I saw a similar project in a book the other day, so I took the idea and ran with it... here are my cheap-o $6 Big Lots gardening clogs, revamped and ready to get dirty..

Tutorial on my BLOG.

WARNING: these are super easy and totally addictive, I've already bought 4 new pairs...

can anyone think of a "manly" design i could put on these?  my friend ALWAYS wears crocs and this would make an awesome present!  he's 30 yrs old, works with computers, kind of a nerd... oh, and he plans to be a priest some day!!  maybe i could get blue ones and put some kind of cross on them?
Perhaps a fleur di lis? Like these:

there are ton's of them on google images:

TOOO CUTE! You could use the leather punch and then cross stitch on them!

OOooh and crochet on them! Now I must buy some garden clogs and a leather punch!
and I hate crocs too.
On the subject of bling for crocs being the attraction couldn't you punch simillar sized holes into the clogs so you could buy the croc "bling" for them? I'm sure you could!
