flowing lines.
My crows are 3"x4", the Ivy is 3"x3 1/4" The rat feet are 1 1/4"x1 3/4" and the rat is 2"x1 1/2"

Thank you so much my wonderful partners!
